After launching its first Ontario store in early 2026, Pop Mart, the Beijing-based brand behind the Labubu, Crybaby, and Skullpanda, is officially coming to Toronto.

Although an opening date has yet to be revealed (It is opened as of July 7, 2026), the brand is set to unveil a new location at the Toronto Eaton Centre, located in the city’s downtown core at 220 Yonge St.

The store will be located on level one of the mall next to The Body Shop and Future Tech.

Earlier this year on Feb. 21, Pop Mart brought its first Ontario store to the Toronto Premium Outlets in Halton Hills, just under 40 minutes away from the city.

This followed the previous launch of Canada’s first Pop Mart outpost in British Columbia at Richmond Centre in December 2025.

“Pop Mart is a rising global force in pop culture and entertainment. Our purpose is to celebrate the daily moments and inspire through designer toys and fun experiences,” according to the company.

“We manage and represent incredible artists from all over the world. Our roster spans dozens of characters like Molly, Dimoo, Skullpanda, The Monsters, Hirono and more.”

Pop Mart and its toys have been a trend in Toronto and beyond for over a year, specifically when it comes to Labubu.

The plush toys are often purchased in “blind boxes,” meaning customers won’t know exactly which character they receive until they open it. Celebrities like Lisa from BLACKPINK and Lizzo have also been spotted with Labubu’s, adding to the novelty.

With its rise in popularity, Pop Mart, founded in 2010, currently has more than 500 stores in more than 30 countries and regions around the world. It also runs more than 2,300 Robo Shops (vending machines) and its e-commerce platform.

In 2024, Pop Mart achieved a revenue of 13.04 billion RMB (Renminbi, the official currency of the People’s Republic of China), displaying a year-on-year increase of 106.9 per cent.

“Our mission is to light up passion and bring joy around the world,” according to the company.

“Pop Mart is not just a brand, it’s a galaxy of creative possibilities.”

"I know, but it doesn't mean I can't make believe indoors! We're going for a ride in the Peacemobile -- just to the kitchen, and the dining table, and maybe the room under the stairs, and we're going to believe everything will be alright. You try it too!"

Keeping the faith in this unreal, challenging time -- keep believing, keep hopeful, keep smiling, even if some days are a little more difficult 🌻 Big virtual hugs to you 💗

The toy store at Funn mall, North Bridge Road,

On the doorstep of the Spring season, the adventurous Peach Riot band member Frankie has packed a generous ensemble for her long-awaited return to the great outdoors. Months of hard-pouring, bitingly-cold rain had swept across her most frequented venues for hiking. When they finally reeled back, the forests and meadows had sprouted back with a far richer shade of green than had been seen in a long while. Frankie - eager as ever to fill her lungs with the crisp cool air of the new year - stands at the ready for the wilderness to welcome her back.

Ever since the "Peach Riot" figures caught my eye - and the realization that there was a generous array of different fashion styles to choose from - I knew for certain what I wanted to acquire next.

Accordingly, here we see Frankie, Poppy, and Gigi in their "Rise Up" variant outfits. They were kind enough to strike a few poses while testing out their fits, as well. In spite of them facing the bright afternoon sunlight with the summer heat radiating from the pavement beneath them, they all showed a stunning degree of patience and creativity in their work. The photoshoot went well overall, and I'd say we found an appropriate fashion choice for any future street-level modeling trips.
