Welcome to Circa39, an 82-room boutique hotel on Miami Beach's Collins Avenue. Ideally located just steps away from the Atlantic Ocean and its white beaches, and minutes from the buzzing world of South Beach and Ocean Drive, Circa39 is a refreshingly relaxing oasis of gentle ocean breezes.

The former Copley Plaza Hotel was built in 1939 and still retains all of the charm and elegance of the era. Following a full-renovation, this Miami Beach favorite features a relaxing pool and deck, in-house bistro, massage cabanas in a tropical garden setting and comfortable guest rooms with ocean, garden and pool views.

The Pool Cleaner Is Broken

Our popular poolside suites are two-rooms including a bedroom with 2double beds and a living-room with sleeper sofa and kitchenette that has a full-size refrigerator, cook-top, and microwave. These suites do have two flat screen TVs and granite countertops as well. A communal patio surrounds the poolside and the convenient location makes for easy access to the pool, Tiki deck, and beach!

Shot at a friend's home outside Vegas. They have this incredible lap pool that made a great vanishing point of a background, so I snapped some shots of the kids. This was my first roll with my new (old) Mamiya 330 Pro TLR.

Scanned with an Epson V750P, and besides a little tweaking to remove a slight bluish color cast in the scanner, exactly as scanned.

Escape to pure `poolside` `relaxation`. This `vacation` moment awaits. Discover more stunning escapes on my profile!

2022_CLondon52w5: Something Familiar

From the C.London website: “Something a lot of photographers struggle with is inspiration. This often manifests from the mundane droll of everyday life. To that I say: that's your everyday life, and what may be uninspiring to you may be fascinating to another. All our life experiences are different. So to recalibrate a little, find something that you interact with every day (thing, place, person, animal, etc.) and photograph that. Try photographing it from at least ten different angles, play with lighting (reflecting light, table lamps, or if you’re fancy whatever photographic lighting set-up you have.) Choose the one best from what you’ve created and share that.”

Since I’m on vacation and don’t have all my “at home” familiar things around me, I’ve had to resort to looking at familiar things during this two week stint. This image represents how the afternoons typically end; sitting poolside watching the sun descend behind the mountains. It’s a rare day with clouds and I took advantage of the formations, color and fortuitous silhouette.
