It sure has a unique character to it, almost 3d with vivid colors and swirly out of focus areas...
Helios-44 is a series of standard lenses for SLR cameras, produced in Soviet Union by KMZ, MMZ, Jupiter from 1958 till 1992 (2001?) and it is considered to be one of most mass produced lenses in the world. Based on the lens Biotar 2 / 58 , at the beginning was called "БТК" - "БиоТар Красногорский" (BioTar Krasnogorski). A fast 6-element anastigmat, it was available in both single-coated and multi-coated versions.

Sorry kids, no tranny in these pools. I did hear a cool story about how back in the day they would put goldfish in the kiddie pool and the kids could catch em and take em home.

The original shot was much brighter but I wanted to emphasize the flat-top rock in the foreground. I would've preferred a smoother water surface but the waves here churn the sea-foam so much it would've taken several minutes more to calm the scene down.

I am gradually getting back into shooting photos again. I've had a really difficult 11-12 months taking care of Brenda, myself, and losing our little dog. Of course, the first thing that happens when you start taking pictures after a hiatus is a longing for....more megapixels!!!
