If you drive south through the United States, through Florida, through the Florida Keys, to the end of the road at mile/marker zero... you end up at this house! Then, 90-miles of open-ocean,
and then Cuba! It's quite an amazing island! Come and visit!

History: It was built in 1896 for a cost of $250,000 as a private
residence for Judge Vining Harris. It was converted years later
into a Cuban nightclub called Café Cayo Hueso in 1939. It was
converted back into a residence in 1954 and remained so until
1996, when it underwent a $3 million renovation and was then
converted into an 18-room hotel. Quite an amazing hotel to visit!

Finally ... pool days are here again. I'm just a little bigger than I usually am sitting by the pool ... which makes me feel a bit like a beached whale. But I'm just loving my baby tummy and already getting a little sad that I only have another 5 weeks left to enjoy being pregnant.

While most of the country is in a deep freeze, why not come over here for a dip in the pool? I have to limit the space in the pool to only 20 or so people! (:p
