Ok so the title is a bit tongue in cheek! Taken with a Chinon 50mm f1.9 reversed on to my Pentax K7. Lit with a Diffused SB20 camera right on 1/8 and another SB20 on camera left at 1/16 (and further away)

... put together several elements - sunny, bright day in early fall with blue skies, New York City and a roll of Velvia in your Hass... I feel I could put a bird crap in the focus and it'll come out looking good.
When measured either by the height of its roof, or by the height of its highest habitable floor, Eureka Tower was the tallest residential building in the world when completed in June 2006. It is currently the building with the most floors available for residential occupancy in the world. The tower stands 297 metres in height, with 91 storeys above ground plus one basement level. It is one of only seven buildings in the world with 90 or more storeys and is the 50th tallest building in the world. It is also the second-tallest building in Australia and the tallest building in Melbourne.
Eureka Tower qualifies as the tallest building in Australia in one of the four categories in which heights are ranked, namely height to the floor of the highest occupied level of the building. For comparison, the Q1 apartment tower on the Gold Coast has its highest habitable floor the observation deck, reaching a height of 235 m (771 ft), some 62 m (203 ft) lower than Eureka Tower's highest habitable floor. Q1's highest penthouse apartment is 217 m (712 ft) whilst Eureka's penthouse is 278 m (912 ft) high. However, the spire attached to the top of Q1 exceeds the Eureka Tower in the other two categories, namely "Height to the tip of spire, pinnacle, antenna, mast or flag pole" – in this case, spire – and height to architectural top of the building.
This picture would have been pretty straightforward for someone using the appropriate lens, but I'm not that person. This particular image is a 'vertorama' stitched together from seven photographs in Photoshop CS4. The software did a good job at alignment but wasn't so flash at blending, so there are some minor artefacts that remain. I didn't help by not taking enough care with my camera settings originally. That's also why my planned hdr version was not viable, which in any event would have been completely pointless.
After stitching, I used the lens correction filter to correct for vertical perspective so the tower doesn't look like it's falling over.
There's something so candid about this picture, and I think that's why I'm completely in love with it.

in my grandma's bedroom, Sunday afternoon. feeling sad and fidgety. not sure it's because of the comming Monday or the trifle between family members.
Well there's no point opening it, unless you want to play cruel tricks on tractors or cows. Still, it does provide a meeting place for the Beach Safety Committee...

pointlessly cute advertising for a transit stored-value smart card carried on your phone. Suica is JR East's smart card, valid for almost any local train around Tokyo and also in the Osaka-Kyoto-Nara (Kansai) area.
Once we all have smart card payments built into our phones, though, we won't need to carry around transit cards at all. Right?

Possibly unsafe due to how hard it is to enter and exit -- starts with a slightly raised kerb at the wrong angle (point towards the Garda Station entrance and not the track) and ends at a pedestrian crossing.
Pointless due to it’s short distance.
Obstructive as it slows cyclists and makes it near impossible to turn right.
