Appostato con il capannino mobile vicino alla solita pozzetta d'acqua piovana in mezzo al bosco, alimentata dalle mie taniche nei periodi secchi. Stavo provando a fare i primi scatti con la nuova macchina fotografica e quando ho avuto nel mirino questo passeriforme non potevo credere ai miei occhi, un Organetto in Abruzzo non lo avevo mai visto e fortuna ha voluto che tornasse per ben 7 volte ad abbeverarsi vicino la mia postazione. Il mio amico inanellatore mi ha confermato che è la prima osservazione in assoluto di questa specie per la mia regione. Ogni tanto un po' di fortuna non guasta. Abruzzo - PNGSL
Appointed with the mobile shed near the usual rainwater in the middle of the woods, fed by my tanks in dry periods. I was trying to make the first shots with my new car and when I saw in the viewfinder this passeriform I could not believe it, an Redpoll in Abruzzo I had never seen it and luck would have come back for a good 7 times to drink near my station. My ringing friend confirmed to me that this is the first ever observation of this species for my region. Sometimes a little luck does not hurt.

Dne 18. června 2023 byl oficiálně ukončen provoz lokomotiv řady 242 v Jihomoravském kraji na linkách S2 a S3 z důvodu nastupujících jednotek řady 530 a 550. Snímek byl zachycen nad viaduktem v Dolních Loučkách pár minut po východu slunce a pár dní před ukončením provozu.

Phra Maha Chedi Si Rajakarn is a group of four large stupas, each 42 metres high. These four chedis are dedicated to the first four Chakri kings. Alika Ogochukwu , un giovane uomo nigeriano di 39 anni, padre di un bambino, disabile, risiedente regolarmente a Civitanova Marche è stato massacrato a botte, ferocemente da un tale Filippo Ferlazzi.
Alika era una persona mite, che non aveva mai fatto male a nessuno. Sembra che la sua colpa sia stata qualche apprezzamento alla fidanzata della 'bestia ', ma probabilmente neppure questo. È un delitto assurdo, disumano, dettato da odio razziale, bieco senso di mascolinita' forse, idee suprematiste.
Tra pochi giorni non se ne parlerà più, come di altri delitti simili . Mi domando invece che cosa sarebbe successo se a picchiare mortalmente un 'bianco', senza nessun valido motivo, fosse stato un immigrato 'nero'. La vicenda di Luca Traini , che sparo' contro sei persone di colore per vendicare una ragazza, al grido di Viva l'Italia, e con un Mein Kampf e croci celtiche in tasca ci ricorda qualcosa.
Viva l'Italia, ma non è questa l'Italia che vorrei, certamente.
Credo che tutto questo sia il risultato di anni di parole d'odio, di insofferenza da parte di molti politici, media, opinionisti. Tutti contro il 'nemico', l'immigrato di pelle nera ( perché quelli biondi sono accolti e riveriti), quello che ci vuole invadere, vuole estinguere la nostra razza, toglierci il lavoro, la casa, tutto...
Adesso che si avvicinano le elezioni sono riprese quotidianamente le notizie dei barconi , dei taxi del mare, delle migliaia di disperati che arrivano sulle nostre coste e vogliono avvelenare la nostra vita.
Era già un po' che non si sentivano più queste notizie :la televisione era occupata a mostrarci i milioni di Ucraini che arrivavano in Italia, con scene drammatiche di quanto soffrivano accompagnate da musica altrettanto drammatica, invitandoci ad accoglierli, a fare donazioni per aiutarli. I bambini avevano persino i cartoni nella loro lingua, gli adulti un telegiornale tutto per loro.
Con la caduta del Governo la musica è cambiata , ricompare la paura del diverso, del 'nero', che si vuole appropriare della nostra terra, della nostra vita.
Certo l'immigrazione è un problema che va studiato, regolato, ma non per propaganda politica, facendo leva sugli istinti più bassi e bestiali della gente e sulle loro paure. È molto facile trovare nemici, capri espiatori su cui scagliarsi.
Spero che l'operaio italiano che ha commesso questo feroce e inutile delitto venga punito giustamente, che ci sia giustizia per la famiglia di Alika e che la sua anima possa trovare pace

After having luck with the timing of sun and clouds at two prior locations, we weren't sure what to expect at Tobyhanna. Upon arrival it was overcast and snowing. Moments before PO-75 appeared the cloud cover decreased, and the snow tapered off. A few flakes can be seen against the dark background of Tobyhanna station as DL 3007 eases past.

Adelaide was experiencing a huge surge in coronavirus cases in mid to late December after opening our borders in late November to interstate visitors.
I had a week off but worked a few hours most days from home to support our operations as they revved up to perform internal contact tracing, figure out the ever changing rules, answer questions from staff, identify impacted staff & clients, perform RAT & PCR swabs, direct staff & clients to isolate appropriately, roster replacement staff, ...
It was a small tsunami for Adelaide as we had been COVID zero before the borders opened.
Happily we have a couple of really competent managers directed the over 2,000 disability support team and stayed on top on the situation.
Our disabled clients at are at high risk as many have multiple comorbidities, and our support workers are in very close contact with them.
