Adelaide was experiencing a huge surge in coronavirus cases in mid to late December after opening our borders in late November to interstate visitors.
I had a week off but worked a few hours most days from home to support our operations as they revved up to perform internal contact tracing, figure out the ever changing rules, answer questions from staff, identify impacted staff & clients, perform RAT & PCR swabs, direct staff & clients to isolate appropriately, roster replacement staff, ...
It was a small tsunami for Adelaide as we had been COVID zero before the borders opened.
Happily we have a couple of really competent managers directed the over 2,000 disability support team and stayed on top on the situation.
Our disabled clients at are at high risk as many have multiple comorbidities, and our support workers are in very close contact with them.
The industry is heavily regulated with active oversight from the state health department and national disability commission.
Letnia wędrówka po dziewiczych dla mnie terenach Bieszczad, niejednokrotnie powodowała szybsze bicie serca i zachwyt, który malował się na mojej twarzy ;-)
Wrażenia te głównie były spowodowane przez Matkę Naturę, ale nie tylko.
Idąc z Balnicy w kierunku Łupkowa szlakiem przez las pachnący swoistą świeżością po przejściu burzy, mogłem się rozkoszować cudownym spektaklem światła i cienia, które we mgle która spowiła całą trasę tworzyły iście bajkowy klimat!
Kilkukrotnie aparat wręcz sam wskakiwał w ręce aby uwiecznić te świetlno-mgliste leśne wspaniałości jakie były dookoła!
Ta bieszczadzka baśniowa sceneria słonecznych promieni przedzierających się przez drzewa i tańcząca we mgle i we wszechobecnej dookoła zieleni, urzekała swoją prostotą i pięknem!
W głowie zaś zaprzątniętej ciszą, spokojem i wspaniałymi leśnymi odgłosami śpiewających ptaków, kołatała cały czas jedna myśl - ja tu jeszcze wrócę!
