the weather was calling for rain (which never happened...argh), so we bailed on critical mass and walked to the opening of the DIY Plushform Show at Rotofugi and then decided to walk to wicker park to get dinner. we ran into leigh and her friends on the street and walked to jerrys and then dj and i walked all the way to mikos. vanilla ice was playing a $5 show outside next to cannes - so we stuck around in front of the bar to see if we can catch one of his songs, since the stage was right there, but we waited for 20 minutes and he still hadnt gone on yet. thats about all the time we were willing to give for vanilla ice (c+c music factory is tonight! ha). we cut down milwaukee avenue to head home and ran into megan and cece which was a lovely suprise and then walked all the way home.
Ive come to the realization that in this area, a woman wearing jeans is not the norm. these girls get dolled up! ive also noticed all the fancy stores coming into this area: marc jacobs, le sportesac, etc....this is coming very very soho-ish. times are a-changin' thats for sure....
