Alameda County Fair Fireworks in Plesanton, CA
This is a image composed of fireworks images I taken during the fireworks show last night.
I decided to stay in my own town to shoot the fireworks in this holiday since the fog rolled in to the city. Nothing beat the good time to stay with the family and friends in the holiday, and I don't have to wait in the cold for several hours and was able to make to the spot from the newly built sport complex within 30 mins before the fireworks show:-)
The Alameda County Fairgrounds is a 270-acre (110 ha) facility located in Pleasanton, California. It is home to the annual Alameda County Fair, held since 1912,[1] as well as numerous trade shows and community events.
On a lengthy Oakland bound container train, UP 6367 still wearing its as delivered Southern Pacific paint scheme serves as the distributed power unit for assisting the train over Donner Pass and more recently in its journey, Altamont Pass. The train is passing the Castlewood Country Club and is on the home strech with Oakland only a few cities away. I wish the 6367 had of been on point of the train, but as always with these engines, it was a treat to see it regardless in 2020.
On a dreary April morning, UP 8595 leads Union Pacific's weekly high priority container train westbound through the trees of the Castlewood Country Club in the outskirts of Pleasanton, California. Despite the rainy conditions, this didn't slow down the train and it flew by me at track speed, blowing water and cool wind onto my face while I held my camera beneath my jacket to protect it from the elements. With my car on the otherside other side of the tracks, I had to wait out the whole thing and walked back soaking wet, but was it worth it? Of course!

On a sunny winter morning, CSXT 5381 rockets beneath Interstate 680 with a train of autoracks and empty well cars in tow. The train is bound for Lathrop where the cars will be loaded and sent east. The recent rains resulted in a nice bit of greenery making for quite the colorful shot on what would normally be a bleak morning. The rains didn't seem to have as nice of an effect on the farmer's fence in the foreground, though, leaving it in a further state of disrepair.
As the auttumn trees shed their leaves and a handful of fall colors still hang onto the trees above, Union Pacific's Oakland, Ca - North Platte, NE container train glides through Plesanton, California.
You'll probably want to see this one bigger and on black.
This cropped like a "standard" large format image, namely 4:5 ratio. I have a bunch of gorgeous black frames with 8x10 mats, so I'm trying to actually produce some images that work within those parameters.
The LB does have the potential to make editing more difficult, as seen in the tree's halo-y fuzzies at the ends.

All appliances or “white goods” (clothes washers/dryers, refrigerators, ovens, water heaters, air conditioners, etc) become valuable sources of scrap metal when they are no longer wanted. However, some components in appliances contain hazardous materials that can damage human health and the environment if they are not removed and properly managed. Hazardous components may include: encapsulated polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs); Freon, Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), hydro-chlorofluorocarbons (HCFC) and other refrigerants; mercury in switches and temperature control devices; Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) in metal-encased capacitors; used oil from compressors and transmissions; and any other material that is a regulated hazardous waste. Please dispose of these items properly.
Mooresville, NC - goo.gl/lpO5oM Goodguys Pleasanton started wet but finished strong with some good autocrossing action Sunday. The autocrossing was delayed Saturday after about three runs due to the rain that moved into the area shortly after 9:00 AM. At the time Mike Maier, Brian Hobaugh, Ryan Mathews in the DSE 1969 Camaro Test Car, and Kyle Tucker in the DSE 1970 Camaro Test Car were all neck in neck battling for the top spot.
With the autocross closed down for the day, the crew was able to hang back at the hauler and help out customers with any questions they had. The usual assortment of Detroit Speed suspension and handling products were on hand along with the new 2010+ Camaro products.
With Saturday almost a complete washout, the drivers were eager to get back out on the track Sunday. The weather was a little better and held out allowing the drivers to get their runs in. After the dust settled, Brian Hobaugh and his 1965 Corvette took home his 3rd straight Goodguys Autocross Pro Class victory. It was awesome to see Brian's dad, Steve, run the Corvette in the Street Machine Class. Ryan Mathews and Kyle Tucker came up a few seconds short running in 4th and 5th place consecutively with Mikey Maier finishing in 2nd. The gap is widening in the race for the Pro Class championship with Brian's 3rd victory in 3 races but there is a long season ahead and anything can happen.
The Detroit Speed crew is now on their way to Southern California outside of San Diego for the Goodguys Del Mar event and are eager to get back on the track. We hope to see you out there!

However, some components in appliances contain hazardous materials that can damage human health and the environment if they are not removed and properly managed. Hazardous components may include: encapsulated polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs); Freon, Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), hydro-chlorofluorocarbons (HCFC) and other refrigerants; mercury in switches and temperature control devices; Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) in metal-encased capacitors; used oil from compressors and transmissions; and any other material that is a regulated hazardous waste.
