There is a fabulous museum in Elk City, Oklahoma, right on Rt. 66. It is arranged like an old village, with lots of buildings and old farm equipment. It has a spectacular rodeo museum, and an old home full of antiques and displays. Several parts of the museum focus on Route 66 memorabilia and the history of The Mother Road. If you ever have a chance to visit, it is so worth it! National Route 66 Museum

Dunrobin Castle is the most northerly of Scotland's great houses and the largest in the Northern Highlands with 189 rooms. Dunrobin Castle is also one of Britain's oldest continuously inhabited houses dating back to the early 1300s, home to the Earls and later, the Dukes of Sutherland. The Castle, which resembles a French château with its towering conical spires, has seen the architectural influences of Sir Charles Barry, who designed London’s Houses of Parliament.

"One of my favorite images from 2013 is this image. It was early and I was on my way to photograph the baby gorillas at the NC Zoo, when I decided to quickly stop and see the lions. I couldn't believe my eyes at first, but quickly setup my tripod and started taking pictures. I bracketed the exposures and moved around a few times taking about 20 different shots in all.
I have an enlarged version of this photo above my stairs coming down from our playroom. I love seeing the image as it reminds me of how beautiful and unexpected life can be."
