Cementerio Sud ó Cementerio Viejo, San Andres de Giles, Buenos Aires, Argentina

Paralelo a la Ruta 7, hacia el lado sur de San Andres de Giles, enfrente del club de planeadores "Albatros", se encuentra el Cementerio Sud ó como lo llaman los habitantes de esa tierra, el Cementerio Viejo.

Era el tercer cementerio de ubicado en esas localidades, el cual fue terminado en 29 de Noviembre de 1873 y fue inaugurado al año siguiente. Su creación fue a causa de la creciente epidemia de Colera 1867 / 1868 y Fiebre amarilla de 1869 que azoto esa región y desbordo la capacidad de la Necrópolis existente hasta ese momento. Por este motivo se le encargo al Arquitecto y Constructor Italiano Francisco Rivelli las obras de la nueva Necrópolis.

En 1919 se determina que el cementerio Sud Debe cerrarse. Comienza un periodo de deterioro y vandalismo, hasta que en 1980 una notificación Municipal avisaba a las personas que tenian familiares sepultados alli, que debian hacer un traslado de los restos hacia un cementerio definitivo, que esta en el lado Norte.

Hoy victima del paso del tiempo, del poco cuidado como existencia de la historia y huella del pasado, solo quedan parados desafiantes algunas bobedas y construcciones entre medio de la maleza

The 2nd part of the lens test. Even with the aperture wide open I could get very sharp pictures. It seems that this combination (Sigma 150-500 mm f/5,0-6,3 APO HSM + Sigma APO Tele Converter EX DG) works very well.

1. It is hard to take a selfie in focus

2. It is hard to toss leaves and not look goofy at the same time

3. who cares when you are having fun!

When I overindulge in a giant breakfast at the Otter Cafe I stagger outside to visit my hawthorns. Every shot is evidence of another inch on my waistline. Watch for these trees. They indicate a yielding to temptation. I cannot resist them either.
