Plansee is a lake in Tyrol, Austria, located close to the municipalities Breitenwang and Heiterwang in the district of Reutte.

Es war schon ein wenig mühsam an diesen Standort zu kommen. Aber die wundervolle Sicht auf den Plansee hat uns belohnt.

It was a bit of a hassle to get to this location. But the wonderful view of the Plansee has rewarded us.

Ein malerischer, von Bergen umgebener See in Österreich/Tirol innerhalb der Ammergauer Alpen. / A picturesque lake surrounded by mountains in Austria/Tyrol within the Ammergau Alps.

Rechts am See geht die Autostrasse entlang. Bei dieser Spiegelung hielten viele an und bewunderten den Ausblick.

The car road goes along to the right of the lake. At this reflection, many stopped and enjoyed the view.

After discovering this line of sight on the map it was pretty clear where we wanted to shoot this morning. Already the arrival at the spot offered a magical view, even when the mountain was completely covered in clouds. But later, just at the right time, it unveiled its full beauty. As we were taking photographs, two others of our group were actually ascending to the summit. Later they reported it was a very cold breeze going on up there! Thanks to Nicky and Patrick for joining me on that morning!
