I've been interested in the massively popular card game Magic: the Gathering recently, and have been playing the Gideon planeswalker deck a lot, so I decided to do a miniland style figure of him after I was inspired by www.flickr.com/photos/kumipallomaa 's amazing Magic figures. I highly suggest you check him out!

The elven planeswalker may be a student, but don't dismiss her based on that fact! Be it blade or spell, she won't back down from a fight, and she sure as hell won't bend the knee to the likes of you.

Ajani Goldmane from Magic: The Gathering.

"Ajani Goldmane is torn between his Leonin ferocity and his sense of justice. He was born on Naya and became an outcast within his own family, an albino Leonin never accepted by the rest of his pride. The only one who cared about him was his brother Jazal, the leader of their pride and Ajani's inspiration. Ajani had always shown potential as a mage and healer, but had assumed his main calling was to be a warrior in Jazal's service. The day that Ajani's brother was assassinated by unknown forces was the day that Ajani's Planeswalker spark ignited, and everything changed." ~ Excerpt from Magic: The Gathering, Website

Ajani Goldmane is aligned with White Mana. This is the first of five in my Magic: The Gathering series of minifigures (One for each of the five colors of Mana). Stay tuned for more!

Aftermarket parts are from Brick Forge, Brick Warriors, and Cape Madness (Bricklink).

"The mind: a great weapon and an even greater weakness."

"When you find yourself teetering on the edge of oblivion, mine will be the hands taking pleasure in giving you the final push.".

"Life grows everywhere. My kin merely find those places where it grows strongest."

No quotes because, gosh! how I hated IA deck on Duels in BFZ season.

Anyways, Th-th-th-that's all folks.

A color-swapped Tamiyo.

My favorite planeswalker, attempted to be built in a similar style to eero okkonen, based on his recent nissa moc. Realized I was WAY shorter on regular green system parts than I thought a little ways in, hence the hockey chest and rahkshi head. Super happy with her head.

Someone told me that they are basically the Justice League/Avengers for the Magic the Gathering Universe. So I had to try!

I am doing nothing today. NOTHING! And so I decided to take this time to narrate a couple of tales of retail success. I am a girl fond of retail as many are. I am also a girl fond of men's shirts and a girl fond of angsting men with broad chests which hopefully has hair on it...

The first tale is the long promised tale of THE SHIRT. A tale of public humiliation and the great love between a girl and a flowery fabric that surpassed it all.

THE SHIRT was one of Marks and Spencer's Autograph range, last of its kind in the Clarks Village shop where it was initially reduced to £26. I fell in love with it on account of its combination of neon blue and paisley AND flowers. It was just so over the top for a man's shirt and it was just my size... Possibly why no one bought it for the 6 weeks I was walking by it salivating as it was further reduced to £17 and then £15...

It was finally reduced to £10... By this stage showing signs of dust and depression. I was circling it like a vulture because at that price it was still more than I usually pay for a shirt ( I am a voracious bargain hunter... My wardrobes EXPLODE from designer labels I snagged at a cost of a pound or two). Then a group of two young men and a very attractive and well dressed woman approached it and my heart broke because I was CERTAIN that the very elegant trio would snag it and I will see it no more ( this shirt was not available on the website nor in any other shop I frequented).

My heart broke even further when the lovely looking gang started mocking . MOCKING!!! MY DREAM SHIRT!!! Now, it would have been easier if those were a bunch of NEDish chavs or peasant-y rid-raf or even if they were slimy city type high on cash and low on brains... You know... The kind who like to patronise wine waitresses without realising how everyone around them think they are a twat including the wine waitress who find them pathetically amusing ...

But no, these were actually really well spoken, clean and actually good humoured people. I ACTUALLY LIKE THEM. The kind I look at and go... "Yeah, I think I could really enjoy being part of their group" kind of people.

I couldn't take it. I couldn't take their brutal disregard to the feeling of my beloved shirt. MY shit I said. They called it preposterous. They named it MONSTROSITY. They said: "what man would wear such a thing?" The lovely and incredibly well dressed lady almost made me sob out loud when she declared: "not even a woman would dare being seen dressed in public in such a..."

I didn't listen any longer. With courage born out of desperation I strode forward and with burning cheeks and bowed head... Grabbed the shirt and made my escape towards the till accompanied by peels of laughter ...

I guess me and the lovely trio would never be friends after all...

I had tears in my eyes as I stroked the shirt whilst it was being scanned.

"£5". Declared the till lady.

I am a fair customer so I pointed out that the price tag says double that.

"Till said £5,". Insisted the till lady, "I don't get paid enough to argue with till... And besides. Even five pounds are a lot for such a... Oh, I am sorry..."

AND THAT IS THE TALE OF THE SHIRT.

The tale of the planeswalker is that I once got drunk and bought AN ENTIRE BOX OF RETURN OF RAVNICA BOOSTERS... After recovering from the shock most of which was financial and some of which was alcoholic induced, me and the first born sat and tore open every pack in the hope of scoring a JACE ARCHITECT OF THOUGHTS because I have a big boner for his angst and for his many predecessors one of which spells dirty words with magic sigil... And I like that in a man even more than broad hairy chest...

BUT THERE WAS NO JACE IN ANY BOOSTER PACK!!!

I felt so cheated out of my coin there are no words to describe my rage and devastation.

I swore to never again buy a Return to Ravnica booster... NEVER! You hear me? NEVEEEEEEER!!!!!

Yesterday, after boring myself half to death with hangover and grocery shopping, I decided to head to Street and see if they have some Dark Ascention boosters in my local shop. My grocery shopping got to £99.56 exactly so I decided to buy a single booster and make it an even £100... Give or take £3... Ok... More of a GIVE but... SHUDDUP!!!

So there I was in the shop arguing with the shop assistant about why he has nothing but RtR boosters when a week before he promised me a large array of all kind of shiny cards and suddenly their delivery got stuck in the floods on the moon behind Jupiter whose grandmother broke her elbow In a yak race accident in Timbuktu...

Weeeelllll... He is a really nice shop assistant. The kind I wish was 10 years older so I had no guity feelings about daydreaming about jumping him behind the counter... All slightly chubby with glasses and a tiny goaty ... And really REALLY nice.

So I bought one RtR booster and tore it open with my teeth...

And like a super nerdy version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, out slipped Mr. Poster Boy Jace...

"OMG! YOU SCORED A PLANESWALKER!" Squeaked the lovely jail bait shop assistant as I shamelessly orgasmed in public.

So today seeing as nothing seem to happen. BLISSFULLY. I arranged Jace on THE SHIRT... And then pulled out my camels from the days of playing with the ARABIAN NIGHTS deck...(YES I AM OLD AND HAVE BEEN LOSING AT MAGIC SINCE ALPHA!)... Which unsurprisingly was my favourite deck EVAR!

And I find the result inane yet pleasing.

Yes it is true. One of my superpowers is to talk endlessly about boring stuff... You are free to go now....;_;.
