I really love covering this music festival and have done so since 2007 with two exceptions. I also really love finding people in a crowd who have their own unique style and are comfortable being just who they are no matter what that entails. I just published a guide of recommendations for those who are interested in attending this year:

This photo is actually from 2009 and I never really did anything with it until now. For many different publications, I was always asked to take a ton of crowd photos and I resented it. Ironically, these are some of the photos I love the most now.

The thing about this photo in particular is that it was taken 7 years ago, which has left me wondering...what happened to this girl. So much can change besides hair color in a person's life. This is just a single and perhaps fractured moment of time for this person. I will know her forever as the really awesome looking girl who seemed a little confused momentarily but completely punk rock. I will probably always wonder what happened to her. But, perhaps, I will run into her this weekend. If you are you, say hello if you see me.,,

If you're going to the fest, I also did a preview for recommendations of bands to see here: www.thelineofbestfit.com/news/latest-news/pitchfork-music...

I spent some time at the Oregon coast this weekend and encountered some pretty wild weather: hail, high winds, bright sunshine, light rays, crazy clouds...

All of it was fantastic infrared weather, so that's what I mostly shot.

That foot is all toes and when relaxed like this, it looks like a pitchfork. Green herons are odd little birds.

View from Klondike Highway... At the top, the railroad bridge is actually part of the track on which the White Pass (Yukon Route) trains traverse many times a day. This 1900ft waterfall is regulated by a hydroelectric facility to provide power to the town of Skagway, AK.

Have an exciting day, everyone...

The mountains are calling, folks. Great, big smoky ones. Be back in a couple weeks. (with photographic proof, of course!)

Project Pitchfork at Marthalle / Hamburg

This was taken at a wee photo-shoot I did with Pitchfork Assassin, a new band formed in Glasgow. I believe there is a bottle of malt whisky with my name on it coming my way for taking the shots :)

Pennsylvania Farm Show 2015

The levels of rust and decay on this old pitchfork fascinated me. I was wandering around merrily amusing myself with the random junk I found at a collectors store. You know the kind... an old business that has almost anything you can imagine stacked up or laid out in buildings, trailers, under canopies, in the open, hanging from wires, some half buried from years of neglect and others lined up as if on display. I took about 40 shots while my husband negotiated for an antique straight razor to add to his collection.

I found 15 old bathtubs all lined up by size with the last couple mingled into the line of old antique tractors and fun farm equip. I can't believe I didn't take more shots. The only thing I can figure is I was punchdrunk on rust and just overwhelmed by so many possibilities.

Hopefully my lack of success with flickr's new design is starting to work itself out, no promises because we have only one option for non-satellite provider's and it happens to be the worst rated provider of all time...Seriously, they are so bad that our towns Mayor along with the City Council filed a formal complaint on the company on behalf of the residents. I'm not included because I live in the "outlying rural" area, in fact my connection is the very last one on this line...believe me by the time signals filter down to me it's pretty distorted.

This morning I was able to sign on relatively easy, not too unreasonable loading time. Posting this and moving on to see what you all have been posting lately :)

Forest pitchfork oscillates in the e(nig)m(atical) key

A close-up view of the seeds of Bindens pilosa weed indicate why they have such a successful means of seed dispersal. Barbed projections at the apex of each seed catch onto clothing and animal fur and feathers. People who walk through areas infested with this pest can attest to the tedious task of removing these seeds and discovering the many hidden places to which they have attached themselves, giving them the sarcastic title of "Farmers' Friends"! They are also called "Cobblers' Pegs", "beggar-ticks", "Spanish needle" and "Devils Pitchfork".

When the FARMWELL Supply Company decided to stop manufacturing their iconic pitchfork, peasants were forced to turn to the second-hand market and pay inflated prices. Berwick has made a name for himself as the village Pitchfork Procurer, always scooping up the best deals on Picklink.

Love love love her outfit, if only it was a full print tho ;L Anyways, she's rocking this look, the shoes are to die for too. Not really liking the red streak, she has enough hair under it so I could pull it out but I'm not sure if I want too.
