In the forest at Webb's Copse at this time of year the low sun filters through the trees into the depth of the woodland.
This beautiful sunset "the coming shiftl" was taken in Isle of Pines in New Caledonia with a Canon EOS 700D camera. Enjoy the coming shift in your DNA with Gratitude, Love and Light!
The pine is the dominant tree of my region present in most forested areas. The plantation has begun for many years and for economic reasons, especially for timber and resin used as raw material for diverse products. The pines are also dangerous, because they drop needle-shaped leaves covering the ground with a "carpet" of leaves (as seen in the photo), which are very flammable and one of the main reasons of fires in the region.
It's a cold winter afternoon. The sun has set behind the forest. We are with my dog Helmi in a swamp, among low pine trees. A wonderful moment, just to be here now.

The Waning Light...
Only 19 days left to the official start of spring in North America... i get giddy and excited at the first signs of spring and the weather as of late has been quite mild. unseasonably so.
Down by the creek the ducks are pairing up and mating with only a month of winter left the hatchlings should be ready to hit the water by the last weeks of April.
This shot is of a pine tree its branches laden down with dozens of pinecones; the waning sun pushing through the clouds in the background.

Europe, The Netherlands, Friesland, Vlieland, Dunes, Sand, Forest, Pine trees (slightly cut from B&T)
The Wadden isle of Vlieland is nicely windswept. And nature adapts to it. Captured near the Vuurboetsduin.
This is number 48 of the Naar het Noorden and number 7 of the new Vlieland album.
The dead pinetree is an icon and is in contrast with the warm autumn colors surrounding the Galgenven, a forest lake near my home.
The other day I was out at Görväln for some walking about and quick photographing. It was a very overcast day and the sunset did not produce any spectacular colours. However, i spotted this scene and thought it could be an ok photograph. Hope you like it.

A view of some of the pine trees in Gussetts Wood, as seen from the path close to the western edge of the wood
A very strang phenomenon seen by the Etang de Gruère : the water was full of humus and the snow started fall. So the water started to be gorged with snow. I cannot understand why, however it created these marble-like patterns. Unfortunately, the weather was not perfect to take pictures ( with an easy to burn sky), but I had no choice : on the afternoon, the water was totally covered with snow. An unperfect picture, but a very astonishing phenomenon ...
