Within a few more years, trees and bushes will be growing through portions of the body of this old Chevrolet, one of more than four thousand automobiles colleced by the owners of Old Car City in White, Georgia. This place is a photographers dream.
This old truck is one of about four thousand and four hundred old vehicles (1970's or older) that are in the 34 acre 'Junk Yard Attraction & Art Collection' at "Old Car City" in White, Georgia about 30-40 miles north of Atlanta, Georgia. Originally started as a small country store with a few old cars from which they sold parts, the 'junkyard' of automobiles grew and grew. Today, parts are no longer for sale but the location has become a destination for photographers from all over the USA and beyond. You pay an admission fee and wander through the almost six miles of trails photographing these wonderful classic old cars and trucks
It was a nice surprise to spot the Tri-colored Crocus in full bloom in our backyard. Morgan County, Alabama - 2022.

I believe this old truck has been parked a bit too long in its present position....long enough for a tree to actually grow up between the bumper and the front grill of the old vehicle. {Old Car City, Georgia}

Whenever we approach the Lotus Pond, we hear the alarm calls of the frogs just before they splash into the water to escape the arrival of the two-legged monsters!
That usually means if we want to see any frogs, we have to wait them out. Waiting, and waiting, for them to get up the courage to quietly ease back onto the lily pads to see if the coast is clear.
But sometimes, we'll spot one out in the open, just sitting there, like this one! The brave ones who weren't intimidated by our presence. That, or they were so terrified they were frozen with fear, and took the "hiding in plain sight" mode of survival.
Whatever the reason, I'm ever so grateful this one stayed put, as it was the only one I saw this trip. The others remained too well hidden.
Flashback to January 21, 2023 before the extreme cold spell arrived A crocus or two had popped up and it was beginning to look like spring was on the way. . . . just wanted to add some color after an overload of sparrow images.
When a Goodie Bowl gets tipped over the squirrels really like what's inside. It's almost like a nod of approval to the chef.
One might think this tipping over is a nuisance, but when the contents spill out like this, it now allows some birds to partake in the treats which they might otherwise have ignored.
Was doing some birdwatching late the other day and I nearly fell out of my chair when i saw a Robin at the water fountain! Almost as soon as I grabbed a few shots, ANOTHER one showed up and hopped up to join the first one!
And THEN a third one showed up and foraged around a bit. I held my breath hoping it would join the other two. but then a squirrel raced over to get a drink of water and they all flew off.
We normally only see Robins in spring, so to see not just one but three at one time in fall was quite a surprise!
I've been watching this evolve for a while. The spiders who made the web are long gone, but the web has remained strong enough to catch a lot of what the wind throws at it.

Was doing some birdwatching the other day and spotted this female Northern Cardinal perched high in the holly bush.
Grabbed a few shots and noticed a male Cardinal in the background, doing a great job of photobombing her!
Autumn continues its assault, leaving the wounded and tattered in an ever growing pile of its success. This poor bruise and beaten leaf landed in a wet, but cushioned pile of pine straw, pine needles to you northerners.
No, I didn't cause this. What kind of a guy do you think I am? Okay, I did take advantage and snapped a couple photos, but by then, the mushroom was exactly as you see it. Sorry if I caused any embarrassment...

I've basically sat on my butt all day playing Sims 3 and blasting Breathe Carolina.

Sims 3 is my new life.
This is another favorite spot to visit during the rainy season there’s usually standing water which draws wildlife to the area. Many times there are deer bedded down on the soft pine straw not this day unfortunately. Even still this is a tranquil view of wild landscape in Florida.
