Well, I must confess: all this "West Dune Customs" stuff I came up with, should have been just something to introduce my new MOC. Obviously it got completely out of control, gaining its own dignity, so I hope you won't be disappointed with the real MOC.
Here it is, a X-34 Tatooine landspeeder revamped in a Classic Space way, another Classic Space - Star Wars mashup from me, after Rey's speeder. What's wrong with me and speeders?
I got the same idea my friend billyburg got, but he's clearly a faster builder than me, so he uploaded his version (billyburg's classic space landspeeder) to Flickr more than a month ago. I love his version so much that I almost gave up building mine; I didn't want to give the impression of copying other people's work. Luckily, this thought lasted just less than a day...
No piece has been cut or glued. For the "snot reversal tecniques" I used on the rear of the speeder and on the side of the seats I have to thank kosbrick and his tutorials.
For the turbines design credits to Larry Lars. As I already wrote, I tried at least three different versions of the turbines, but I ended up using his, the one, eventually, I was happiest with.
I think it's a very hot landspeeder, but I am, obviously, not impartial. Maybe a little too long, but at the West Dune Custom they had to lenghten the chassis to install such a badass engine. ;-)
And the license plate? Well, 1970 is the year I was born, so LL970 was a straight choice... :D
..and their boxes :P
all pimped by me XD
**Check out the BEFORE pic of the shoes in the first comment :D

So I have to thank my Nemesis Amber (Yoda) for the inspiration for this "pimped" shot... and also for telling me the secret formula... She's a clever little thing sometimes... ;)
Original photo by me, this version pimped by graguie for the Pimp My Pixels group.

Just another attempt, now that I have my full editing software back. Meh. Not completely happy with it, but it's going to take a bit of time to get used to my tools again.
Note: This is NOT my photo. This is just an edit.
Daves neighbour thought he was the better pimp because he'd bought some bitches with him. I pointed out that mine were on the streets making me money
Found in the grounds of abandoned asylum Whittingham Hospital, do you think X-Hibit or Westwood can pimp dis?
Aberdeen Marine Operations Centre. They need to fix the blue lights in the lower two windows.
HDR using the A200's lame +/-0.7 auto bracketing. I tried to keep it subtle / realistic to look how it did at the time.
Please do not post large or sparky graphics in comments, thanks.
How many of you remember MTV’s Pimp my ride, with its extravagant cars? I do, and I must confess I enjoyed that series! When I saw for the first time the LEGO Rey’s Speeder set, I don’t know exactly why, but I thought (almost) immediately of Benny and that show…
So I decided to build the speeder in the Classic Space colors, added some very badass (imho) details, boosted the engines, added a second seat and… obviously thought of a Xzibit minifig for the space era.
The story is this: Benny bought on S-bay a used speeder by a certain Rey from Jakku, but it was a downright rip-off. Mr. Robot, in the attempt of cheering his mate up, called MTV and... TA-DAH!!
Hope you like this MTV - Star wars – Classic Space mesh-up, as much as I had fun in thinking it up, building it and photographing it!
Well, actually, as for the photographing part… I did it in a big hurry, so it didn’t come out exactly as I had in my mind, but I had to do it before the Desenzano Event (www.cremonabricks.it/150909_desenzano.php). I promise more photos (and more detailed) next week!
gradients are happening. I'm seeing them all over and though they generally have a bad rep, when applied effectively no one can deny how slick they look. A prime example is in the Justice DVNO video by SoMe which is full of super gloss logos with a retro spacetastic disco flex. I can spend hours creating these effects just for the fun of it.
