Acesta este un aranjament cu o orhidee Miltonia amplasata intr-un cilindru inalt din sticla si decorat cu bucati de sticla colorata.
Orhideea Miltonia provine din America de Sud si este des intalnita in Brazilia, Columbia, Ecuador si Panama. A fost catalogata pentru prima oara de John Lindley in 1837 si poarta numele lui Charles Wentworth-Fitzwilliam, al 5-lea Conte Fitzwilliam, anterior Viconte de Milton, mare iubitor englez de orhidee.
Aceasta miltonia este parfumata!
Orhideele, in general, sunt pline de simbolism. Grecii antici o asociau cu virilitatea, iar in China antica, Confucius compara oamenii virtuosi cu orhideele. In era reginei Victoria a Anglei, nobilii englezi o asociau cu bogatia, luxul, rafinamentul si exotismul. Iar in vremurile noastre, cand oricine isi poate permite o astfel de floare, orhideele reprezinta speranta, puritate, inocenta.
Dimensiuni: inaltime cilindru 50 cm, diametru 20 cm, inaltime cu tija florii 60 cm.

I decided to use the Guinea Pig as a guinea pig as this is the only thing in our household that happens to move with any speed!
I experimented with Automatic Focus Modes (One Shot/AI Focus/AI Servo) and ISO settings in P Mode - again I can't quite remember which images are done with what settings but have hazard a guess.
Pepper lives in a dark corner of our house but in this image I applied an ISO of 400 and Focus either in One Shot or AI Focus (can't quite remember) with the focus on Pepper. This has resulted in too much blur when she moved as the shutter speed was too slow.
Please note how seriously I go about my mission. There's one of the horses that necessitate shit scrapers in the City of Brotherly Love.
