We've been apple picking, pumpkin picking, even Christmas tree picking - but never before today have we been strawberry picking.
If you go, I can't say enough good things about Rideau Pines Farm outside of Manotick toward North Gower. Wonderful people, interesting crops and on this steamy Friday morning with about a week left in the strawberry season, we had the place to ourselves. Also, two pints and about 100 photos for $4 just can't be beat!!
For the week of I. Again, no formal theme choice, though this could fit with "identity."
This shot was taken at Cafe 50s, a restaurant with a clear sense of identity, that has modeled itself as a 50s diner. The walls are lined with advertisements and magazine clippings from the era, and every table is equipped with a mini jukebox selector like this one. I've been there a number of times (they have awesome milkshakes!) and I never get tired of reading the walls.

.....is it treat time?, nap time?, maybe just pet me and look for ticks? She is recovering from a small injury so there is no jumping, no running and stay calm....good luck with all that!
The southbound Adirondack is at St-Lambert where it will pick up a few passengers before continuing on towards New York.
I went apple picking in September with a friend, and we had a great time trying out all different kinds of apples. On this trip, Honeycrisp were my favorite, followed by Gala (or Fuji, my memory isn't too good!).
Print these out onto card stock, cut out & tape onto toothpicks. Voila! Nerdy Princess Bride cupcake picks. Don't say I never did anything for you.
This is just a general pick up truck collecting both the clear and blue bags. Notice, there is a divider in which one side is used for blue bags and the other clear. This is because it is easier to separate it later at the depot rather than picking out the blue bags for example!

The GMC Sierra Classic and its Chevrolet C.K Series counterpart were designed by Bill Mitchell and released for the 1973 model year, replacing the Action Line C.K Trucks, and were dubbed the Rounded Line. Across its 18-year production, the third-generation C/K model line underwent several minor revisions
The Rounded Line trucks underwent a mid-cycle redesign for the 1981 model year. Largely in response to the 1979 energy crisis, vehicles became more aerodynamic, and also shed nearly 300 lbs weight. The body of the C/K trucks was completely reshaped forward of the wind screen. While retaining a distinct shoulder line wrapping around the body, the front wings were reshaped to include a lowered front profile (relocating the side marker lights); the wind screen wipers were now exposed. As part of the body facelift, the 1981 C/K pickup trucks received new grilles and redesigned front bumpers; Chevrolet grilles were split in the middle by a silver/black bar, with GMC grilles divided into ten squares, Square headlights became standard for the first time; base-trim trucks were fitted with two headlights and upper-trim trucks received four headlights The interior underwent its own revision, receiving updates to the seats, door panels, and dashboard. For 1982, the front fascia underwent a trim revision, with a chrome bumper and a chrome-trim front grille becoming standard equipment.
For 1983, the front fascia underwent a minor revision. Along with dropping the two-headlight configuration, Chevrolet and GMC received revised grilles (including the turn signals behind them. For 1984, the two-headlamp configuration returned for base-trim vehicles (relocating the turn signals from the grille to the headlamp surround

As we were hiking along one of the many beautiful carriage roads in Acadia, Brent discovered wild blueberries growing along the sides of the road. The girls excitedly began picking and eating them. Well, Skye and Hayley ate them. Jenna doesn't care for berries of any kind, so she just enjoyed the "picking" part. Then she offered her squished berries to Brent.

While schools are closed - and all classes and activities canceled - until at least April 13, some critical functions are still underway. One of the most important is feeding students. On Thursday, March 26 DMPS began a district-wide meal program, providing free breakfasts and lunches to all students. Meal pick-up will be available at all middle schools along with a dozen auxiliary locations while schools are closed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
