Her name is Captain Lauren Star-killer, and she is supportive commanding officer of military Organization Gar-Force Special Forces and more often as the soldier.
On May 1987 She was being physically suffered with Asperger’s syndrome about age of fourteen When she was originally had been served as special agent in MI6 as apart of government agencies awhile she is still educating in secondary school.

However Lt colonel Frazer and She were being working alongside with their Intel team specialists at our gar-force special forces were about to attempt to track down, and also extracting an collections of archival photographs of those earliest students to match their possible appearance exactly whose were recently been attended in their secondary schools accordance to the school graduation in age of sixteen or eighteen before educating in their further education.
Effectually has any of fellow comrades we were became a hatred of those passionate ways between their once been happened recently towards a population of male and female citizens were rottenly obsessed with each other due to their sexual additions even engagements and marriages came throughout a entire world as mostly partly affected on amongst people with their physical disabilities including autism spectrum disorder and Asperger syndrome.
This is the command of your captain by away if who would whether does became a fucking obsessed for being attractive which is caused by sexual harassment by someone else through out amongst men between women that doesn't really belong to apart of our country in the world shall will be destroyed and wiped out equally.
I also have another commanding officer named lieutenant colonel Dukan Frazer. He is a Intel team specialist that he tracks down which is came up with their positions and whereabouts on targets of those sexual harassment due to a responsibilities for sexual involvement which is between men and women.

Le Chene Hotel - every morning and evening Goldie and I walked to the traffic lights, turmed left and went down to the woods exploring - it eventually leads to beach and cliff path. One morning Goldie caught a rabbit and we had a long discussion and chase - she wanted to keep it to take it back to hotel - I wanted it to run in the woods. Finally she dropped the rabbit and it scampered off, physically unhurt but mentally and emotionally scarred.
Friday 15 May
6am up and walk thro woods.
After breakfast we walked to get No 6 bus at crossroads - Chris driver, met Micky on bus.
Went into Tourist Info Office to use computer to try to work out how to get from Weymouth to Bristol. Rang Radio Jersey spoke to Lisa.
10.30am Sarah Walker rang from Radio Berkshire pre-recorded interview - good.
10.45 we got No 7 bus to Pleinmont - driver Ivor. We planned to walk round point but the sky was glowering at us so Goldie and I went on the beach for a run. Then the sky split open and, whether we wanted it or not, we got a shower with full pressure on. We managed to get back to the bus shelter before we were completely soaked.
Chris pulled up in his bus and we jumped on. Chris gave a running commentary of what we might see as he drove along the coast - I managed to discern the Camel and Lion Rocks he pointed out. I chatted to Mavis and Ron from Kent.
We got off bus in town and we set off to find the Elim Church for a coffee. We found it in Union Street and had a lovely chat with Ministers Malcolm and Sandy.
3.30pm we got the 6N bus to Bray Road to look for Guernsey Press I got off at the wrong end and had a long walk to find it. (NB it is next to Alliance which I have since found is a cut price grocery store)
Inside the press offices everyone was warmly welcoming. I was interviewed by Amy and Jules.
Chris Raynor rang from Radio Jersey to make an appointment for 5.30pm Mon. Sorry Goldie - it's only a short journey!
From the press offices we walked to The Road near the sea to get a bus from Halfway to the Ferry Terminal. Arrived there 5.30pm and booked ferry for Monday - Matt was really kind and helpful.
We walked into town and we were starving. Dix Neuf restaurant said I could sit outside with Goldie and eat. I talked to Karen who has a clothes shop in town. The meal was excellent - lamb shank mash and veg £17
7.15pm we got the No 7 bus - driver Helen with trainee.
back to Le Chene - a walk in the woods and then bed.
Saturday 16 March
Went to St Martins on bus to find dog food and bed and see vet to help Goldie overcome trauma of ferry travel.
Outside M&S met Judy and Sue who offered to look after Goldie whilst I went into shop. When I asked them where Charity Shops were they asked what i wanted and when i said I needed something for dog cage they offered me a dog bed!
Vet could not give me anything for Goldie so suggested milk before ferry trip.
Sue drove me back to Le Chene.
12.25 bus 7 to Town - driver Craig. Met Tom photographer from press - photos in bus station.
13.35 No 3 bus to Varazon Kiosk. Walked along beach up to Mont Saint and Kings Mill (met Nicole and Rick marathon walkers who put donation in box)and so to Saumarez Park. Salvatore in cafe - steak and salad and chips.

Sunday 17 May
Rained heavily all night.
7am went for walk. Sue and Judy came at 8am with dog bed and milk (they have a milk round)
After breakfats we walked to Petit Bot and on to Le Gouffre. A beautiful sunny day with clear views from cliffs over sea. We met John and Margaret from Nottingham. Walked up to Occupation Museum - Dorothy let Goldie sit outside whilst I had a quick look round.
Went to forest Church met minister Linda - invited for coffee - lovely friendly people.
Walked to bus stop - raining. Pam and Kelvin gave us a lift to Longfire (Kelvin will show me walks round island when we come again)
Longfire hotel had roast beef and veg - £7.95. We sat outdied and only half way through the sky ripped open again - so Goldie got the meat and I rammed the vegetables down.
As soon as the rain abated we set off to walk to St peter's Church - the aisle slopes upwards! From there we followed the winding lanes to The Road to get a bus. The rain was driving down. At the road I decided to walk to the bus shelter at The Imperial Hotel. There we were rescued by Steve driving the No 7 bus. We met Lorraine from Wiltshire.
Steve told me where to get off bus to find ATM machine and then it was to the bus station for the 4.15pm No 7 bus, driver Ivor, to Le Chene.
We stripped off and I tried to dry us both and all our wet things - I had to have a dry rucksack and our PCUK T shirts for the trip to Jersey the day after.
The sun came out and we had a walk with Susan and Alison who were staying in the hotel. - they gave a donation of £5
And so to bed.

Co. F, 133rd IND. Infantry
The Erie Record, Apr. 16, 1909
Died: Apr. 10, 1909
FEAR OF FUTURE.
______
Erie Man Took His Life to Escape
Threatened Infirmities.
______
DESPONDENT OVER ILL HEALTH
______
C. D. Smith Believed He Was Becoming
Mentally and Physically Feeble and Plan-
ned Escape In His Own Way.
______
Last Saturday morning there occurred one of the greatest tragedies that has been enacted in Erie for many months. C. D. Smith, one of the respected citizens of the town was found dead on the second floor of his barn. He had taken his own life by cutting his throat with a razor. When he was found at noon his lifeless body was surrounded by a pool of blood and he had probably been dead for two hours or more.
The body was first discovered by the man’s daughter, Mrs. Anna Ashford of Elsmore, who had been visiting here. It was at the noon hour and dinner had been waiting for several minutes. Finally Mrs. Ashford went to the barn in search of her father and was almost overcome by the discovery she made. Her brother C. F. Smith, was in the house and as soon as he learned of his father’s fate rushed to the barn but soon returned only to verify the report that his father was dead. As soon as help could be summoned the body was removed to a building across the alley and the outward traces of the deed removed before the body was taken to the home..
Nothing could have given a greater surprise to the people of Erie. Among his acquaintances there were few who had suspected that Mr. Smith’s mind was suffering from any great burdens. He was attending daily to his duties as local oil inspector, which occupied a considerable amount of his time. He was naturally genial and apparently happy, although recently he had been more quiet and reserved than usual. On several occasions recently the members of the family had noticed that he had been acting strangely and his condition had been the cause of much worry to them, but their fears were never known to the public.
It is quite evident now that Mr. Smith was in a demended condition and that for some time he had been developing a plan to take his own life. About two weeks before his death he had consulted a prominent attorney here who, in his criminal practice had made a study of the different forms of insanity. Mr. Smith asked about all the forms of insanity and seemed particularly interested in the description of the symptoms by which they were known. It is the opinion of the relatives and friends that Mr. Smith felt that a mental feebleness was coming upon him and could not bear the though of losing his mind. His mental unrest was doubtless further increased by a threatened renewal of paralysis from which he suffered about two years ago. Considering these things and other evidences of mental trouble that had been noticed by the family, it is believed that Mr. Smith became deeply despondent and took his life as the only means of escape from a condition of insanity and helplessness.
Saturday morning, Mr. Smith had made his usual trip down town to get his morning mail and on his return stopped at the Alderson Brothers hardware and furniture store where he selected and purchased a new razor. Evidently he had gone from there directly to his own barn where he climbed to the second floor and immediately put the razor to the use for which it was purchased. When the body was discovered the razor was laying under the hand that had directed the stroke and its case was in his coat pocket. The cost had never been removed from the razor handle. The dead man’s throat was deeply cut and the wound extended from one ear to the other. There was a cut across the left wrist also. The theory is that this wrist wound was made first, and Mr. Smith, fearing that death by this process would be too slow resorted to cutting his throat.
Mrs. Smith was so shocked by the news of her husband’s death that for several hours her condition alarmed the other members of the family. She required constant medical attention for some time but is now able to be up again.
Funeral services were conducted at the home Sunday afternoon. Reverend A. S. Gwinn of the Baptist church made a short address and the remainder of the services were in charge of the G. A. R. Post of which he was a member. The remains were taken to the Erie cemetery for burial.
Charles Dallis Smith was born in Putnam county, Indiana, June 19, 1844, and died April 10, 1909, aged 64 years, 10 months and 10 days. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Ferguson April 18, 1867. To this union were born five children, all of whom together with the wife survive him. The sons are Clarence W. Smith of Erie, Walter L. Smith of Coffeyville, and Clyde F. Smith of Erie, and the daughters are Mrs. Nellie S. Garvin of Erie and Mrs. Anna E, Ashford of Elsmore. In 1861 C. D. Smith enlisted in the Union army and served with Company F. 133rd Indiana Volunteer Infantry, until the end of the struggle. He had a brilliant military record and took a great deal of pride in the possession of a letter from President Abraham Lincoln in which reference was made to his military service. After the war he learned the mercantile business and in 1872 engaged in business for himself. In 1871 he was appointed postmaster at Manhattan, Indiana, and held the office until 1884, when he resigned and moved west locating in Erie. He was associated with John R. Garvin in the mercantile business here for a number of years but retired about four years ago.

. To overcome the difficulties of science and math, explanation in classes, innovator Panda has created few thousands of educational, societal and scientific innovations which helps teachers and students of the country and abroad.
Dr. Panda believes that though inventions/innovation has reached under thousands and thousands deep in the sea and high up in the space. It has reached on moon and mars, but unfortunately the sustainable inventions/innovation has not properly gone to the tiny tots and common people.
Dr. Panda is amazing and wizard of innovations and works with a principle the real scientist is he, who sees the things simply and works high.
Dr.Mihir Kumar Panda's work can be explained in short
Sports with Science from Dawn to Dusk
Struggle some life- science in words and action
Triumphs of Science - Science at foot path

To the average physically healthy person, hooking a rug is usually simple and the end result is quick. To one who has little use of his hands, pulling the small pieces of yarn evenly through the tiny squares, it must be an immense task and the canvas stretched out in front of him must seem endless.
After driving a tank for three years in Italy, France and the Netherlands during World War II, Canadian soldier (5th Division, 9th Armoured, British Columbia Dragoons) Clarence Smith contracted polio in 1953 during the polio epidemic while on vacation in Seattle. He was enjoying the warm beach water with his sister, happy to be away from work and relaxing with the family. Neither he nor his sister knew what lay ahead of them, what life had in store for them.
Within two days, each had flu-like symptoms. The doctor made a house call and told him it was not the flu but rather, poliomyelitis and Clarence was sent to hospital where he spent the rest of his life. It attacked his muscles and he became a quadriplegic. He was thirty-two years old with a young wife and two little boys*.
After spending a year in an iron lung, he was then able to breathe on his own but had to sleep in a rocking bed. He could do nothing for himself. Slowly, through physical therapy, he was able to sit up but do little else. His muscles became atrophied.
Twenty years after the onset of the disease... twenty years of physical therapy and determination, this yarn wall hanging, one of his greatest artistic achievements, was accomplished.
* One of these little boys grew up and is my husband Dave, a man very much like his Dad - determined, patient, giving and helpful to all. Clarence was my much loved father-in-law.

This is the back of my left leg. It hurts.
A couple days ago I started to experience slight discomfort in this area. Because my head refuses to physically spin, I wasn't able to determine if there was a visual indication of the problem. This afternoon I asked my friend Gina to take a photo of the area so I could check it out when I got home this evening.
So here I am. At home. Checking out a photo of the back of my leg.
When I got out of bed this morning, this leg was hurtin' pretty good. It was hurtin' far more than previous day. Tonight it hurts more than it did this morning.
Clearly some sort of metastasis is occurring in my leg.
This is where I need your help. What would you do in a situation such as this, besides shave and/or get more sun?
Would you...:
A) - ...quit whining and wait for it to get better on its own?
B) - ...schedule an appointment to see a doctor sometime next week, hoping option "a", above, happens before the scheduled appointment?
C) - ...go to the emergency room now, you idiot?
By the way, I don't recall experiencing any trauma to this leg. Two weeks ago today, however, I did sustain a slight hamstring pull of this leg while playing Ultimate Frisbee. I believed that injury had healed itself sometime late last week.
Click here for a larger view, but I'm not sure why you'd wanna do that.

Ugh, another day on the couch. I think I'm at 50% now physically. I woke up and I could barily get up. My breakfast consisted of pain meds and antibiotics. This blows..well, actually I wish it did, so I could breathe better. Arg. I'm going to stop talking about this crap because its depressing. I'll just give you a percentage of feel better rating each day, until I'm back on my feet.

DORM STORIES: # 291
I was thinking about this the other day about how living in the dorms in college was such an interesting time that I wanted to share a couple of my stories all week long because with the health, nothing spectacular is going down, so enjoy...
#291 SHE DISAPPEARED: My first ever roommate I got the second semester of my freshman year. She was a foreign Asian student, *Sarah, who spoke little English so any dreams I had of becoming lifetime friends with my first ever roommate were dashed when she came into my life. Everything was so difficult to communicate. After a while, I just got tired and would go to my boyfriends dorm or call my best friend so we could hang just so I could avoid her. We eventually developed a system, whereby I would leave her post-it notes and she could translate them and then communicate back in her own time via the notes. The one thing I knew about Sarah was she was a by the books girl. She went to class by a certain time, ate lunch at a certain time, and was an in the bed kind of gal by 10. As far as I knew she was there everyday, and I don't know what she did on weekends because I went off campus...so it was rather strange when I came back from the weekend and she wasn't there. A day passed, and I thought okay, maybe she's staying with a friend or something, but then two days passed. So middle of the week comes up and I'm asleep and I hear a loud pounding on my door at 3am in the morning. I was pissed...I thought it was some sort of prank, but I looked through the peep hole and there was this Asian girl standing there. So I open the door, my eyes all blurry, and she's like, where is Sarah. I'm like WHO ARE YOU? She repeats herself. I'm like, look, I don't know who you are, but she's not here, nor has she been. The girl, literally pushes me aside and looks in the room. I'm like excuse me, what is this about, and again, its 3am might I remind you and this is MY room. The girl says, if you see her, just tell her I stopped by, and tells me her name and leaves. The next day, the dorm leader comes to my room and says, tell your roomate, she may not leave mid semester without a fine. At that point, I was like, wait, hold up, what are you talking about. She then tells me, she's moved out without reason. I'm like, that's news to me, plus her stuff was still mainly there though I'd noticed, her clothes were now gone and her books were missing. The next day her mom whom I'd never met and some other girl comes and they gather up her stuff while I'm standing there in shock, and of course they spoke no English, so it was like, okay, um, tell Sarah best of luck. Weeks pass and I'm like what hell happened here?! Finally, through some strange grapevine, I found out that Sarah had been in an abusive stalker relationship with her boyfriend and she'd moved here to this country to get away from him, but he'd followed and had been showing up in her classes, and calling her cell non-stop, and she got scared and moved off campus to live with a friend (I guess the one that stopped by). She couldn't leave any forwarding info or anything because she obviously didn't want to be found by him, so that was it. My roommate who disappeared into the night...and whom I've never seen or had any contact with since my freshman year...
On a remote island that doesn't encourage tourism, the Kalawao Peninsula is even more isolated (and discouraging of tourism, due to its tragic history).
Kalaupapa National Historic Park has a sad history. Located on the Kalaupapa Peninsula, the park is its own county -- Kalawao County -- and it's the smallest in the U.S. at about 50 square kilometers.
Physically, the island of Molokai is entirely sea cliffs on its north side...except for the Kalawao Peninsula, which juts out about 4 miles into the sea directly north from the central part of the island. It's leaf-shaped.
Isolated from the island by the sea cliffs (which are the tallest in the world at rough 4,000 feet in places, though only 1,700 feet here at Kalaupapa), the peninsula became the ideal place to isolate a section of the population.
Originally, there was a cut through the sea cliffs, but it was closed (by dynamite) to keep the cattle from escaping the peninsula back topside (which is what they call the rest of the island). Kalaupapa Trail still exists -- it's a trail with over 20 switchbacks which descends from topside 1,700 feet above to the peninsula -- which was hikable, but more commonly mules were/are used to go up and down. At the moment of this writing (February 2020), the trail is closed due to a landslide. So, it's even more isolated than normal.
Access by land crossing is currently impossible, and by sea is illegal. No boats are allowed within 1/4 mile of the peninsula. So the only way in and out of Kalaupapa is by plane, and the airport is only the size that 10 seater Cessnas can fly in. (One caveat to boats: there is an annual barge that comes once per year in summer -- July or August -- to restock the peninsula and those who live here for the year.)
Following on the barge, they ship in all of the non-perishables once a year. The perishables -- produce, milk, etc. -- are flown in as needed.
So who lives here? And why? Well...as Europeans discovered these islands, they brought every kind of illness possible to the natives, to which they had no immunity. (I think I heard someone say the native population dwindled to 50,000 at one point, mainly from being ravaged by disease.)
Among those diseases was leprosy (Hansen's Disease). The king of Hawai'i, for fear of the entire state contracting leprosy, decided to turn this peninsula into a leper colony and isolating it completely. It was almost a naturally perfect place for this, as I outlined above.
The peninsula was known to natives for hundreds (maybe thousands of years) before, though, and there were native residents -- fishermen -- who lived here.
When it became a leper colony in 1866, the natives lived on the west side of the peninsula (in Kalaupapa) while the lepers were on the eastern side (in now-abandoned Kalawao).
Due to adverse weather and lack of immunity, the lepers were dying at the rate of five a day (and are buried in a mass unmarked grave directly east of St. Philomena Church).
They almost immediately went west, displacing the original natives from Kalaupapa, where they died around the rate of one a day.
I could honestly write a lot more about their history, but will skip to the present. Hansen's Disease was finally cured in the 1940s. Now, less than 5% of humanity is susceptible to leprosy, and it's easily cured/controlled with antibiotics.
The island continued to be isolated by law until 1969. It is its own separate county simply because the residents had entirely different needs than the rest of the population, and needed representation.
At present, there are only five (or nine) former patients, ranging in age from 79-96. As they're advanced in age, they worry about what will happen to this place when they pass. The consensus seems to be that they want it to remain as it is. Maintained, but undeveloped.
Currently, it's illegal to visit Kalaupapa on your own. You can only visit by invitation (permit), which is available through one of two or three tour companies -- owned by the former patients. No overnight visits are allowed to outsiders. No children 16 or under are allowed. These are the wishes of the residents.
If you've read this far and are interested in learning more, feel free to ask me anything and I'll answer or find an answer.
From the history of our parish
1.10.2008
Twenty-eighth October 1888 was for our ancestors, then living in the suburbs of Bratislava called New Town, solemn day, the day of consecration new temple. But this day is solemn and important for us and will be important also for future generations. Our grandfathers built and because church leaders dedicated the temple on that day not only for themselves and for their children, but for all future generations. Those who build Blumentál physically, but spiritually primarily through your prayers, we left a wonderful legacy: church dedicated to the Assumption, the church, which has one hundred and twenty years invites believers can confidently say that the whole city that it glorified God, bring the sacrifice of Christ, purify your soul and implore the gifts of the Spirit for themselves and for their loved ones.
Celebration of consecration
The parish priest Jozef Poeck completed his work, who has devoted many years of his life, as we wrote about in previous figures. For believers Bratislava Nové Mesto parish is 118 years after its establishment saw to it that the faithful have a decent temple, whose tall slender tower towered over the entire eastern part of the city. Blumental Church was until recent times the only dominating this site. As he writes in his book Pozdech pastor, consecration of a new church in Bratislava expected not only residents of suburban New City but the entire Bratislava. Dedication of the temple designated day for 28 October on the feast of St. Simon and Jude, which that year fell on the October last Sunday.
Building a new church was of great interest of the Cardinal John Simor and the highest church dignitary of the Archdiocese of Esztergom, to which at that time belonged Bratislava. He himself a considerable amount contributed to its construction and it is no wonder that himself this new tabernacle of God sanctified .
Bratislavans prepared Cardinal decent adoption. Cardinal-Primate arrived in Bratislava on 27 October At the main station hailed him a great multitude of believers who lined the streets along which he passed to the Primate's Palace. There he has always stayed when visiting Bratislava (the Town palace bought in 1903 for their needs), and even there that day to receive the representatives of the city, various offices, army officials, townspeople and professional groups. The whole city was decorated and lit.
Newly built temple consecration ceremonies began 28 morning at nine. Ceremony was attended by about 30,000 believers (Bratislava at that time had about 70 000 inhabitants). We can imagine where it is today around our church could gather such a large crowd? At that time, however, surrounding the church was not built like today. 9.00 h in the morning on day dedication Blumentálu rozozvučali the bells of all the churches in Bratislava and the Cardinal-Primate, accompanied by church officials came to the new temple. Assisted prelates Cardinal Dr. Francis Horecký and Charles Rimel, Bratislava canons. Accompanied were prelate Dr. Jozef Danko, honest deacons Anton Leek and Joseph Urge, canon Graeff, and other dignitaries, priests and religious. Ceremony was also attended by Dr. Julius Machovič, notary stool Archbishop of Esztergom and the archbishop's office director Dr. John Black, who later became Archbishop of Esztergom. Bishop became a member of another parade Dr. Rimley. Ceremony was attended by prominent city officials, representatives of various agencies and states, armies, and large numbers townspeople simple people of God.
The ceremonies began before the temple gate, then svätiteľ Cardinal Simor escorted entered the church, where the ceremonies continued sanctification anointing altars and the temple walls. To save the remains of the altar stone martyr Adalbert and Gerhard. First Mass in our church served Baltizár bishop and the first sermon delivered svätiteľ Cardinal Simor. The church preached three preachers: Jesuit P. Emil Volbert German, and two Franciscans, one Slovak and one Hungarian. The ceremonies lasted until one o'clock in the afternoon. After the solemn procession returned to the Primate's Palace, where Cardinal Simor for invited guests was given a formal dinner. It goes without saying that it is attended by a priest Poeck, without whose selfless work would not stand this temple.
In connection with the consecration of Blumentálu mentions the event, which was to become the pastor Poeck fatal. On the way to the Primate's Palace was stampeded horses pulled the carriage in which he sat, and as pastor writes Pozdech only by God's providence remained alive.
Celebrations dedication of the temple after years
Believers of this site for years to commemorate the big day solemn consecration of the temple worship, after which they were folk festivities. The annual celebration of the dedication of the temple waving their spiritual and secular. The spiritual part was solemn character, Mass serve senior dignitaries and preachers coming festive. Worship enriched various choirs and ensembles; secular part called. Forgive was associated with folk festivals and party. That day came not only parishioners, but people from all over the city from the nearer and wider surroundings. At that time, around the church still extremely suitable for such celebrations. Open space provide plenty of room for a variety of stalls, attractions, festivals roundabouts... spestrovala brass band from Záhorska Bystrica.
Pozdech pastor remembers that when he wrote his memories, older parishioners at these festivities still remember, as young as yourself to participate in them. Such spectacular folk festivals disappeared after the First World War.
Great was the celebration of consecration Blumentálu in the twenty-fifth anniversary. Although the history of the temple twenty-five years is not much, because the church is built on centuries, writes pastor Pozdech: every believer adhesions with its parish church, where baptism was received into the bosom of the Church, there is divested of their sins, receive the Savior, there is a double promises connects life inextricably to a man with a woman and introduces a new family, there priest begs for mercy for those who embarked on the path of eternity...
Spiritual program began a day before the big feast solemn litanies. In the anniversary Mass celebrated by the parish priest Evariast Czaykowski and preached prelate A. Gaibl. Ceremony was attended by celebrities Bratislava, led by mayor.
In 45 Blumentálu anniversary of the dedication of the restored organ.
In December r. Opened in 1941 Blumentálska fare lecture hall. On that occasion was solemn litany in our church Nuncio Msgr. Dr. Joseph Burzio, who repeatedly took part in the celebrations in Blumentáli. In Slovakia, had to r., 1945. Farewell to Mons. Burzio held on Blumentálska fare.
On the 60th year anniversaries were scheduled to work on the renovated church interior, upgraded lighting should be introduced electric heating, had to return the original painting, restore the altars, and an altar of Our Lady of Lourdes. Estimated costs were two to two and a half million dollars. A Committee made the collections and 4 April 1948 launched the work. On how to fix Blumentálu continued, we have news.
The celebration of the centennial anniversary of the consecration and stodesiateho Blumentálu would know what to say - then- pastor VDP. John Frog and long-time parish administrator VDP. Stephen Herényi. Written reports we have .

Physically resembling the wild boar, to which it is remarkably closely related, the Sicilian Black Swine of Sicily's Nebrodi Mountains enjoys the oak forests of what is considered by many to be the island's most scenic region. Known locally as the "suino nero dei Nebrodi," it has a prominent ridge of spinal bristles running from its large head to about midway along its back and stands about 70 centimetres (27 inches) high. Suids, or suidae (pigs and boars), form the genus sus.The very existence of the breed is an arcane fact of agricultural life in northeastern Sicily, the only part of the island which still has expansive forests. The swine are allowed to graze and forage over wide areas, including woods, and this diet influences the meat's flavour. It also means that the pigs are sometimes mistaken for wild boar, few of which exist in Sicily today.
Swathes of forest, unbounded views of astounding beauty, gentle-giant mountains, pure unpolluted air, limpid lakes, age-old villages, deep fertile valleys, undisturbed peace and quiet.....In 1993 the Nebrodi National Park was instituted and, with a surface area of just over 85,000 hectares, it is the largest in Sicily. The variety of fauna is vast and alongside the more common animals such as wild cats, foxes, porcupines and hares there are even a couple of indigenous species: the San Fratello horse and the Nebrodian black pig. The meat of this latter is a highly prized ingredient in the area’s cuisine and it is also used for making hams and salamis. The famous salame di Sant’Angelo di Brodo is one purchase you might like to make. Flora is equally varied. On the lower slopes myrtle, lentisk, cork trees and holm oaks dominate, while higher up oak woods and beech forests cover the peaks. The highest mountain, at 1847 meters, is Monte Soro. The views from here are simply breath-taking: Mount Etna with its plume of smoke to the south-east, the Aeolian Islands emerge from the Tyrrhenian to the north and the Madonie Mountains continue the Sicilian Apennines to the west. While the peaks in the Nebrodi Park are not as high as those of its neighbours, the presence of several wonderful lakes adds a certain variety to the landscape. Of these, Lago Biviere and Lago Ancipa are well worth a visit, the latter also thanks to its stunning views of Mount Etna framed in a natural paradise. Good walking and mountain-biking opportunities abound. Many of the towns originated with the arrival of Byzantine Greeks in the 4th and 5th Centuries AD and remains of Byzantine monasteries and churches can be found dotted around the area. Some of the most important centres are Mistretta, Troina and Nicosia, though many smaller villages, such as San Marco d’Annunzio, San Salvatore di Fitalia, Floresta and San Fratello are worth visiting. This last, in particular, is home to the lovely Convento di San Francesco, complete with cloisters, and a Norman church dating back to the 11th Century. To get the most out of the Nebrodi one has to explore, follow one’s nose and take chances. An unassuming-looking path might lead to a beautiful wood or lake, a seemingly normal village might hide a fantastic church or a wonderful trattoria and the humblest of food shops might sell mouth-watering local delicacies.

Spiritual/physical definition;
Entree…
Action of entering; entrance, moving through, accessing, going within, going without, physically or spiritually, individually, by groups, recording creative expression through writing, painting, poetry, music, film or any other form of expression.
When the front door to the Roundhouse prison is closed and locked it shuts the entire world out from the humans locked away inside.
Other than the sky above the open court yard and the sounds of the ocean waves continuously lapping the white sandy shore only meters below this prison; perched on top of a lime-stone outcrop the humans are completely cut off from their culture, family and basic human rights.
This image is of the front locked doors of the Fremantle Roundhouse prison superimposed with an image of sunbeams, white clouds and a blue sky.
The sunbeams symbolize, for me the promise of increasing light. Sunbeams around sunset promise us the sun will be returning even if you have to spend some time in darkness. Sunbeams at dawn herald in that promise from the long dark night that the light has returned as promised and as the day continues there will be even more light. Light is a symbol of hope, clarity, truth, honesty, revelation, manifestation, life and love.
Clouds are a symbol of moisture and the potential of life giving force held within water. And water is a symbol of purity, cleansing powers, spirit, carries energy, message holder, healing forces, magic and wonder.
The clear blue sky is a symbol of freshness, breath; air to fill the lungs, lightness, warmth and heaven on earth.
This image brings all these forces together in a unified attempt to heal the wrongs inflicted on this sacred environment and the humans; both from the Indigenous communities and those Westerners who found themselves far too away from distant homelands to defend themselves or others from oppressive forces.
The symbol of a door or gate is to open up to new pathways, new corridors, new avenues to new experience, new journeys, new cycles, and new maturing organic growth opportunities.
The symbol of a door or gate also symbolises the closing off of old pathways, old corridors, old avenues to old experience, old journeys, old cycles, and old maturing organic growth opportunities.
To then place a lock onto that door or gate means it is closed forever with no opportunity of physical return.
As a small child has to pass through the door or gate of adolescents to emerge out the other side as a young youth painfully having to let go of their innocence and wonderment's of childhood.
The child stage door or gate now locked forces the next stage of maturity to be embraced. The maturing forces imposed onto humanity are learned slowly and with new wonders and new opportunities being rolled out in front of them in each new cycle, each new pathway, each new corridor, each new avenue to each new experience, each new journey, slowly leads us all to new maturing organic growth opportunities
The lock only prevents the movement of the physical self from returning to the old childhood ways but the memory, heart, spirit is as free as it ever was to return, to heal, to remember, to retrieve, to understand, to comprehend and revisit all childhood stories filed away in the realm of memory.
When the heart and spirit go visiting their childhood, or their ancestral memories, they need to grieve, shake off any bad feelings or inflated egos. The need to drop fears still trapped back there embedded in each story stored as trauma, frozen back in time. Once we accomplished these heroic deeds, supporting each other our spirit and soul united with our physical self are free to pass into a healthy maturing youth stage heading off towards adulthood.
To enter into this new cycle of maturity the entire human race is presently being called to step up, to leave all unfinished baggage behind. All desires, regrets, resentments, judgements, prejudices, fears, hates, and fantasies must be let go of, dropped grieved and shaken off.
The wrongs inflicted on us and our ancestors stored within our stories, held within our memories were never meant to be a life sentence for us or our past or future ancestors.
Added to each image in this album are their inspired stories to this emerging family HISHERTREE.
Each image has a word title that would have been spelt in English with "try" at the end like ancestry, carpentry, or infantry. I have added "tree" to replace the "try" and then taken their dictionary meanings that are only ever describing the outside physical world and married some spiritual elements.
For me this is adding the culture of the spirit light back into the English language.
The human beings body lives in the outside world of the physical but their inner self lives in the realm of spirit.

"The Event
On September 11, 2001, America suffered an assault on its home soil that resulted in almost 3,000 dead and countless others physically and emotionally wounded. The victims were nationals of more than 70 countries, making this tragedy global in impact. Dedicated on this, the 11 Day of September, 2011 on the 10th Anniversary of September 11, this memorial is a lasting tribute to the heroes who perished.
Lest we forget.
Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes and the Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders"
"The Sculpture
The Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City are an icon of the events of September 11, 2001, and a constant reminder of the human loss there, at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. This monument displays a segment of a steel girder salvaged from the World Trade Center site in the aftermath of the attack. The steel cable was part of a World Trade Center elevator and was acquired only a few months before tragedy struck. They are displayed here in a simple setting to keep fresh in our memories the stark reality of September 11th and to encourage reflection on the events of that day and their enduring consequences."
"The Memorial evokes the physical and emotional impacts of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, while also asserting our collective strength to overcome the fear and loss they engendered.
The longitudinal axis of the Memorial is oriented north-to-south, a bearing of 180 degrees, the heading of the first plane that slammed into the World Trade Center. Four aluminum benches, representing each of the four hijacked planes, sit at the northern end of the Memorial, facing a monumental, unfinished concrete wall. Two flanking walls sweep inward and upward, suggesting the movement of an airplane, terminating abruptly at the concrete wall. The wall is concave—as if it has been forced inward—yet is unbroken. This wall serves as a backdrop for a composition comprised of a 10 foot- long fragment of a massive steel beam from the World Trade Center and 13 steel cables that extend outward from the wall to grasp the beam. The cables represent the 13 municipalities of Mercer County. Steel cable has special prominence in Mercer County’s industrial heritage, since wire rope (cable) was invented and manufactured by the John A. Roebling & Sons Company of Trenton and utilized in many important bridge projects across the Country. The Memorial represents the collective strength and resiliency of the people of Mercer County to endure the terror attacks, with the cables set in dynamic tension, lifting the beam, echoing the continuing process of healing and recovery. Bronze lettering on the wall reinforces the message of the Memorial through the words of Booker T. Washington:
“There are two ways of exerting one’s strength:
one is pushing down, the other is pulling up.”
These pictures were taken on 9/11/11 - six hours before the dedication ceremony.
The Mercer County September 11 Memorial is located in the Marina section of Mercer County Park in West Windsor, New Jersey - Google Map -

Inwood is the northernmost neighborhood in the New York City. It is physically bounded by the Harlem River to the north and east, and the Hudson River to the west. It extends southward to Fort Tryon Park and alternatively Dyckman Street or Fairview Avenue further south, depending on the source. Notably, while Inwood is the northernmost neighborhood on the island of Manhattan, it is not the northernmost neighborhood of the entire borough of Manhattan. That distinction is held by Marble Hill, a Manhattan neighborhood situated just north of Inwood, on what is properly the North American mainland bordering the Bronx.
On May 24, 1626, Peter Minuit, the director general of the Dutch colony of New Netherland, bought the island from the Lenape Indians for 60 Dutch guilders and, the story goes, some trinkets. On the southern tip of the island Minuit founded New Amsterdam . A plaque marking what is believed to be the spot of the sale is in Inwood Hill Park, the only natural forest left in Manhattan.
Inwood was a very rural section of Manhattan well into the early 20th century. Once the IRT subway reached Inwood in 1906, speculative developers constructed numerous apartment buildings on the east side of Broadway. Construction continued into the 1930s, when the IND subway reached Dyckman and 207th Street along Broadway and the large estates west of Broadway (Seaman, Dyckman, Isham, etc.) were sold off and developed. Many of Inwood's impressive Art Deco apartment buildings were constructed during this period.
The residents of Inwood were substantially of Irish and Jewish descent for much of the 20th century. The neighborhood exhibited a strong Irish identity with many Irish shops, pubs, and even a Gaelic football field in Inwood Hill Park, while Jewish life was centered east of Broadway. However, in the 1960s-1980s, many Irish and Jewish residents moved out of Inwood to the outer boroughs and suburbs in a pattern consistent with overall trends in the city at that time. During the same period that the Irish and Jewish were leaving Inwood, there was a dramatic rise in the number of immigrants from the Dominican Republic to the area.
Today, Inwood has a very predominantly Dominican population in the majority of the neighborhood, particularly in the areas east of Broadway. A few elderly Irish remain in the blocks near the Church of the Good Shepherd at Isham Street, though even its Mass services are now offered in Spanish nearly as often as in English. The Jewish population is greatly diminished and the synagogues and hospital that once served it have been repurposed or torn down. Other than the aforementioned historically dominant groups, the remaining population of Inwood is diverse, similar in makeup to the rest of New York City.
Notable current and former residents of Inwood include: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (former NBA basketball star), Jim Carroll (author of The Basketball Diaries), Wynn Handman (Artistic Director of The American Place Theatre), Bess Houdini (wife of magician and stunt performer Harry Houdini), Lionel Mapleson (violinist and librarian of the Metropolitan Opera House for nearly 50 years. Creator of the Mapleson Cylinders, one of the earliest recordings of live classical music), Lin-Manuel Miranda (actor and writer of the Broadway musical In the Heights), Henry Stern (longtime former Commissioner of the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation), Isidor Straus (owner of Macy's department store), and Will McIntosh (Winner of the 2010 Hugo Award for Best Short Story).
Apart from Giving and Receiving, Christmas is all about being with the people you love.
Some people can't have that.
Not physically, at least.
Those who do, can take it for granted. And some don't know how much they mean to them until it's too late.
For these people who can't be with their loved ones physically, a simple phone call, video chat or instant messaging session can be the greatest Gift.
Give some love today. :) Christmas or not.
It was still a blistering hot evening and I was physically wilting when I approached St. Catherine's Church at Sacombe, near Little Munden in Herts. The church was locked (it was late) but a recent sign suggests it is open day times.
www.flickr.com/photos/barryslemmings/sets/72157629894853790/ to see the full set.
Wikipedia says about Sacombe:
"There appears to have been a church in the parish in 1086, which may have been dedicated to St Mary. The present Anglican Church of St Catherine is largely 14th Century, but was restored in 1855/56. The building is faced with knapped flint and has a four-stage tower. It is a Grade II* listed building. The parish of Sacombe is the smallest in the Diocese of St Albans, and forms part of the benefice of Standon and The Mundens with Sacombe, with worship shared between St Catherine's and churches at Little Munden and Standon."
***
From British History Online:
"The church of St Catherine stands on high ground in the middle of the parish. The walls are faced with flint and the roofs are tiled. The church consists of a chancel, nave, north vestry and south tower. The original plan of the 14th-century church was the same as that of the present building, and the chancel and nave are of that date. The tower was rebuilt in 1855–6, and the north vestry was added at the same time, when the whole church was restored, faced with flint and re-roofed. A great part of the stonework of this church was brought from the demolished church of Thundridge.
All the doors and windows of the chancel and nave are modern. They have two-centred heads, the east and west windows being of three and the north and south windows of two lights with 'decorated' tracery. The responds of the chancel arch are of the 14th century with wave mouldings on both sides. The sub-arches are also original. In the chancel is a piscina with a modern recess, with a cinquefoiled ogee head and a sexfoiled bowl, probably of the 14th century".

Z: *looks at Danny* "Candy's safe. Emotionally shattered, but physically she's fine."
Danny: "Z, I realize this is entirely my fault, but you know I never intended any of this to happen, right?"
Z: "What does it matter what you intended, Danny? Doesn't change a damn thing."
Danny: *rubs hand over chest* "Z, I--"
Z: "If you think I'm going to be more sympathetic than Em, you're wrong. Just because I'm not yelling, doesn't mean I'm not pissed to hell and back."
Danny: "Just tell me if she's with Everhart."
Z: *inscrutable look* "I should leave that question unanswered. You've earned all the suffering not knowing would bring."
Lukas (imploringly): "Z."
Z: "I can't tell you where she is, okay! I promised Candy. She's not angry so much as hurt. She got blindsided, and it was *runs fingers through hair agitatedly* really, really rough. No one likes being the last to know."
Yuri (earnestly): "What about Kumi and me? Would she speak with us?"
Z: "No. Not now anyway. She just needs some time. If you really care about her, you'll give it to her."
Danny (softly): "I'm askin' you as a friend, Z. What if this was Emma? What if you didn't know where she was?"
**Tense Silence**
Z: *exhales loudly* "They say you can't go home again, but...that's not necessarily true."
Lukas & Danny: *exchange glances*
Danny: "Okay. Thanks."
Z: *terse nod*

Gruene Hall, built in 1878, is Texas’ oldest continually operating and most famous dance hall. By design, not much has physically changed since the Hall was first built. The 6,000 square foot dance hall with a high pitched tin roof still has the original layout with side flaps for open air dancing, a bar in the front, a small lighted stage in the back and a huge outdoor garden. Advertisement signs from the 1930s and 40s still hang in the old hall and around the stage.
In the 1800s, Gruene Hall held weekly dances and played host to everything from traveling salesmen to high school graduations to badger fights. Today, the Hall has continued to be a center for the Gruene and Central Texas social and entertainment scene, and the activities are just as varied. In any given week, locals hold court in the front bar after work talking over their day’s activities, a friend’s passing, the weather or the state of the economy. Possibly at the same time, the filming of a movie or commercial or preparation for a festival, fundraiser or a major corporation’s private party may be taking place in the main hall or beer garden.
Under the current ownership, Gruene Hall has become internationally recognized as a destination tourist attraction and major music venue for up-and-coming as well as established artists. Since 1975, the Hall has played host to hundreds of celebrities whose pictures adorn the walls. The owner’s focus on booking singer-songwriters and artists who play original material has provided a fertile proving ground for many former “new talents” such as George Strait, Hal Ketchum, and Lyle Lovett.
Gruene Hall has also become a place where working songwriters, such as John Hiatt or Rodney Crowell, Kevin Welch or Jim Lauderdale, can try out new material or just take a breather between tour dates; where music icons such as Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bo Diddley, Merle Haggard or Kris Kristofferson can play in a more intimate venue; where former “up and comers” such as Garth Brooks, Chris Isaak or the Dixie Chicks can extend their tour; and where big names such as Willie Nelson and Aaron Neville have chosen to perform.
Through the years, the big winners have always been Gruene Hall’s patrons. A person watching a show never knows if the artist they see at the Hall today will be a star tomorrow, but they can know that the music they hear will always be top notch.

In this beginner’s guide for keeping your dog healthy, read about dog ownership for newbies, how to prepare your home to be dog ready and dog safe and get top tips for keeping your furry companion physically and mentally healthy.

How do I prepare my home?
What tips do I need to keep my dog healthy?
Owning a dog is a wonderful and rewarding experience. Few things can beat the feeling of arriving home to an excited tail-wagging furry companion, and owning a dog is beneficial to people of any age and background. And while a dog will definitely inundate you with joy and love, owning one does come with numerous responsibilities and even a couple of challenges to boot.
For new pet parents like yourself who might still be in the honeymoon phase of dog ownership, you will quickly realise that there’s quite a bit more that goes into keeping your furry companion in good health than you might have figured. That’s because your new four-legged companion will need to be provided with nutrition, care, love and entertainment for the rest of its life.
Although there’s quite a bit of work to be done to keep your mutt healthy and happy, you’ll be glad to discover that the potential drawbacks will be dwarfed by the benefits once you get into it.
First Things First – Preparing Your Home
If you’re planning on getting a dog or have just adopted one, getting your home ready for your new housemate is the first thing you need to do if you haven’t already. You will need to dog-proof your home to ensure your dog does not suffer any harm or cause any damage. You should:
Cover and secure electrical cables around the home.
Keep your socks, shoes and anything else that dogs can chew on in closets and cupboards.
Gather and store any potentially harmful chemicals in cupboards where your pet cannot access them.
Secure your trash by keeping it in lidded cans to keep your pet from scavenging through it.
Purchase the necessary dog supplies including food, food and drink bowls, collar, leash, doggy bed, dog crate, safe toys, identification tags and disposable doggy waste bags.
Additionally, if your dog will be living with you and your family, you will need to establish some responsibilities as well as a couple of house rules like which rooms the dog cannot go into, whether they can climb on furniture, and who’s responsible for walking the dog. Brief your family to ensure everybody is on the same page regarding their roles and the rules.
Top Tips For Keeping Your Dog Healthy
Now that your home is ready and everyone concerned knows and understand their role with the dog, we can get to the nitty-gritty of keeping your pooch healthy and happy. Here are a few crucial tips to help you keep your dog healthy as you begin your dog ownership journey.
Monitor your dog’s health from the start. Like humans, dogs also need doctors – or veterinarians in this case. Do some research online or ask for recommendations from friends to find a good vet in your area to help out with your dog’s medical issues. Ideally, you should research and find a good vet even before your new pet arrives home; if you haven’t yet, you need to do it immediately. One of the first things you need to do for your new furry companion is taking them to the vet for their initial visit. This is especially important for puppies who might not have had any veterinary care before.
Your vet will check your dog for any disease symptoms – including checking for parasites such as worms – and administer any vaccines required to keep your dog from catching common canine diseases. If you wish, you could also have your dog implanted with an identification chip and desexed for breeding control while at the vet’s office.
Provide your dog with proper nutrition. Dogs, just like people, need to be kept on a nutritious diet to maintain good health. While dogs can feed on just about anything – including human food – it’s recommended that you invest in high-quality commercial dog food as it’s developed to suit their systems and provide all the nutrition they require to stay healthy.Consult your veterinarian on the type of food you should feed your dog as well as the number of meals you should provide them with. Usually, a mature dog will require to be fed twice per day. The number of meals required will increase up to six for puppies that have smaller digestive systems and require more energy for growth.
Get your dog into a feeding routine as this will also help you with house training for your furry friend – dogs usually need to go to the bathroom about half an hour after they eat. Avoid human food as much as possible as this can cause health or weight problems with your pet.
But food is not the only thing dogs need to survive. Make sure your mutt is properly hydrated by giving it adequate water. Ensure your dog has got access to water at all times so that they can drink when they feel thirsty.
Keep the pests away. Because of its fur, your dog is a magnet for pests; the most common ones being ticks and fleas. These pests, if not prevented, will affect both your pet and your family – so it’s best to keep them at bay.You can keep your dog free of pests by cleaning its coat regularly, preferably with a shampoo that repels pests such as anti-flea shampoo. Most dogs will only require to be bathed at least once every month, but this will depend on your dog’s breed and activities. Inspect your dog’s coat for pests, especially ticks, which you should remove carefully so as not to cause your pet any harm.
Additionally, you should keep your dog’s fur trimmed if it’s a hairy breed. All dogs should have their fur brushed regularly to keep it untangled and debris free. Also, make sure to trim your dog’s nails as these could irritate its paws if left unattended. Be careful not to cut the nail’s inner part (called the quick) as it is alive and could irritate your pooch.
Help your dog keep fit through exercise. Your furry friend, just like yourself, needs to keep fit through exercise for optimum health. The amount of exercise required by your dog will depend on its breed, with some requiring more exercise to burn energy than others.Your dog requires to have at least one long walk each day or two small ones. This is especially important if your home does not have an enclosed yard where you can release the dog and let it run around freely. Games such as fetch can also be used while you are walking your dog to make the exercise routine a bit more intense for your dog.
Socialise and play with your dog. Dogs are pretty smart creatures which makes maintaining their mental health all the more important. Provide your dog with mental stimulation by playing with it and socialising it with other humans as well as other dogs. Introduce your companion to many different people, dogs, sounds, sights and smells to ensure they’re mentally well adjusted.Let your dog be a dog by allowing it to play and express behaviours normally associated with that particular type of breed. If your scent hound loves following scents, let it sniff away once in a while! You could even make a game out of it.
You can also keep your dog stimulated and entertained by providing training. Use a reward-based training for about 10-20 minutes twice a day depending on your dog’s concentration span. This not only prevents boredom but also helps you bond with your pet friend.
Finally, remember to always treat your new pet companion with love and respect and exercise patience especially in the initial days of your relationship. Sometimes it takes a while for dogs to adjust to a new environment. Otherwise, enjoy your new pet!

The Golden Ratio in Dr. Elliot McGucken's Fine Art Ballet Photography!
facebook.com/goldennumberratio
Dr. E's: Golden Number Ratio Principle--Why the Fibonacci Numbers Exalt Beauty: The golden ratio exalts beauty because the number is a characteristic of the mathematically and physically most efficient manners of growth and distribution, on both evolutionary and purely physical levels. The golden ratio ensures that the proportions and structure of that which came before provide the proportions and structure of that which comes after, thusly providing symmetry over not only space but time, and exalting life’s foundational dynamic symmetry. Robust, ordered, symmetric growth is naturally associated with health and beauty, and thus we evolved to perceive the golden ratio harmonies as inherently beautiful, as we saw and felt their presence in all vital growth and life—in the salient features and proportions of humans and nature alike, from the distribution of our facial features and bones to the arrangements of petals, leaves, and sunflowers seeds. As ratios between Fibonacci Numbers offer the closest whole-number approximations to the golden ratio, and as seeds, cells, leaves, bones, and other physical entities appear in whole numbers, the Fibonacci Numbers oft appear in the arrangement of nature’s discrete elements as “growth’s numbers.” From the dawn of time, humanity sought to salute their gods in art and temples exalting the same proportion by which they and all their vital sustenance, as well as all the flowers and nature’s epic beauty, had been created—the golden ratio.

I'm currently updating a translation with the Greek names for the gods and goddesses--will publish soon! :)
"RAGE--Sing, O goddess, the anger of Achilles son of Peleus, that brought countless ills upon the Achaeans. Many a brave soul did it send hurrying down to Hades, and many a hero did it yield a prey to dogs and vultures, for so were the counsels of Zeus fulfilled from the day on which the son of Atreus, king of men, and great Achilles, first fell out with one another. " --Homer's Iliad capturing the rage of the 45EPIC landscapes and seascapes! :)

James Renforth (7 April 1842 – 23 August 1871) was an English Tyneside professional oarsman. He became the World Sculling Champion in 1868 and was one of three great Tyneside oarsmen, the other two being Harry Clasper and Robert Chambers.
Early history
He was born to James and Jane Renforth in New Pandon Street in the Manors district of Newcastle upon Tyne. The year after his birth, his family moved to Rabbit Banks in the Pipewellgate area of Gateshead.
His father was an anchorsmith and the young James became employed as a smith's striker at the age of about 11. The work involved swinging a heavy hammer to strike pieces hot metal of positioned by the smith. The job was physically demanding, but developed his upper body muscles and his stamina, something that served him well in his later career.
There is some doubt over the next stage in his career. There are claims that he joined the army at the age of 21 and travelled abroad. However, other claims state that there is evidence that he remained on Tyneside.
In 1861, he married Mary Ann Bell in Newcastle. In 1862, Mary gave birth to a daughter, Margaret, Jane. They were living at Dean Court, Newcastle. In 1863, Margaret, Jane died of bronchitis. That same year, a second daughter, Ann Elizabeth, was born. The family were living at Tuthill Stairs, Newcastle.
In 1866, Renforth was employed on the demolition of the old Tyne Bridge, ferrying men and materials back and forth. This may have first given him the idea to take up competitive rowing as a means to make more money and help support his wife and child.
In 1868, a third daughter, called Margaret Jane was born; the child died later that year. The family were now living at Church Street, Gateshead.
Sculling career
Renforth made his debut in 1866, in a sculling race and won easily. He won a succession of other sculling races and began to have difficulty in finding opponents who would take him on. He therefore entered several local regattas, which paid smaller prize money. His career took a marked upward turn when he entered for a sculling race at the Thames Regatta in 1868. Renforth won the race, beating Harry Kelley amongst others and received a £90 prize. Tyne crews also won the fours and pairs at the same regatta.
Renforth's victory at the Thames Regatta had catapulted him into prominence as a sculler. Kelley was the current World Sculling Champion and Renforth was the obvious contender, so a match was arranged between the two men. The race was to be over the Putney to Mortlake on the Thames and was to be rowed in November 1868. Renforth trained hard for the race and, in the event, won it easily, by four lengths. He became the new World Champion, a title he held until his death in 1871. See also English Sculling Championship.
Later career
In 1869, Renforth became the landlord of the Belted Will Inn on Scotswood Road, Newcastle, a career move that both Clasper and Chambers had made before him. After six months, in 1870, he moved on, to take over the Sir Charles Napier Inn, Queen Street, Newcastle.
In July 1870, Clasper died and Renforth was a pall-bearer at his funeral.
Renforth had begun to race in pairs and fours, perhaps because of the difficulty of finding opponents as a sculler. He became stroke of the Tyne Champion Four and, with this crew, defeated a London crew on both the Thames and the Tyne in November 1869. As when he was sculling, Renforth began to have difficulty in finding opponents who would race against him.
Racing in Canada
A challenge was received from Canada to race a crew of four fishermen from Saint John, New Brunswick. This crew had already competed successfully at the Paris Regatta and were known locally and internationally as the "Paris Crew". The challenge was accepted and Renforth's crew travelled to Canada in August 1870. The race was held at Lachine, near Montreal, Quebec, in September, and the Tyne crew won easily. Due to the high level of betting, the Tyne crewmembers made rather a financial killing. They received an enthusiastic reception on their return home.
However, during the preparations for the race there had been a difference of opinion that led to a split within the crew upon their return. Two boats had been taken and whilst Renforth favoured one, the bowman and coach, James Taylor, favoured the other. Renforth had prevailed, but this led to bitterness and so the crew split up, leaving Renforth crewless.
Final race
Renforth promptly formed a new crew, which included his old sculling rival Kelley. In 1871, he accepted another challenge from the Canadians to race in Canada, and the crew prepared to travel to Saint John, New Brunswick. The race was to take place over six miles on the Kennebecasis River. It was rowed on 23 August starting at seven in the morning.
The Saint John crew were first away from the start but were soon half a length down. They started to come back at the English crew and at that point it was noticed that something was wrong with Renforth's rowing. He was swaying from side to side and not producing any effort. He finally collapsed into the lap of the rower behind him. The other crewmembers brought the boat ashore, where he was attended by two doctors but was pronounced dead. His last words were reputed to be, "What will they say in England".
A post-mortem found nothing unusual, but rumours persisted of poison. The most likely cause of his death is heart failure, perhaps brought on by an epileptic seizure. He had been known to collapse with a seizure after a race in the past.
An account of his final race and subsequent death was published in the Newcastle Daily Chronicle on 12 July 1871:
"The Tyne crew won the toss for choice of sides, and took the inside berth. As previously agreed on, Mr. William Oldham acted as umpire for the English crew, and Mr. James Stackhouse filled the same office for the St. John crew. The Honourable Thomas R. Jones (stakeholder) was referee. Everything was in readiness, both crews dashed their oars into the water at the same moment, and, amidst the hushed suspense of the crowd, started on their journey, without either side having obtained the least advantage. At the third stroke the Tyne crew showed three feet ahead, and as they gradually settled down to their work, and pulling in their usual grand style, at less than two hundred yards they had increased their lead to fully half a boat's length.
A few strokes after, to the practised eye of any one familiar with boat-rowing there was manifestly something wrong with Renforth. He appeared to falter and to pull out of stroke. The other members of the crew held gallantly on, and for the next two hundred yards they, notwithstanding Renforth's irregular rowing, maintained their lead of half a length. By the time this point was reached Renforth's condition had told its tale, he was swaying from side to side of the boat. The St. John crew were soon level, and pulling their usual short, rapid stroke with great regularity and precision, they began to forge ahead, and by the time the boats had gone half a mile the Tyne men were nearly three lengths behind.
At this point Kelly called on Renforth to make an effort, and the gallant fellow rowed on with great resolution, but evidently in a sinking condition, till one mile and a quarter of the course had been covered. The oar then dropped from his hand; turning to Kelly he said 'Harry, I have had something,' and then fell backward into the boat. Kelly held the poor champion, while Percy and Chambers rowed the boat to Appleby's Wharf.
Renforth (who was quite insensible when he was landed) was then carried from the boat on the arms of his mates, put into a conveyance, and driven a mile and a half to Claremont House, their training quarters. Here he was laid on his own bed. Kelley took him in his arms, while Percy and I rubbed his feet. We anxiously inquired for a medical man, and mounted messengers were despatched in every direction in search of one. It was quite half an hour before one was found-the most anxious half-hour I ever passed.
Before the doctor arrived, our poor friend had recovered consciousness, and the first words he uttered were, 'It is not a fit I have had-I will tell you all about it directly.' He then became cold, and almost pulseless. He could scarcely bear to be touched, and his mouth every now and then filled with froth. Kelley, Percy, William Blakey, and I did the best we could to keep up the circulation on his limbs, but all our efforts were unavailing. Dr. Johnson, of St. John, who had now arrived, made a careful examination of our patient, and ordered him a little brandy and water, and directed that hot bottles should be put to his feet.
Dr. MacLaren also shortly came to us, and, taking out his lancet, he opened a vein in each arm. But for a considerable time the blood would scarcely flow, and it became obvious that poor Renforth was sinking fast. After a brief consultation, the two doctors gave us all to understand that our countryman was dying. Kelly took Renforth's head between his hands and cried bitterly. Percy, Chambers, and Bright, the remaining members of our crew, along with William Blakey, John Adams, Robert Liddell, and myself stood around the bed, and witnessed, with ill-suppressed emotion, the vigorous life of our poor friend gradually ebb away.
At a quarter to nine o'clock, within two hours of the time when he had left the same house full of health and spirits, our dear comrade and England's greatest oarsman passed quietly to rest, without a struggle, and apparently without pain, in the arms of the most skilful competitor he ever had and one of his truest friends-Harry Kelley." An inquest was held over the body in Canada, when a verdict of "Died from natural causes" was returned.-The career of Renforth, though short, was an eventful one in the annals of boat rowing."
Burial and legacy
Renforth's memorial in Gateshead
His body was brought home to Tyneside and he was buried in St Edmund's Cemetery, Gateshead. It was claimed that 100,000 mourners attended his funeral. It is true to say that Tyneside was shocked by the death of a 29-year-old athlete in his prime, especially so soon after the deaths of Chambers in 1868 and Clasper in 1870. As with the other two oarsmen, a funeral monument was commissioned to stand over his grave. In 1992, it was restored and moved to a site outside the Shipley Art Gallery in Gateshead, where it remains.
Renforth's name was not forgotten in Canada. The community in which his last race took place in New Brunswick was named Renforth in his honour.
"In 1868 Renforth, one of the most powerful men that ever sat in a boat, easily defeated Kelley. With the subsequent history of this noted sculler everybody is familiar. His untimely death in America cast a gloom over the whole of the United Kingdom. I believe him to have been one of the fastest men that ever handled a pair. His loss to us at that most critical time was irreparable, for from his death may be dated the decline of English sculling"

Gateshead is a town in the Gateshead Metropolitan Borough of Tyne and Wear, England. It is on the River Tyne's southern bank. The town's attractions include the twenty metre tall Angel of the North sculpture on the town's southern outskirts, The Glasshouse International Centre for Music and the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art. The town shares the Millennium Bridge, Tyne Bridge and multiple other bridges with Newcastle upon Tyne.
Historically part of County Durham, under the Local Government Act 1888 the town was made a county borough, meaning it was administered independently of the county council.
In the 2011 Census, the town had a population of 120,046 while the wider borough had 200,214.
History
Gateshead is first mentioned in Latin translation in Bede's Ecclesiastical History of the English People as ad caput caprae ("at the goat's head"). This interpretation is consistent with the later English attestations of the name, among them Gatesheued (c. 1190), literally "goat's head" but in the context of a place-name meaning 'headland or hill frequented by (wild) goats'. Although other derivations have been mooted, it is this that is given by the standard authorities.
A Brittonic predecessor, named with the element *gabro-, 'goat' (c.f. Welsh gafr), may underlie the name. Gateshead might have been the Roman-British fort of Gabrosentum.
Early
There has been a settlement on the Gateshead side of the River Tyne, around the old river crossing where the Swing Bridge now stands, since Roman times.
The first recorded mention of Gateshead is in the writings of the Venerable Bede who referred to an Abbot of Gateshead called Utta in 623. In 1068 William the Conqueror defeated the forces of Edgar the Ætheling and Malcolm king of Scotland (Shakespeare's Malcolm) on Gateshead Fell (now Low Fell and Sheriff Hill).
During medieval times Gateshead was under the jurisdiction of the Bishop of Durham. At this time the area was largely forest with some agricultural land. The forest was the subject of Gateshead's first charter, granted in the 12th century by Hugh du Puiset, Bishop of Durham. An alternative spelling may be "Gatishevede", as seen in a legal record, dated 1430.
Industrial revolution
Throughout the Industrial Revolution the population of Gateshead expanded rapidly; between 1801 and 1901 the increase was over 100,000. This expansion resulted in the spread southwards of the town.
In 1854, a catastrophic explosion on the quayside destroyed most of Gateshead's medieval heritage, and caused widespread damage on the Newcastle side of the river.
Sir Joseph Swan lived at Underhill, Low Fell, Gateshead from 1869 to 1883, where his experiments led to the invention of the electric light bulb. The house was the first in the world to be wired for domestic electric light.
In the 1889 one of the largest employers (Hawks, Crawshay and Company) closed down and unemployment has since been a burden. Up to the Second World War there were repeated newspaper reports of the unemployed sending deputations to the council to provide work. The depression years of the 1920s and 1930s created even more joblessness and the Team Valley Trading Estate was built in the mid-1930s to alleviate the situation.
Regeneration
In the late noughties, Gateshead Council started to regenerate the town, with the long-term aim of making Gateshead a city. The most extensive transformation occurred in the Quayside, with almost all the structures there being constructed or refurbished in this time.
In the early 2010s, regeneration refocused on the town centre. The £150 million Trinity Square development opened in May 2013, it incorporates student accommodation, a cinema, health centre and shops. It was nominated for the Carbuncle Cup in September 2014. The cup was however awarded to another development which involved Tesco, Woolwich Central.
Governance
In 1835, Gateshead was established as a municipal borough and in 1889 it was made a county borough, independent from Durham County Council.
In 1870, the Old Town Hall was built, designed by John Johnstone who also designed the previously built Newcastle Town Hall. The ornamental clock in front of the old town hall was presented to Gateshead in 1892 by the mayor, Walter de Lancey Willson, on the occasion of him being elected for a third time. He was also one of the founders of Walter Willson's, a chain of grocers in the North East and Cumbria. The old town hall also served as a magistrate's court and one of Gateshead's police stations.
Current
In 1974, following the Local Government Act 1972, the County Borough of Gateshead was merged with the urban districts of Felling, Whickham, Blaydon and Ryton and part of the rural district of Chester-le-Street to create the much larger Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead.
Geography
The town of Gateshead is in the North East of England in the ceremonial county of Tyne and Wear, and within the historic boundaries of County Durham. It is located on the southern bank of the River Tyne at a latitude of 54.57° N and a longitude of 1.35° W. Gateshead experiences a temperate climate which is considerably warmer than some other locations at similar latitudes as a result of the warming influence of the Gulf Stream (via the North Atlantic drift). It is located in the rain shadow of the North Pennines and is therefore in one of the driest regions of the United Kingdom.
One of the most distinguishing features of Gateshead is its topography. The land rises 230 feet from Gateshead Quays to the town centre and continues rising to a height of 525 feet at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sheriff Hill. This is in contrast to the flat and low lying Team Valley located on the western edges of town. The high elevations allow for impressive views over the Tyne valley into Newcastle and across Tyneside to Sunderland and the North Sea from lookouts in Windmill Hills and Windy Nook respectively.
The Office for National Statistics defines the town as an urban sub-division. The latest (2011) ONS urban sub-division of Gateshead contains the historical County Borough together with areas that the town has absorbed, including Dunston, Felling, Heworth, Pelaw and Bill Quay.
Given the proximity of Gateshead to Newcastle, just south of the River Tyne from the city centre, it is sometimes incorrectly referred to as being a part of Newcastle. Gateshead Council and Newcastle City Council teamed up in 2000 to create a unified marketing brand name, NewcastleGateshead, to better promote the whole of the Tyneside conurbation.
Economy
Gateshead is home to the MetroCentre, the largest shopping mall in the UK until 2008; and the Team Valley Trading Estate, once the largest and still one of the larger purpose-built commercial estates in the UK.
Arts
The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art has been established in a converted flour mill. The Glasshouse International Centre for Music, previously The Sage, a Norman Foster-designed venue for music and the performing arts opened on 17 December 2004. Gateshead also hosted the Gateshead Garden Festival in 1990, rejuvenating 200 acres (0.81 km2) of derelict land (now mostly replaced with housing). The Angel of the North, a famous sculpture in nearby Lamesley, is visible from the A1 to the south of Gateshead, as well as from the East Coast Main Line. Other public art include works by Richard Deacon, Colin Rose, Sally Matthews, Andy Goldsworthy, Gordon Young and Michael Winstone.
Traditional and former
The earliest recorded coal mining in the Gateshead area is dated to 1344. As trade on the Tyne prospered there were several attempts by the burghers of Newcastle to annex Gateshead. In 1576 a small group of Newcastle merchants acquired the 'Grand Lease' of the manors of Gateshead and Whickham. In the hundred years from 1574 coal shipments from Newcastle increased elevenfold while the population of Gateshead doubled to approximately 5,500. However, the lease and the abundant coal supplies ended in 1680. The pits were shallow as problems of ventilation and flooding defeated attempts to mine coal from the deeper seams.
'William Cotesworth (1668-1726) was a prominent merchant based in Gateshead, where he was a leader in coal and international trade. Cotesworth began as the son of a yeoman and apprentice to a tallow - candler. He ended as an esquire, having been mayor, Justice of the Peace and sheriff of Northumberland. He collected tallow from all over England and sold it across the globe. He imported dyes from the Indies, as well as flax, wine, and grain. He sold tea, sugar, chocolate, and tobacco. He operated the largest coal mines in the area, and was a leading salt producer. As the government's principal agent in the North country, he was in contact with leading ministers.
William Hawks originally a blacksmith, started business in Gateshead in 1747, working with the iron brought to the Tyne as ballast by the Tyne colliers. Hawks and Co. eventually became one of the biggest iron businesses in the North, producing anchors, chains and so on to meet a growing demand. There was keen contemporary rivalry between 'Hawks' Blacks' and 'Crowley's Crew'. The famous 'Hawks' men' including Ned White, went on to be celebrated in Geordie song and story.
In 1831 a locomotive works was established by the Newcastle and Darlington Railway, later part of the York, Newcastle and Berwick Railway. In 1854 the works moved to the Greenesfield site and became the manufacturing headquarters of North Eastern Railway. In 1909, locomotive construction was moved to Darlington and the rest of the works were closed in 1932.
Robert Stirling Newall took out a patent on the manufacture of wire ropes in 1840 and in partnership with Messrs. Liddell and Gordon, set up his headquarters at Gateshead. A worldwide industry of wire-drawing resulted. The submarine telegraph cable received its definitive form through Newall's initiative, involving the use of gutta-percha surrounded by strong wires. The first successful Dover–Calais cable on 25 September 1851, was made in Newall's works. In 1853, he invented the brake-drum and cone for laying cable in deep seas. Half of the first Atlantic cable was manufactured in Gateshead. Newall was interested in astronomy, and his giant 25-inch (640 mm) telescope was set up in the garden at Ferndene, his Gateshead residence, in 1871.
Architecture
JB Priestley, writing of Gateshead in his 1934 travelogue English Journey, said that "no true civilisation could have produced such a town", adding that it appeared to have been designed "by an enemy of the human race".
Victorian
William Wailes the celebrated stained-glass maker, lived at South Dene from 1853 to 1860. In 1860, he designed Saltwell Towers as a fairy-tale palace for himself. It is an imposing Victorian mansion in its own park with a romantic skyline of turrets and battlements. It was originally furnished sumptuously by Gerrard Robinson. Some of the panelling installed by Robinson was later moved to the Shipley Art gallery. Wailes sold Saltwell Towers to the corporation in 1876 for use as a public park, provided he could use the house for the rest of his life. For many years the structure was essentially an empty shell but following a restoration programme it was reopened to the public in 2004.
Post millennium
The council sponsored the development of a Gateshead Quays cultural quarter. The development includes the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, erected in 2001, which won the prestigious Stirling Prize for Architecture in 2002.
Former brutalism
The brutalist Trinity Centre Car Park, which was designed by Owen Luder, dominated the town centre for many years until its demolition in 2010. A product of attempts to regenerate the area in the 1960s, the car park gained an iconic status due to its appearance in the 1971 film Get Carter, starring Michael Caine. An unsuccessful campaign to have the structure listed was backed by Sylvester Stallone, who played the main role in the 2000 remake of the film. The car park was scheduled for demolition in 2009, but this was delayed as a result of a disagreement between Tesco, who re-developed the site, and Gateshead Council. The council had not been given firm assurances that Tesco would build the previously envisioned town centre development which was to include a Tesco mega-store as well as shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, offices and student accommodation. The council effectively used the car park as a bargaining tool to ensure that the company adhered to the original proposals and blocked its demolition until they submitted a suitable planning application. Demolition finally took place in July–August 2010.
The Derwent Tower, another well known example of brutalist architecture, was also designed by Owen Luder and stood in the neighbourhood of Dunston. Like the Trinity Car Park it also failed in its bid to become a listed building and was demolished in 2012. Also located in this area are the Grade II listed Dunston Staithes which were built in 1890. Following the award of a Heritage Lottery Fund grant of almost £420,000 restoration of the structure is expected to begin in April 2014.
Sport
Gateshead International Stadium regularly holds international athletics meetings over the summer months, and is home of the Gateshead Harriers athletics club. It is also host to rugby league fixtures, and the home ground of Gateshead Football Club. Gateshead Thunder Rugby League Football Club played at Gateshead International Stadium until its purchase by Newcastle Rugby Limited and the subsequent rebranding as Newcastle Thunder. Both clubs have had their problems: Gateshead A.F.C. were controversially voted out of the Football League in 1960 in favour of Peterborough United, whilst Gateshead Thunder lost their place in Super League as a result of a takeover (officially termed a merger) by Hull F.C. Both Gateshead clubs continue to ply their trade at lower levels in their respective sports, thanks mainly to the efforts of their supporters. The Gateshead Senators American Football team also use the International Stadium, as well as this it was used in the 2006 Northern Conference champions in the British American Football League.
Gateshead Leisure Centre is home to the Gateshead Phoenix Basketball Team. The team currently plays in EBL League Division 4. Home games are usually on a Sunday afternoon during the season, which runs from September to March. The team was formed in 2013 and ended their initial season well placed to progress after defeating local rivals Newcastle Eagles II and promotion chasing Kingston Panthers.
In Low Fell there is a cricket club and a rugby club adjacent to each other on Eastwood Gardens. These are Gateshead Fell Cricket Club and Gateshead Rugby Club. Gateshead Rugby Club was formed in 1998 following the merger of Gateshead Fell Rugby Club and North Durham Rugby Club.
Transport
Gateshead is served by the following rail transport stations with some being operated by National Rail and some being Tyne & Wear Metro stations: Dunston, Felling, Gateshead Interchange, Gateshead Stadium, Heworth Interchange, MetroCentre and Pelaw.
Tyne & Wear Metro stations at Gateshead Interchange and Gateshead Stadium provide direct light-rail access to Newcastle Central, Newcastle Airport , Sunderland, Tynemouth and South Shields Interchange.
National Rail services are provided by Northern at Dunston and MetroCentre stations. The East Coast Main Line, which runs from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh Waverley, cuts directly through the town on its way between Newcastle Central and Chester-le-Street stations. There are presently no stations on this line within Gateshead, as Low Fell, Bensham and Gateshead West stations were closed in 1952, 1954 and 1965 respectively.
Road
Several major road links pass through Gateshead, including the A1 which links London to Edinburgh and the A184 which connects the town to Sunderland.
Gateshead Interchange is the busiest bus station in Tyne & Wear and was used by 3.9 million bus passengers in 2008.
Cycle routes
Various bicycle trails traverse the town; most notably is the recreational Keelmans Way (National Cycle Route 14), which is located on the south bank of the Tyne and takes riders along the entire Gateshead foreshore. Other prominent routes include the East Gateshead Cycleway, which connects to Felling, the West Gateshead Cycleway, which links the town centre to Dunston and the MetroCentre, and routes along both the old and new Durham roads, which take cyclists to Birtley, Wrekenton and the Angel of the North.
Religion
Christianity has been present in the town since at least the 7th century, when Bede mentioned a monastery in Gateshead. A church in the town was burned down in 1080 with the Bishop of Durham inside.[citation needed] St Mary's Church was built near to the site of that building, and was the only church in the town until the 1820s. Undoubtedly the oldest building on the Quayside, St Mary's has now re-opened to the public as the town's first heritage centre.
Many of the Anglican churches in the town date from the 19th century, when the population of the town grew dramatically and expanded into new areas. The town presently has a number of notable and large churches of many denominations.
Judaism
The Bensham district is home to a community of hundreds of Jewish families and used to be known as "Little Jerusalem". Within the community is the Gateshead Yeshiva, founded in 1929, and other Jewish educational institutions with international enrolments. These include two seminaries: Beis Medrash L'Morot and Beis Chaya Rochel seminary, colloquially known together as Gateshead "old" and "new" seminaries.
Many yeshivot and kollels also are active. Yeshivat Beer Hatorah, Sunderland Yeshiva, Nesivos Hatorah, Nezer Hatorah and Yeshiva Ketana make up some of the list.
Islam
Islam is practised by a large community of people in Gateshead and there are 2 mosques located in the Bensham area (in Ely Street and Villa Place).
Twinning
Gateshead is twinned with the town of Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray near Rouen in France, and the city of Komatsu in Japan.

George, from the Democratic Republic of Congo, was physically attacked by his wife after a domestic disagreement at their shelter at Kakuma refugee camp. It took the intervention of the police to make her stop. They were separated for a period of time and he sought help. In addition to counselling, George was enrolled in a six-month mobile phone repair class to keep him engaged and in contact with others who have suffered a similar ordeal. He is back with his wife and hopeful that they can return to their normal life.

When not scaring off beasties, Fujifilm GFX 50R, with Fujinon GF63mmF2.8 R WR lens attached, produced consistently better portraits for this series than Leica Q2. The 51.4-megapixel, 43.8 x 32.9 mm medium-format sensor matched to 50mm film-equivalent glass delivers fantastic detail and dynamic range, allowing the shooter to crop-in during post-production. The more compact, 28mm, fixed-lens, 47.3-megapixel full-frame (24 x 36 mm sensor) Q2 needs to be closer to subjects because of focal length, which cannot be physically changed. Proximity often isn’t an option for felines, particularly one suspected of belonging to a feral colony.
This portrait of a tabby that I nickname Keen for alertness, is example. While good enough, it is less than what I’ve come to expect from using the 50R. But the Fuji is sold, and the Leica better fits my shooting style. It's nearly a one-size-fits-all camera, and that's a bucketload of usability benefits.

Light, Archetypal identity, oriented to self-reflection
This chakra is known as the brow chakra or third eye center. It is related to the act of seeing, both physically and intuitively. As such it opens our psychic faculties and our understanding of archetypal levels. When healthy it allows us to see clearly, in effect, letting us "see the big picture."

Die sieben Hauptchakren
Kronenchakra, Stirnchakra, Halschakra, Herzchakra, Solarplexuschakra, Sakralchakra und Wurzelchakra
Layouthilfe

H.E.S.S. is a system of Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes, built by an global scientific consortium near the Gamsberg Pass in Namibia. As gadgets go, this is physically the biggest and the most technologically advanced in Namibia (there aren't any others, really, but this one is seriously awesome). The reason it was built there is that that there is nothing there to pollute the view of the night sky. No humans or concentrated human activity, no animals and not much vegetation to speak of. This is "nowhere" at it's best. Getting to H.E.S.S. from Windhoek is a drive (about 100km, of which a good part on gravel), but very worth it. The scientists working there ask for an advance booking, but will be happy to provide a tour. This photo was taken on an Open Day hosted by H.E.S.S. The telecope mirror is seen pointing at the sky, which never happens during daylight on regular duty days, as the Sun's reflection will easily destroy the sensitive camera.
"H.E.S.S. is a system of Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes that investigates cosmic gamma rays in the energy range from 10s of GeV to 10s of TeV. The name H.E.S.S. stands for High Energy Stereoscopic System, and is also intended to pay homage to Victor Hess , who received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1936 for his discovery of cosmic radiation. The instrument allows scientists to explore gamma-ray sources with intensities at a level of a few thousandths of the flux of the Crab nebula (the brightest steady source of gamma rays in the sky). H.E.S.S. is located in Namibia, near the Gamsberg mountain, an area well known for its excellent optical quality. The first of the four telescopes of Phase I of the H.E.S.S. project went into operation in Summer 2002; all four were operational in December 2003, and were officially inaugurated on September 28, 2004. A much larger fifth telescope - H.E.S.S. II - is operational since July 2012, extending the energy coverage towards lower energies and further improving sensitivity.
The H.E.S.S. observatory is operated by the collaboration of more than 170 scientists, from 32 scientific institutions and 12 different countries: Namibia and South Africa, Germany, France, the UK, Ireland, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Armenia, and Australia. To date, the H.E.S.S. Collaboration has published over 100 articles in high-impact scientific journals, including the top-ranked ‘Nature’ and ‘Science’ journals.
H.E.S.S. was awarded in 2006 the Descartes Prize of the European Commission - the highest recognition for collaborative research - and in 2010 the prestigious Rossi Prize of the American Astronomical Society. In a survey in 2006, H.E.S.S. was ranked the 10th most influential observatory worldwide, joining the ranks with the Hubble Space Telescope or the telescopes of the European Southern Observatory ESO in Chile."
In other words, pretty awesome.

a long solo day in the mt. margaret wilds proved to be both mentally and physically more challenging than I had expected (I had expected difficult. I know this country well). snow conditions ranged from ankle deep slop to thigh and a few times, chest deep drift on top of an awful, unconsolidated base, on top of mud.
it was good. the solo days always get my head right. and I needed a “getting my head right” sort of day. any day that imposes physical, mental and spiritual challenges is a blessing.
i was pretty tired when I finally arrived here and knew that in 4 miles I was out. living on honey shots and nuun infused water had reached the end of usefulness, and I had told myself “when you get there, just there, you can break out the feast, pull up a chair and chill for a bit, perhaps order up a stout and torch a cigar. . .
miso. black tea, brewed twice. a nut and fruit bar (Kind brand—dayum!) coconut dark chocolate and another 20 oz bottle of nuun watah put me back in the mood. (notice i am not crediting 25 minutes of not moving with any mood uplifting properties. nuh- uhh. not. at. all. nevah ;-D
Police say they arrested more than 500 protesters in their operation on Wednesday morning to clear a sit-in on Chater Road in Central, after the end of the July 1st mass democracy rally.
The protesters, including members of the Federation of Students and Civic Passion, had linked arms while sitting on the road and had vowed to stay until 8am.
Their action was seen as a taste of what might happen later this year if the Occupy Central civil disobedience campaign goes ahead.
Police had earlier warned those taking part in the sit-in that they risked detention and prosecution. In the end 511 were arrested.
Officers began to move in just after 3am, and loaded the protesters on to coaches.
Some went willingly but those who remained were told that the police would use "necessary force" unless they boarded "designated vehicles".
Groups of officers then began to cordon off and physically carry demonstrators from the site.
A police tannoy said that all those remaining were under arrest for causing "obstruction and danger to road users" and for "unauthorised assembly".
The last of the protesters were removed about 8:30am with Chater Road reopening to traffic at 9am.
The confrontation involving up to 1,000 demonstrators followed a largely peaceful rally Tuesday which organisers said attracted a record crowd and the largest since Britain handed Hong Kong back to China in 1997.
The march organisers said 510,000 people took part in the democracy rally, but police estimated that 98,600 people participated.
The University of Hong Kong's Public Opinion Programme put the number of demonstrators at between 154,000 and 172,000.
The march, which began at 3pm in Victoria Park in Causeway Bay, did not finish in Central until eight hours later.
The Convenor of the Alliance for True Democracy, Joseph Cheng, said he hoped the turnout would send a strong message to the government that people want a greater say in choosing the chief executive, and could lead to a softening of the stance from Beijing.
Democratic Party lawmaker James To, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council's Panel on Security, said the demonstrators who were arrested by the police were not being allowed to meet their lawyers.
The leader of the Civic Party, legislator Alan Leong, said the police were wrong to make the arrests because the protesters had announced in advance that they had decided to end their action.
In Beijing, a Deputy Finance Minister, Wang Bao'an, said on Wednesday that it was inevitable that if the Occupy Central disobedience protest goes ahead later this year, it will have a negative impact on Hong Kong's economic development and social stability.
He said there were other channels for the public to express their views.
RTHK News
There is a mood here that I am very unsure how to describe.
I will be making an OC for once! And this is the base.
My thoughts, however introductory they may be, are:
- Still searching for a name
- She will be Irish
- She is around 23-24 years old
- Intelligent and observant, but stubborn as a dang mule. Generally needs to have "hands on learning" to get lessons to stick. Very prideful.
- Blessed with incredible genetics physically, she has been an incredible athlete with beyond the norm strength from a young age. This was only amplified when she started hitting the gym regularly.
- She stands at around 5ft tall, and weighs around 130lbs (kinda guessing here as she's pure muscle, and quite bulky, but is quite short. Muscle weighs a good bit though. Still gotta figure this one out.) Both these things matter for what she does.
- Was a troublemaker in school and had a hard time finding an outlet for her frustrations and rebellious attitude. Until...
- A friend introduced her to UFC/MMA in high school. Started to participate in low level, local events at 17 years old.
- What she lacked in technique she made up for in strength and often pushed through more technically complete opponents using power and stubbornness.
- Became an up and coming fighter as a result, but as she rose through the ranks to become a semi-professional fighter around 20-21 years old, she found herself taking loss after loss. Her opponents at this level were still struggling to match her strength, but their technique was significantly better and it made up any gaps in strength.
- She is unsure of what fighting style fits her best. Struggles to find a teacher as her stubbornness and pride makes it significantly more difficult for anyone to be willing to take her on, and for her to learn.
Nearly 1,000 Students to Participate in WSSU Commencement on May 15
WINSTON-SALEM, NC -- Christina Wareâs story is one of the many inspiring testimonials of the nearly 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students from near and afar who are expected to participate in Winston-Salem State Universityâs commencement ceremony on Friday, May 15, at 9:45 a.m., at Bowman Gray Stadium, 1250 South Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive.
Academy Award-winning recording artist, activist and actor Common will be the keynote speaker. There are no guest limits or ticket requirements for the ceremony.
It is conceivable that Wareâs story of work ethic, undeniable spirit and enthusiasm encapsulates the sentiment of her graduating 2015 classmates.
Ware, 43, of Winston-Salem, is quite active on and off campus as a mentor to other students, a member of the non-traditional student organization, the first president of Epsilon Chapter 130 of Tau Sigma National Honor Society at WSSU, a wife and proud mother of two. She is also legally blind. She wants to blaze trails, set examples and raise the bar for others with disabilities.
âIn 2007, I lost my eyesight. After a six-month pity party, I decided to continue my education and make a difference for others. Since 2008, I have spent every day of my life proving to society that having a disability does not mean we are weak. I am now an advocate for persons with disabilities,â Ware, a business major, said, "We are not handicapped, we are handy capable!"
Ware, who can be described as always pleasant and having an unlimited enthusiasm for life, says every day alive is like Christmas. She demands to be treated like everyone else and has been noted to say, âI may physically fall, but mentally I can get back up and pull a 4.0 semester.â After graduation she wants to start a Kosher/Halal foods business and become active on community boards.
The China Connection
From the City of Harbin, the capital and largest city of the Heilongjiang province of the People's Republic of China, WSSU Master of Arts in the Teaching of English as a Second Language and Applied Linguistics students Yaowen Xing and Chunling Zhang have found a second home at WSSU and in Winston-Salem. They perhaps have come the farthest distance attend the university.
With a population of more than five million people, Harbin is situated in the northeast region of China so close to Russia that only the Songhua River separates the two countries. Nicknamed the Ice City, the average winter temperature is -3.5 °F with annual lows hitting -31.0 °F. Itâs no wonder the students say the warmer weather here in the Piedmont Triad has not been lost in translation with them and itâs one of the things they enjoy.
âWe really love the weather in North Carolina, especially the long summer time, since our hometown is so cold with snow for almost 6 months of the year,â Xing, 30, noted. âWe also love the people at WSSU and the faculty who all are nice and it has been a really good experience.â
Xing and Zhang, 35, are in America as part of a Chinese education immersion program to help exchange the cultures between China and America. They enjoy working as cultural ambassadors to students in both the cultures. The two came to the U.S. in 2013 and have been teaching at Konnoak Elementary school during the early hours and studying and researching later in the day. âComing to America was a dream for me after learning about it through books, movies and music, and my time here it has been amazing,â Xing said.
Zhang, said she didnât know much about WSSU or Historically Black Colleges or Universities (HBCUâs), but after a short time here she knew WSSU would be was special part of life. âI have met many African- Americans who have been friendly and helpful. I now can say I truly have many black friends,â Zhang said. She and Xing have taken advantage of the HBCU experience. They have been often seen attending evening lectures and presentations, sports events, musical and visual arts events. With their WSSU master degrees they will return to China one day in the future to make an impact on teaching and the quality of education there.
The All-In Approach
Olivia N. Sedwick, 21, a political science major from Indianapolis, has taken âthe all-in approach" to her WSSU experience. The current WSSU student government president (SGA), honorâs student and champion athlete, chose WSSU over other schools she could have attended.
Featured in a USA Today article highlighting the HBCU experience released last June, Sedwick is quoted as saying about WSSU, âI fell in love with the school.â She says, âWe talked about things that I had never had the chance to before coming from a predominantly white high school.â
Liking the intellectual and social environment, she was comfortable becoming involved around campus. In her first year, a walk-on athlete for the womenâs track and field team, she was a 2013 CIAA Indoor Womenâs Track and Field All-Conference competitor and the WSSU womenâs shot put record holder until earlier this year, although she never competed in the throws until coming to college. In her second year she served as the sophomore class vice president while also being appointed to serve on many committees throughout the university. In that same year, she was a delegate to the UNC Association of Student Governments (UNCASG), representing WSSU students on a state-wide level. At the end of that year, she became the first African-American female elected senior vice president of UNCASG and served in that capacity for the entirety of her third year while being active as the chief of staff for the WSSU student government association that year also. Toward the end of her term in UNCASG, she decided to run for student body president and has served as the voice of the students for the duration of her last year. With all of her activities, she has maintained a 3.95 GPA throughout her time in college.
Sedwick has been selected as a UNC General Administration Presidential Intern, which begins in July. Upon completion of the prestigious one-year appointment, Sedwick plans to attend Howard University School of Law.
A Drum Major who will March for a Noble Cause
Willie Davis, 22, a social work major from Fayetteville, N.C., who has led WSSUâs Red Sea of Sound Marching Band as a drum major for his senior year, will now march to lead the charge for helping veterans and their families cope with typical and unique challenges of serving in military. Davis will be one of four Cadets with the distinct honor of being commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant U.S. in the U.S. Army during this yearâs commencement ceremony. Despite that professionally Davis will help vets, military and families with things like dealing with emotions, he said, âI donât think I will be ready for the commissioning part (of commencement) emotionally.â
Readiness for Davis is an understatement. The youngest of three siblings, who was age 10 when his father died, Davis has been an A average student throughout life. He was in the top ten of his high school class and the first generation in his family to attend college. At WSSU, besides maintaining high academic achievement and serving in the U.S. Army ROTC, Davis has been active with the WSSU Band, the University Choir, a Campus Ambassador, a mentor to freshmen students, vice president of the WSSU chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity, a Veterans Helping Veterans Heal intern and a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem.
After graduation, Davis is going to graduate school at the University of South Carolina. He plans to complete that program in one year and begin his military duties. As a clinical social worker, his responsibilities may range from clinical counseling, crisis intervention, disaster relief, critical event debriefing, teaching and training, supervision, research, administration, consultation and policy development in various military settings. He wants to specialize in helping military veterans who suffer from different traumas such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), paranoid schizophrenia and other conditions.
I've had quite an exhausting day today despite not being physically very active.
Most of the day has been spent reading through various earthquake design codes and finishing off a paper on sustainable construction that I've written and is going to be published in the US, so mentally I'm pooped...
Came home from work this evening and I had quite a few things that needed to be done, so I didn't get round to getting the camera out and thinking about what to shoot today until about 11.30pm... This is a macro shot of a guitar I bought earlier in the year with the intention of learning how to play, but I seriously under estimated the amount of time that my other commitments would suck out of my day and so I've never got round to it... I will learn to play it though at some point...
The Golden Ratio in Dr. Elliot McGucken's Fine Art Ballet Photography!

The 45EPIC landscapes and goddesses are straight out of Homer's Iliad & Odyssey!
Ludwig van Beethoven: "Music/poetry/art should strike fire from the heart of man, and bring tears from the eyes of woman."
“My name is Diane. I'm an African American female. I'm 51 years old. When I was 24 I became physically challenged with three young children. (My baby was nine months old.) My mobility is with the use of a wheelchair and a walker for short distance. Becoming physically challenged wasn't enough for me. I guess I needed another wake up call to really live life.
“I was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 40. It doesn't run in my family. So I was very surprised. Breast cancer is definitely not a death sentence. It's a wake up call. It makes you aware of just how fragile life can be and you also become aware of the things that you have to do in order to survive. You have to be your own advocate. This is your health. This is your life. Demand everything that you need, because you can't take shortcuts with breast cancer.
“Early detection is the key. It's the key to whether you're going to live or die. And you can't detect it if you don't go for the screenings. You may not have breast cancer. You may be fortunate. You may be one of the blessed ones. But you won't know unless you have the screenings. It can happen to you-I'm proof of that. Catching it when I did catch it, that's why I'm alive today. I'm ecstatic to be alive.
“My final words to women with any type of physical disability is that you've come this far and it hasn't been easy. You've overcome what you had to overcome, you're still alive and you're still functioning. And that in itself shows you that you have the strength to do what you have to do for yourself. You have to take that strength or dig deep inside and find the strength to really take care of yourself. You know you deserve this. We deserve this. From where I'm sitting breast cancer screening is the key to living.”

Tithes and Offerings
God is a covenant keeping God. He has made provision for everything that we need (physically, mentally and financially) and that He has called each of us to do on this earth. There are many fine books on tithes and offerings so I am just going to touch on the highlights.
Why do we teach on tithes and offerings? It is because God loves you and is concerned about your financial health. He has made covenantal provision for you and if we obey His commands, we can expect His blessing and provision (Deuteronomy 26-28) and in my opinion it is a form of spiritual warfare for as we submit ourselves to God we resist the devil (James 4:7). We establish the rule and the reign of the king in our lives for He gives us power to get wealth in order to establish His covenant (Deuteronomy 8:18).
The tithe was instituted before the law.
Tithe literally means “tenth.” We find that in Genesis 14 the tithe was instituted by Abram right after he had defeated an enemy and recovered his stolen family and goods. He met Melchizedek the priest of God Most High and he worshipped the Lord with his tithe after the victory.
Genesis 14:18-20 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. 19 And he blessed him and said: "Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; 20 And blessed be God Most High,
Who has delivered your enemies into your hand." And he gave him a tithe of all. NKJV
The tithe is for the support of the Levites, widows, the fatherless and the poor.
Numbers 18:21 "Behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tithes in Israel as an inheritance in return for the work which they perform, the work of the tabernacle of meeting. NKJV
The tithe is also for the fatherless, the widow and the poor and you should take your tithes and offerings and offer them in the “place the Lord your God chooses.” You shall make sure that you do not forsake the Levite. (Leviticus 27:30-32, Numbers 18:26 , Deuteronomy 14:22-28, Deuteronomy 26:8-15)
Who are the Levites today? Or, what were the Levites a type of?
Numbers 8:19 And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the work for the children of Israel in the tabernacle of meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel, that there be no plague among the children of Israel when the children of Israel come near the sanctuary." NKJV (Numbers 18:24 , Numbers 3:9, Numbers 18:6)
The Aaron and his sons served in the Aaronic Priesthood. They had the privilege of ministering before the Lord personally. The sons of Levi were given as a gift to assist them in their service. Today, the blood of Jesus gives every believer the right to go before God’s throne personally. We can all minister and go before the Lord as the sons of Aaron. So who was given as a gift to assist individual believers today?
Who are the Levites a type of? They are a type of the five fold ministry.
Eph 4:8-14 Therefore He says: "When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive,
And gave gifts to men." ….. 11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, ….NKJV
What else does the Bible say about tithes?
Malachi 3:8-11 "Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say,
'In what way have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings. 9 You are cursed with a curse,
For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. 10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,"
Says the LORD of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. 11 "And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field," Says the LORD of hosts; NKJV
When the New King James says “try me” it can also be translated “test me.” It is the only place in the Bible that I know of that God says to test Him and see if He is not faithful. I can tell you that personally, my wife and I have been in dire financial straights. In one case we ended up in a very challenging financial position in the ministry. The income stopped while the out go just seemed to multiply. In fact, I have no doubt that many people would have filed bankruptcy with as much as we owed. Yet, we did not believe that bankruptcy was the honorable thing to do.
During that whole time, we never stopped giving tithes and offerings and we can testify that even though at times we were without a home, we always managed to pay our bills on time. It was important to us that we maintain a good testimony for the unbeliever and for us that meant meeting our contractual obligations. God was faithful, we never went hungry and we were never without a place to lay our head. In time, God delivered us from financial ruin and hardship.
Every believer has a responsibility to give and every ministry (minister) has the responsibility to ensure that the altar you give into is pure so that the covenant can be kept.
We see in Matthew 23:16-24 that Jesus teaches us that it is the altar that sanctifies the gift. In other words, the condition of the altar is very important. In verse 19 it says "Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift.”
What can corrupt an altar? Manipulating people through slick marketing campaigns or long drawn out pleas for money where guilt and or other tactics are used to pull on your heart strings for the purpose of personal financial gain. The issue springs from impure motives and manifests itself in unholy actions. You need the spirit of God to discern between the one who is simply sharing a vision, one who is teaching on what the Bible says about money, and one who is using the scripture for their own personal profit or gain.
So how do we apply that personally? We see in the Old Testament that there are many references to God telling the children of Israel to offer their offerings in the “place He chooses to make His name abide.” (Deuteronomy 12:14, 12:18 , 14:23 , 15:20 , 16:2…) This is where we get the concept of “Pray and Obey.” We believe our giving should be done out of relationship with the Lord. It should not be based upon us giving in to a slick marketing campaign or a plea for money using unholy manipulation.
If people would pray and obey about their giving and not give out of manipulation or perceived needs, then all of the impure ministries would go out of business. We pray and ask God where to give, who to give to and how much. For an excellent resource on this see Al Hougton’s book on “Purifying the Altar.” You can access it at wordatwork.org.
What are offerings used for?
Offerings were used to support people and were always used to either build or maintain buildings. For example, offerings were used to build the Tabernacle of Moses and Solomon’s Temple . See Exodus 35 and 1 Chronicles 22.
In all cases the tithes are offerings are to be used to worship the Lord.
For example, Abram used the tithe to worship the Lord after victory in Genesis 14 and you can see that all through the book of Exodus the offering was used to worship the Lord. For example, see 1 Chronicles 16 to see how King David used offerings in worship unto the Lord. God wants our giving to come from:
Exodus 35:5 Take from among you an offering to the LORD. Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it as an offering to the LORD: gold, silver, and bronze; NKJV
Tim, what is your definition of wealth?
Well I am glad you asked. I believe being wealthy is having enough to do all that God has told you to do and to give to every good work He tells you to give to. Abraham was rich because He was called to found a nation. King David acquired wealth because He was called to raise up a son who would build a temple for the Lord. Money is not evil. It is the “love of money” (1 Timothy 6:10 ) that is the problem. Money is a tool that we need to be good stewards of in accomplishing His will for our lives.
Deuteronomy 8:18 "And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. NKJV
What is the situation with giving in the United States ?
On May 31, 2003 I received an email from Michael Smith. In his email he said “George Barna just released the results of a survey of tithing in America . Apparently, in 2001 only 8% of Christians tithed. A low number, but not too surprising upon reflection. But here's the amazing thing... after September 11 and the deep impact that event was expected to have on Americans, the tithing statistic dropped to only 3% in 2002. That's right -- a 62% reduction in the number of tithing Americans in one year!”
So Tim, what are your thoughts about these statistics? Well I am glad you asked. I think it is disgusting. First, I expect 100% of Christians to give tithes and offerings. This tells me two things. First, there are many who call themselves Christians who obviously are not taught and if they are, they have chosen to not obey what the word says and therefore is robbing God and themselves (Malachi 3:10-11). Giving less after 9/11 indicates to me that fear overcame their trust in our Father’s faithfulness. Secondly, it also sheds some light on why some ministries may resort to manipulative tactics. I am not condoning manipulation; I am just saying I can see a factor that contributes to the situation.
Again, I encourage you to pray and obey. Give out of a personal relationship with the Lord. Spend time with Him in His word and in prayer and let Him direct the giving of your tithes and offerings.
If we tithe and give offerings what should we expect?
We should expect God to keep covenant with us. Malachi 3:10-11 indicates that we should be abundantly blessed and that God will rebuke the devourer for our sakes.
In summary:
The tithe is 10% and it is for people.
Offerings are used for people, buildings and stuff.
Every person is responsible to give tithes and offerings.
Every minister is responsible to ensure that the ministry or altar is pure and holy, free from impure motives, sin and unholy manipulation.
We need to give our tithes and offerings where our Lord tells us to give. Give out of relationship with the Lord. There have been times where we attended a local church that supported the five fold ministry and they gave to the poor, the fatherless and they took care of widows and we gave our whole tithe and most of our offerings there. Then there have been seasons in our life where we felt the Lord lead us to a local church wherein they did not support the five fold ministry or they did not give to the poor. So, we prayed and distributed our tithe and offerings as we felt the Lord directed us. We never attended a church that we did not feel we could sow our money into it. We would not attend a local church that we did not feel we could sow money into it.
If you have been blessed by this ministry and would like to exercise your faith right now through sowing an offering then we'd welcome your giving. The only requirement we have is that you "pray and obey." Ask the Lord what He wants you to do and then give based upon the amount He impresses you to give.S/W Ver: 9E.03.39R

Sama Ritual (Sufi Whirling)
Bursa, Republic of Turkey.
Sufi whirling (or Sufi spinning) is a form of Sama or physically active meditation which originated among Sufis, and which is still practiced by the Sufi Dervishes of the Mevlevi order. It is a customary dance performed within the Sema, or worship ceremony, through which dervishes (also called semazens) aim to reach the source of all perfection, or kemal. This is sought through abandoning one's nafs, egos or personal desires, by listening to the music, focusing on God, and spinning one's body in repetitive circles, which has been seen as a symbolic imitation of planets in the Solar System orbiting the sun.
As explained by Sufis:
In the symbolism of the Sema ritual, the semazen's camel's hair hat (sikke) represents the tombstone of the ego; his wide, white skirt represents the ego's shroud. By removing his black cloak, he is spiritually reborn to the truth. At the beginning of the Sema, by holding his arms crosswise, the semazen appears to represent the number one, thus testifying to God's unity. While whirling, his arms are open: his right arm is directed to the sky, ready to receive God's beneficence; his left hand, upon which his eyes are fastened, is turned toward the earth. The semazen conveys God's spiritual gift to those who are witnessing the Sema. Revolving from right to left around the heart, the semazen embraces all humanity with love. The human being has been created with love in order to love. Mevlâna Jalâluddîn Rumi says, "All loves are a bridge to Divine love. Yet, those who have not had a taste of it do not know!"
