Amazing Circles give amazing results and this one remains about the easiest Tutorial you will find and it works in Photoshop as well as Elements. Here are the three steps:
Higher resolution images work best here.
1. If you want a round circle, make a square image and go to Filter, Distort, Polar Coordinates, and click on the bottom choice. Polar to Rectangular.
2. Go to Image and Rotation, and click on 180 degrees.
3. Go back to filter and distort, Polar Coordinates, the time click on the top choice Rectangular to Polar.
And you are Done.
Flowers always work with this effect also Lit signs like the kind you see on the road for restaurants and Motels. I shot a carnation bush that was spectacular.

I did this Tutorial a few years ago. It is quite easy to make this colored smoke. I also provided a link for the Smoke brushes if you do not have any. The Photoshop Tutorial will work in any version or in Elements, and is quite easy, You also might get a few ideas for posting. The Tutorial is HERE
It is not in the Tutorial but if you want more than one color on your smoke just use a Gradient. For the Gradient click twice to get your smoke image stronger.

This can be done in 2 ways. The Vanishing Point Filter is one way and there are dozens of Tutorials to show you how. But the much simpler way is to put your background and type on 2 layers. Then go to Edit, Perspective Warp. You will see two modes on the top left corner of your screen one says Layout, then other says Warp. Be sure you are on the Text Layer.
With the Layout screen you can make your Panels to go around your text. Be sure you have a straight line on the divider. You can move these anywhere to cover your text. Make another panel for the other side, start it very close to the first panel. When you are done just join the Links to combine them.
Then clip on Warp. Nothing happens. but now when you move the panel links you can line up your type perfectly on the lines.
When you finish if one side didn't line up quite right go back to Perspective Warp and make another Panel and move it.
This is a much simpler way to accomplish the same result.

De eerste foto in 2015! Het moest een blue hour zijn, vandaag waren de voorspellingen qua weer nog goed voor het blauwe uur. Ook was er een 'bijna' volle maan. Bewust een wat groter diafragma gestoken om de foto niet te onrustig te maken met allerlei sterren.

I appreciate both photography and photoshopping and believe they can be used in harmony to make stunning images.
I thought this was a good image for a little before and after photoshop tutorial.
Scroll down for before image.
I always start with levels,
I used a white brush to paint out the distracting tree in the background.
I adjusted the hue to a red for the tree.
Using a layer mask, I erased the grass because it was too red.
Flattened.
Adjusted the hue to a yellow tone for the grass.
Layer mask erased the tree. Flattened.
I lightened the grass in the foreground with a white brush set at vivid light and about 25% opacity.
If you are using Elements and don't have a layer mask, just erase.
There are many ways to accomplish this same outcome. This is just the way that I chose.
I'd be glad to elaborate if you didn't catch anything.

Yesterday afternoon I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try some different processing techniques… in the hope of finding something that might improve this otherwise crappy image that I’d captured in Mouille Point a couple of weeks ago.
The processed B&W image didn’t look too bad on my large LCD screen at home… but now that I’m viewing it on my LCD here at work… it looks even crappier than the original colour version!! Oh well… I’m chalking it up as a learning experience! :)

Nikon D300, Sigma 10-20mm at 10mm, aperture of f7.1, with a 1/30th second exposure.

Yes I love him. I love him more than anything else in this world and there is nothing that I would like better than to hold on to him forever.
Andy and I went around with the guys from BlackRapid and MadPants Studios to shoot some video for Lightenupandshoot. We had run across this older dude named Mark several times on our trip in Seattle. We had discussed how cool it would be to take his photo and after talking to him for a bit, Mark was up for a shoot.
The light set up is extremely simple. We placed a 28" Apollo softbox directly above Mark and slightly feathered the box away from the wall. We wanted very little fall off on the wall so that Mark would really pop. Most people will have some hideous shadows under their eyes and nose, but for Mark this technique works perfect. You can see all the textures in his face.

This is the first picture that's turned out exactly how I planned, I'm so pleased xD
To backlight it I took a blank white photo and put it up on a TV screen behind me, which worked out really well for partially lit silhouettes.
Oh and I now have tumblr where I upload extra photos and stuff. =]
