A small visit to one of my facourite spots at the time showed my this wonderful transient scenery. Every now and then, there were small, spontaneous landslides that sent small rocks tumbling down the slope. I savored the tranquility and beauty of that fleeting moment.

This festival is known by various names to Loknath devotees like 'Kartik Vrat', 'Rakher Fast', 'Gosair Fast', or 'Grit Pradeep Prajjbalan'.
Loknath devotees observe fasting every Saturday and Tuesday on the last 15 days of Kartik month. After reaching the Ashram, they break their fast after lighting the lamp in the evening. Baba Loknath is said to have prescribed fasting in the month of Kartik and lighting of ghee lamps and incense in the ashram premises to ward off cholera-spring. Since then Loknath devotees celebrate this festival in the month of Kartik. Thousands of devotees gather around Loknath ashrams in different parts of Bangladesh to fast on Rakh. Pilgrims began to sit in a row around the ashram before dusk Waiting for the sun to set.As the sun sets in the western sky, devotees light ghee lamps By breaking through the darkness, the holy lamps of the devotees lit up all around. When the lamp is lit, the devotees are engrossed in prayer in the ashram covered with smoke of incense They wish for the welfare of their people. After lighting the ghee lamp, the day's fast is broken.
On the occasion of Rakh fast, Bangladesh's largest devotees' gathering took place at Sri Sri Loknath Brahmachari Ashram of Bardi Union of Sonargaon Upazila of Narayanganj.
Hundreds of devotees also gather at Loknath Ashram in Swamibagh area of Dhaka city to observe Rakh fast on Saturday and Tuesday, the last fortnight of Kartik.
