PharmaCorr OKC has started educating and training pharmacy students from two Oklahoma Pharmacy Schools as a way to give back to the profession and even to identify possible future Corizon employees.
The purpose of this experience is to expose students to the principles of managed care pharmacy. Students will learn about correctional healthcare, integrated health systems, managed care pharmacy operations, clinical pharmacy services, mail-order distribution and pharmaceutical contracting.
Currently, more than fourteen PharmaCorr OKC pharmacists are licensed preceptors. Drs. Curtis Miles, Dawn Mustain, Adam Curling, and Peter Lee are serving as primary preceptors and they also plan to incorporate pharmacy students into PharmaCorr’s future clinical program initiatives.
