Vintage Stony 2022. A nursery school for petrolheads of the future? Mind you, by the time today’s children grow up all vehicles are likely to be electric and the petrol engine will be considered “quaint” - like coal fires and red telephone boxes! In my home town of Milton Keynes we are currently trialling driverless cars, which personally I find quite frightening. So in a relatively short period of time we have come a long way from when a man walked in front of your car with a red flag…
The times they are a changing. Soon we won’t even have to think for ourselves…
Apart from cars there was also bikes on display.

As a petrolhead I've always dreamed about finding a classic car hidden for years in an old barn or shed. And that is what is called "Barn find".
My latest build showcases two car-hunters discovering a classic Bugatti Type 35 Grand Prix in a barn. Close to the blue machine you can see the old farmer with his dog showing the treasure, even if he doesn't know its real value. And the french beauty looks really in shape.
The Bugatti Type 35 was the most successful of the Bugatti racing models, the famous "pur sang". Introduced at the Grand Prix of Lyon on August 3, 1924 the Type 35 was phenomenally successful, winning over 1,000 races in its time.
A couple of day ago a 1925 model has been sold for over €1.4 million at the Artcurial auction in Paris.

My final post from this super event, it was great to see the cars back after the cancellation in 2021 due to Covid. Let’s hope we have no further disruptions and other organised events can get under way in the coming months…they have been sorely missed, especially by us photographers!

Tour to Grossglockner: lots of snow even in May, was an epic trip. And the BMW Z1 is just looking gorgeous.
I have posted about this Lamborghini Aventador as the owner's wedding car. I think it would be awesome to repost it again with its beautiful Kahn rims.

This canvas by Banksy was part of Brian Haw's anti-war protest in Parliament Square. The placards once stretched the entire length of the square, but were removed in a police swoop on 23rd May 2006. He had kept a continuous vigil since June 2001.
Jan 07 - The protest has been reproduced in an installation by Mark Wallinger at Tate Britain, entitled "State Britain". Part of the Tate is within the 1km exclusion zone, and this has been demarcated by a line on the gallery's floor.
