El Peñón del Cuervo forma parte del complejo kárstico de El Candado-La Araña, en la zona peri-urbana más oriental de la ciudad de Málaga. Una gran roca en el mar divide la zona de playa, dando nombre a este emplazamiento, todo un icono de las playas malagueñas, y que forma parte del paisaje contemplado desde la carretera. Con 350 metros de longitud y una anchura media de 25 m, esta formación sedimentaria de arenas oscuras de origen volcánico dividida por el roquedo del Peñón del Cuervo, constituye un enclave natural de destacado valor ecológico y paisajístico que enriquece este espacio natural del litoral oriental malagueño. Queda integrado en Los Cantales de la playa de la Araña y Peñón del Cuervo, y aquí se localiza una planta endémica: la siempreviva malagueña (Limonium malacitanum). Además, esta zona forma parte del yacimiento arqueológico Complejo de cuevas, covachas y abrigos Prehistóricos de La Araña y de las Playas Fósiles de La Araña, y por tanto un testigo de los cambios del nivel marino del Mediterráneo.

This week's theme for Mosaic Montage Monday was Very Peri - Pantone's Color of the Year for 2022. It is one of those colors that works well in the background or in the shadows as it symbiotically brings out the beauty in other colors and other colors bring out the beauty in it. By itself, Very Peri is a calming color yet it has a slight bit of electricity in the right light. Who knows how 2022 will play out and I'm happy Pantone created Very Peri to take us forward.

Llyn Padarn is a glacially formed lake in Snowdonia, Gwynedd, north Wales, and is an example of a moraine dammed lake. The lake is approximately 2 miles long and at its deepest point is 94 feet deep, and is one of the largest natural lakes in Wales. At its south-eastern end it is linked to the neighbouring Llyn Peris.

First time I’ve wandered up by the slate mine, must go back!

NAME OF RIVER: Nant Peris.

WHERE IS IT?:Draining right from Pen y Pass near Snowdon in Snowdonia, it follows the Pen y Pass road.

PUT-INS/ TAKE-OUTS: Get on after Pont y Cromlech bridge above Cromlech Boulders (Ask any miserable looking climbers in the 'Heights' at Llanberis). See below for the getout in Gwastadnant village.

APPROX LENGTH: 3-4 km.

TIME NEEDED: Unknown.

ACCESS HASSLES: No problems known.

WATER LEVEL INDICATORS: Lots of intense rain is required, not the usual steady week that gets the others going. A summer's thunderstorm is the best bet. I've only boated it in the summer, and this appears the norm.

The water level is rather crucial for this little stream. Usually its dry, but if everythings awash it's worth a look. If the Nantygwyryd is running there's hope. Too little water and you'll pin and break things. If you might have difficulty getting under any of the bridges then get in the mood for some hair if you run the top 200m.

GRADING: 5 or harder.

MAJOR HAZARDS/ FALLS: Steeeep. It is rather steep, in fact very steep for the first 200m. It so rarely has water that all the rocks haven't been eroded significantly, and will therefore cause you great discomfort if you come into contact with them.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Now the river. It's quite inspiring to paddle, cos unlike the murky brown mess that is Welsh boating, the Peris runs irridescent blue. The first 200m can get a little hairy, but basically follows a left hand bend through a jumble of nasty sharp chokestones. Swimming is bad, although has been survived, with knee injury. Pinning can also be expected.

The next km or so is beautiful continuous water, and will be a breeze after what's been before.

Once the trees close in and drystone walls line the river be careful, as a wire needs to be portaged. Get out shortly after, river right, where a path leads from the car park in the village before the lake.

Nant Peris.

The Church is in the village Nant Peris, North Wales.

It is a Grade 11, listed building.

The east window was a gift from John Christophert Lloyd Williams in 1926 and was designed by W.Aikman.

This is Llyn Nant Peris in Gwynedd North Wales on a Misty morning. The disused slate quarry on the right is now home to a hydro-electric power station (Electric Mountain).

Is fedup because she wanted the chartreuse, grey and red ones, not the boring grey ones. The Chartreuse ones were meant for her, but I made them too big. They fit Peri nicely though. The grey ones actually look bigger, but only in height... she has fat feet. Ha.

Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales, at an elevation of 1,085 metres above sea level, and the highest point in the British Isles outside the Scottish Highlands. It is located in Snowdonia National Park in Gwynedd, and has been described as - probably the busiest mountain in Britain. It is designated as a national nature reserve for its rare flora and fauna.

Llyn Peris is a lake in Snowdonia, Wales, approximately 1.8 km long and situated close to the villages of Llanberis and Nant Peris.

Im quite excited to start posting photos I managed to take whilst on a recent family holiday to Wales! It was a very wet ️️️ week and this will be very much reflected inmy shots! The heaviest downpours always seemed to coincide with the times I got some free time to go out and shoot… but I enjoy the challenge of just dealing with whatever conditions im thrown. I seen this scene after we visited the National Slate Museum… waiting at traffic lights I just seen this scene so had to park the car and run back and grab it hand held! Thankfully ive a more than understanding family! 😂😂
