Inspired by the theme #Wabi-Sabi for Macro Mondays even if this is an old photo.(Wabi-Sabi: The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete".)
As more and more of the campus gives way to much needed car parks there's still the odd pocket of colour to brighten the day in Covid times. The flower is past its best but was drawn by the touch of gold at the end of the stamens.

i will keep my account to still keep in touch with all of my friends & their streams of life & inspiration. i will no longer be posting photos though. this one will stay considering it is the epitome of my love of flickr and i felt bad pulling it when it was chosen by the awesome people here <3

this is why photography is so intriguing to me. why it fills me up. it is the single moment when all falls into place and is captured. looking back on this day, if she had not been in her gown and the sun didn't fall just perfectly, or the rain didn't shower... her shadow would not have made a heart... happy moments & shutter clicks...

Small lake south of Primrose on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. A totally random beautiful place along the road from Anchorage to Seward - which has lots and lots of beautiful places. Geotag is perfectly precise, however.

The Falkirk Wheel is a unique boat lift in the world. It replaces a series of 11 locks linking the canals from Glasgow to Edinburgh. The Falkirk rotary lift has a diameter of 35 metres and lowers or raises ships to a height of 25 metres. A set of double doors allows the boat to enter on one side and to leave on the other side. The wheel turns the two caissons, each weighing 300 tonnes, while the gearing system keeps them perfectly horizontal.

The small town of Eutin is surrounded by a number of lakes of the Holsteinische Schweiz, including the Großer Eutiner See, Kleiner Eutiner See, Kellersee and Ukleisee. Many of the lakes are surrounded by forests.
On this July night, the last rain clouds disappear and a dream comes to light on the shores of the large Eutin Lake. The city is perfectly reflected in the calm water surface.

Millaa Millaa Falls are magnificent waterfalls surrounded by lush rainforest located on the Waterfalls Circuit, along with Zillie and Ellinjaa Falls. The falls cascade perfectly to a pristine waterhole below where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the cool water.

I had noticed these growing in a garden in our neighbourhood a month or so ago. I noticed they had flowered this week. I have not seen or photographed these before so thought they would be a good choice to finish my 100 Flowers Project with.
The first snow of winter had arrived on the distant Cairngorms but there was no wind to ruffle the surface of Loch Pityoulish.
Though 'Common' is part of its name, that doesn't mean that this dragonfly isn't beautiful and full of amazing details and color.
This one is clinging to the seeds of our Yellow Loosestrife plant and is posing perfectly for me :)

This are just some nice shadows I saw in Luzern at the Vierwaldstättersee around noon. I liked how they lined up almost perfectly. I took this on my small Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ101 at 9.1 mm, f/6.3, 1/800 s, ISO 125.
The long shadow and warm light capture a moment of quiet anticipation. The lone bicycle rests by the empty rock, waiting for a friend to join it, while the wooden bench invites a moment of rest. It perfectly captures the stillness right after the workday ends. Before the area fills up again tomorrow, the city takes a deep breath.
