Shy male Pyrrhuloxia pausing for a moment.
BTW: It has no common name of which I'm aware. Also, no matter how I attempt to pronounce the name, I get it wrong.
Common and abundant.
Last of the days colors as the moon peeks over the mountains. Thanks for looking and may your weekend be good.

They may be an invasive species, but these phragmites sure do look pretty as the rising morning sun peaks through them. Unfortunately, even though they look beautiful, phragmites dominate the landscape around southern Ontario, as they choke out other native plant species.
This little one spent a lot of time in our garden
this summer polishing off fruit from the plum tree,
while trying to hide from me :)
Enjoy your weekend everyone,
only seven more sleeps !

I was in the woods taking a break and heard some rustling near me. I looked and this little Chipmunk kept poking his head out of the brush scoping things out.
I stood on my tiptoes and peeked in the window of the old Liberty school. Steps were provided in case the little one-room schoolhouse was closed, so I had a great view back in time. It looked as if the teacher had just told the students to grab their coats and go outside for a romp in the snow to burn off a little energy! If you look closely, you can see the photographer reflected in the glass covering the map on the opposite wall….
This lovey robin was singing away and I very much enjoyed his beautiful song.
Many thanks for all the kind comments and faves and apologies for lack of reciprocation. Look forward to catching up now.
I was killing time when the sun just popped through a break in the fog literally for a couple of minutes and then disappeared again for hours. I was ready!
A female or possibly a young male peeking back at me as it is eyeing a Butterfly bush flower to drink nectar. It is putting on weight to prepare for a flight over the Gulf of Mexico from Illinois for the upcoming winter.
Another Mike shot!!! At first we were going to delete it, but the more I looked at it, the more I liked it. SOOC except for frame and copyright!!!
Hope you ALL have a FAB Friday!!!!!!
Looking at a portion of Peyto Lake thru a boulder portal. I wanted a different perspective from the common one. I was pleased to find this viewpoint. A few more below.
