This month I experienced a lightning strike in the backyard, and earthquake, and a hurricane! This is the first pattern in the series of "Natural Disasters" patterns I'm planning. Although, I might change that to "Forces of Nature" instead, because things really weren't that disastrous.
I have sketches done for the other 2 patterns, so I might instagram them & upload them a little later.
This one was inspired by pictures of the Chrysler Building in New York. I think shading is mandatory to get it to work and not look too busy. Keep your domes tall and their sides straight for best results. I wasn't careful with my zigzag lines if you were wondering...
Chop Chop pattern.
It doesn't really matter if the 'curves' and 'triangles' are not the same size. The only important thing is that they line up - row by row.
It reminds me of a choppy sea but then again I see a flock of seagulls :)

I spent a few days in downtown Los Angeles and photographed something other than bugs and flowers. There was so much construction going on, everywhere I walked.
