... for the weekend - TGIF!

European Robin / Rotkehlchen (Erithacus rubecula)

in our garden - Frankfurt-Nordend

for the ice to melt ... (Or shall I say impatiently waiting)? lol

Not all of our ponds or lakes have melted yet, but the days are warming and spring's definitely on the way.

Thank you for viewing and for leaving me a comment! Have a wonderful day!

This chickadee had its eye on a snag that had several potential nesting cavities. Then, another chickadee flew into one of the cavities which made me wonder if they were building a nest. I stayed for a moment to see what would happen, but neither chickdee moved. Not wanting to disturb them, I took off. I returned a few days later, but I didn't see them.

Thank you for viewing and for leaving me a comment! Have a great day and week!

Coyote in Yellowstone National Park sitting on a frozen river with some open water. When they see a fish, they start jumping up and down and splashing the water. Don't know if they ever catch a fish, but fun to watch.

Adult female European Robin [Erithacus rubecula]

At The Pixies, yesterday, waiting for a slot to come down and get some nuts/seeds.

It seems that this area is part of the robin’s territory, but the other wee birds are much less timid, and there are many, many more of them. Always great to see this wee sweetie...Maybe, because of all the recent snow, she needs a wee supplement to her insect diet.

I hope Winter will return soon.

Egyptian vulture waiting patiently for the griffon vultures to finish eating.

Common Gallinules eat vegetation, seeds, snails, and insects. They pick sedge, grass, pondweed, duckweed, and flower seeds (shown here) from the water surface or just below the surface.

Just after this was taken, we saw this Hen protecting her little ones from the rainstorm that came through. They all huddled underneath her while she spread her wings to shield them.

They were just so ugly and cute at the same time......

Look at those little forming wings with spurs....

Thanks for taking a look.

Have a great Tuesday !

Come on taste me as I am

You will see my hole

Come on take me as I am

I will take you

I am the feelings that I feel

The darkness in my hands is bound

To the fate which I’ve been chosen for

To keep it all inside

Egret catches a meal near Dewey Beach, Delaware, USA

Never work with animals or children, they said... but they didnt have Azizi. From a very young age, he knows to pose when I have my camera. He gives me several seconds rather than nano seconds (the typical behaviours of my other Lesser Tenrecs!!). But I guess it means that of my 6 Tenrecs, I bring him out to photograph the most!!

This image made it as my choice of acrylic for my bathroom. Hope you like it. Tomorrow I will talk about how they really prefer to bathe!! (no water came into contact with my beautiful boy).

After 2 landscapes posted, I think we all agree it's time to also have a cat picture :)

“I’ll wait patiently my love

Until the day finally comes

Where our eyes finally meet

Within them, they’ll inflame,

like the burning Sun.

Until the day finally comes

I’ll wait patiently my love

When our hands finally grace

and intertwine within each others

Grounding roots into the earth

And together we’ll grow as one

I’ll wait patiently my love

As the moon awaits the sun

And the sun awaits the moon

Our love is never-ending

And always beginning anew

With each and everyday

I’ll wait patiently my love

Until the day I finally meet you” ~Christina Jackson

I had 15 that eclosed today... sadly one had to be euthanized... but still waiting for this one to enter the world! I spritzed it with water hoping this would help, but so far, still closed up tightly... which is very strange....

Fingers crossed this one is healthy.... bringing my total to date to: 447

A couple of oxen waiting for their turn in the spot-light at an open-air theatre performance. You don't really get just how big they are in this shot - just keep in mind that they are standing next to a two-storey building...

London Pride 2016 - A small crowd gathering early and waiting patiently for the parade to start and pass them by.

This female blackcap caught quite a few bugs as I watched and was eating them all straight away so, I'm guessing she does'nt have young to raise? I could be wrong tho.

On this day I saw just about everything; Barn owl, two kingfishers, green woodpeckers, mergansers, Grasshopper warblers and many more... Of course I didn't get any good photos of those but I got this one and that was good enough : )

I've put out the bird feeders underneath my backporch awning. It's been very busy with the birds coming and going with the colder weather now. Today I was able to get a photo of a White-breasted Nuthatch waiting patiently and sitting on a lilac branch right outside my window.

Hopefully I will be able to get more photos of the birds that frequent my feeders.

Few of the filters I used are from Photoshop 2025.

I have a jar of these beautiful star anise in my spice cupboard that also have the most glorious scent. Unfortunately, I never seem to need them for recipes, so this one is patiently waiting for the day when it can shine.

Very difficult to focus with macro lens without tripod,

you can but you must stay back about a foot.

Perché aspetti con impazienza le cose? Se sono inutili per la tua vita, inutile è anche aspettarle. Se sono necessarie, loro verranno e verranno nel momento giusto.

Why do you wait impatiently for things? If they are useless for your life, it is useless to wait for them too. If they are necessary, they will come and come at the right time.

...for my baby to get home. ♥

So I made this while waiting to smother her in pent up affection.

the details

tune

"If you be the cash,

I'll be the rubber band

You be the match,

I will be a fuse, boom

Painter baby, you could be the muse

I'm the reporter baby, you could be the news

'Cause you're the cigarette and I'm the smoker

We raise a bet, cause you're the joker

Checked off, you are the chalk

And I can be the blackboard

You could be the talk

And I could be the walk

Even when the sky comes falling

Even when the sun don't shine

I got faith in you and I..."

This beautiful Barred Owl waits patiently along the railroad tracks nearby my home. They know where the mice and voles love to hang out.
