The river knows where to flow, finding a path as it goes. It travels around small islands, over a steep drop, and then carves through a steep gorge on its path downstream. A large mist cloud forms and a rainbow appears.
The water levels were lower and calmer closer to the shoreline and a group of ducks were dabbling. The gulls were busy flying and feeding in the river. It may be cold but there is life on the river. The temperature was -9 Celsius with a windchill around -15 Celsius. A beautiful and sunny winter day was in store. The walking path in this section beside the river was mostly icy. This pathfinder wore a good pair of boots and tread carefully and slowly.

D1015 'Western Champion' disturbs a lingering patch of mist while approaching Worcestershire Parkway on 20th December 2025, heading Pathfinder Railtours very last charter, 'The Pathfinder Finale' 1Z52 0550 Salisbury - Lostock Hall. The company is closing its doors after 52 years of operating charter trains. Fittingly, this last one was headed by 'Western Champion', a locomotive Pathfinder have 'championed' since it returned to traffic in 2002. To Peter and all staff both past and present, well done and thank you for the enjoyment and experiences you have provided over the last half century! Fairly lighthearted Harsh Martian landscape re- creation of the Mars Pathfinder solar powered buggy named Sojourner which was jettisoned from the Pathfinder space craft that landed on Mars, July 4th 1997. HFF and a Happy New Year !.
Dr Henry (Indiana) Jones, the ultimate pathfinder locates the greatest prize of archeology, the Holy Grail, but naturally there are other interested parties! I set this up on my table top using an A4 card bent to resemble a cave. The nuts, I thought resembled boulders and the grail is from a set of two wooden goblets from a charity shop. Lighting was window light which required 2 seconds for my chosen ISO 100.
