Passiflora flowers resemble the tools used in Christ crucifixion. For this reason they are known in some languages as Passion Flower. Their colours vary from white to lilac.

Warren Krupsaw, an american botanical photograph lover, called his photos of these flowers "Passion Portraits".

Thanks a lot everybody for stopping by and for leaving comments and faves, I really appreciate it! :))

This flower has been sitting in my " I'll get back to that later" folder for quite a while. Did some minor adjustments to contrast and saturation and said "I think I can put that in my finished folder" there was something I liked about it but it just wasn't quite there. I know you all know what I'm jabbering about. Anyway this is a small flower that's related to the rose. I just planted them this past Spring so I'm hoping they'll come back. Thank you my friends I always appreciate the faves and of course the comments. Take care, stay safe!

Been missing my Flickr people and time a great deal. Had some consulting work at home writing, so had to stop my Flickr'ing or I would have not written a word. Catch up with people soon as I am finishing the project today.

Passion Flower growing through the fence into a friend's garden.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️

Some of you may wonder why I called this Passion and Purple. The purple is self explanatory because of the color, but the passion part comes from one of the names for this butterfly. It has two common names, Gulf Fritillary and the Passion Butterfly, because like Monarch butterflies the Gulf Fritillary is plant specific when laying their eggs. The Monarch's is Milkweed and the Gulf Fritillary is the Passion Flower vine.

Have a Nice Sunday , my Friends ...
