One of Rock Springs’ original citizens, H.H. Edgar, was mayor of the new community during 1891-1892 and again in 1895-1896.
Edgar was not only mayor, however, he was also the architect of the 1892 bank building.
Edgar chose a late Victorian “Italianate” design for the bank, according to Jennifer Messer, Rock Springs Museum Coordinator.

Rarotonga, Cook Islands
When we visited Rarotonga for the first time back in 2008, I remember being struck by seeing Te Rua Manga (The Needle) and wanting to hike up to visit it, but not having the time. Therefore, it was easy to make sure this time we did it!
The Cross Island Track goes from up-valley Avarua to Papua Waterfall and takes about 3-4 hours. It's a bit sketchy up the top near the Needle so would be bad in wet weather and glad we did not take the kids - too many vertical drop-offs. Awesome views and Te Rua Manga itself is really special. It's an old volcanic plug that has been carved into a face representing the spiritual male energy point of the islands (you can see the face here in the photo on the lower left). It has been blessed by the Dalai Lama.

Paris to Brant Park... a 13km paddle that is very lazy river, but long (5 hrs)!
The Grand River watershed includes swift coldwater trout streams, serene pastoral stretches filled with smallmouth, pike and walleye, and big river fishing for anything from rainbow trout to crappies. In fact, over half of the fish species in Canada are in the Grand River watershed. 9821

Rock Springs is a city in Sweetwater County, Wyoming, United States. The population was 23,036 at the 2010 census. Rock Springs is the principal city of the Rock Springs micropolitan statistical area, which has a population of 37,975. Rock Springs is known as the Home of 56 Nationalities because of the influx of immigrants from all over the world who came to work in the coal mines that supplied the fuel to power the steam engines of the Union Pacific Railroad. The city's rich cultural heritage is celebrated each summer on International Day, a festival where the foods, costumes, and traditions of residents' ancestors are recreated and enjoyed at Bunning Park in downtown Rock Springs.
Although the Packard brothers founded the Warren, Ohio-based Packard Motor Company in 1899, it was Henry B. Joy who guided the company to become one of the world’s foremost luxury car manufacturers. A wealthy Detroiter, Henry Joy
To construct a continuous paved road from New York to San Francisco! He formed the Lincoln Highway Association and recruited Henry B. Joy to be its first president. The idea was not to start building a road in New York and build westward, but rather to enlist the efforts and financing of dozens of cities and towns along the route.
A screenshot of my stop-motion animation about the Second Sino-Japanese War. This screenshot depicts several Chinese soldiers hiding behind a Japanese anti-tank gun where they try to take out one of the ShinHoto tanks. Also some troops used it as cover from the heavy fire from Japanese mashine guns.
The Chinese army both the CCP and the KMT made use of various weapons, including several Japanese weaponry from artillery till rifles and even tanks. All of these weapons were captured and/or stolen by the Chinese since they had a shortage of weapons, but a lot of troops. You can see in my stop-motion about the Second Sino-Japanese War. That the Chinese looked more ragtag than the Japanese as the Chinese used various weapons, including swords and some milltia's used spears.
It has been a while since I uploaded a screenshot of this project and I will love to do that more in the future.
I noticed a while back ago that my brickfilm about the Second Sino-Japanese War might have caused a small intrest of the conflict in the Brickfilm and Lego community here on Flickr. This is not to sound arrogant or something, but there is a possiblity. I think it's odd that after I released my brickfilm that bunch of people did the same some of them are good while others needed some improvements, I am aware that people did Second Sino-Japanese War stuff before I even joined this awesome community, but there weren't a lot of it and now I see them popping up once in a while, wich is good. The Second Sino-Japanese War is kinda overshadowed compared to the pasific theatre and WWII. Some people didn't even know that China was part of the Allies during WWII.

A Japanese officer is overlooking the aftermath of a massacre of Chinese soldiers, with a Type 97 Te-Ke Tankette, during the Second Sino-Japanese War. A military conflict between the Republic of China and the Empire Of Japan that merged with the second world war, the pasific theatre to be more specifically.
The Type 97 was a tankette that was used by the Imperial Japanese Army during the Second Sino-Japanese War, at Nomonhan against the USSR and during the Second World War. It was specifically designed as a fast recon vehicle and was meant to replace the Type 94 Tankette.
Usually the Type 97 were deployed as infantry support where they were often used as armored tractors, supply vehicles or for recon and scouting. They were successfully deployed in China during the Second Sino-Japanese War as the Chinese nationalist army only had three major tank battalions which consisted of various lightweight tanks. Their first real test of combat was seen during the battle of Nomonhan where they were used against the USSR, where they were against the BT-5 and the BT-7.
Following the outbreak of the Second World War, the type 97 was deployed during the Battle Of Malaya and the Battle of the Philippines, because of the light weight of the tank it was able to traverse unsupported bridges and ferry crossings which some heavier tanks were unable to do.
After the war, some of these tanks were used by the Chinese during the civil war As well as captured examples used by both the nationalists and the communists
Overall, I like how this shot turned out.

A member of the Special Naval Landing Forces of the Imperial Japanese Army during the second Sino-Japanese War, entering the city of Shanghai.
The Special Naval Landing Forces (SNLF) were marines of the Imperial Japanese Navy and they were part of the land forces. They saw extensive combat during the Second Sino-Japanese War and the pasific theatre of the Second World War.
Unfortunately this was one of the many scenes cut from my brickfilm about the Second Sino-Japanese War. This was part of a scene where the Special Navy Landing Forces were landing near the harbor of Shanghai. The reason why it was cut was because of the time and because I didn't feel that the uniforms were that acurate. It is also noted that this is the same deleted segment were the drunken sailor made a cameo apparance.
The Naval Landing Force soldier will make a small appearance in my upcomming brickfilm
