Sint Anna ter Muiden is a cute village in Zeeland that with its 50 or so inhabitants competes for being the smallest in the Netherlands. As a harbour connected with Bruges in the middle ages, it was once an important commercial centre. The massive 14th-century gothic church tower (parttime lighthouse) still reminds us of these former days of glory. Lit by the morning sun, in the mountains we could speak of alpenglow, but since there are no mountains in Zeeland, let's keep it to St. Anne's blush. The ancient market place with its late 18th-century water pomp and cobblestones is a remarkable bit of time traveling.

The backyard has several locations with bromeliads in the trees. The large oak that was lost during hurricane Milton had the most. That seemed to be the favorite location for the woodpeckers to go and get a drink. My husband and I have been working on rebuilding "habitat" in that area. I believe it's coming along nicely. The woodpeckers have returned to using this area and can be seen there often throughout the day.
That area is now known as the playpen instead of Oak Two Bed. Three large palms were placed to provide shade and cover. In addition, there are several cedar snags with bromeliads attached, pawpaws that were there and not damaged by the storm, some pentas for the butterflies and lots of milkweed too. We also added a rock that has been turned into a fountain. Eventually, a stream will be added.
Of course, I miss Oak Two for its beauty and habitat. However, the playpen is becoming a magical area. You can see a bit of the rock fountain feature in the previous image. It's a favorite drinking spot for many of the birds including the lovely Blues. We humans are certainly enjoying a closer less obstructed view of the beauties that come to play there as well. This image was taken from the living room window.
I hope everyone has been enjoying their year. It's been a bit crazy but in a good way for me. I came out of retirement to work parttime at the gym I joined. I really couldn't pass up the opportunity when asked to become a fitness instructor for Active Agers. Enough about me, but if anyone was wondering why I haven't been on Flickr, that's it. Spending time developing fitness routines and making sure I know them by heart each week has been a fun but time-consuming challenge.

My sister, literally, picking her son up after work. She decided to work only two days a week to spend more time with him.
I was fascinated by their amazing reactions of seeing each other...sheer bliss!

Once upon a time, long ago, I remember mail carriers were well-paid, full-time employees, whom wore uniforms, and drove official vehicles. Now, with the nationwide budget constraints, the postal service has hired part-time employees driving their own private vehicles loaded with parcels and mail.

Well, this is the picture I showed our lead singer tonight. He said, “hell it’s about time!” “J” said his wife has had a huge hunch since our 2015 Panama City Memorial Day shows. (And he always says I look like a chick when my hair is down. WTH!! So far only “J” and his wife have been told tonight and life goes on.
BTW: I was so nervous about coming out tonight that I bought a nice human hair topper to blend with my natural hair. Getting there! ☮️💜

Somebody just had her first job interview… It’s me, it’s me!!! I could not close the first manager so I am working my backup plan. I made two application copies and dropping them off today at two other locations. My idea is maybe the Cato district manager would hire me as an on call temp for her territory. I truly can’t commit to more the 2-3 days a month so we’ll see. By the way, I’m a trans girl trying to work in a women’s retail clothing store. Imagine that hurdle! Sending so much Love to us all! Let’s bring LOVE Back; right? ☮️💜
Chasing the golden sun yesterday morning before work. It’s a shame I had to change because this comfy dress even has hidden pockets perfect for a phone or keys. Regretfully the transition from pants pockets to a purse has not been as smooth as anticipated. ☮️💜
Don’t mind me. I’m just a girl wearing a t-shirt dress trying to blend into society without any consequences. ☮️💜
I took one of my favorite dresses for a stroll this morning. This weekend I was “closet shopping” to find something nice for Easter. I would love a pretty pastel dress but regretfully I didn’t plan far enough in advance. ☮️❤️😷
I’m just saying…when woman puts on a lot of eye liner and lipstick, she ain’t trying to impress any ladies! 😂
BTW - if anybody is interested in photo composition, I am happy to share. Aside from a few Sony mirrorless captures on tripods, almost all of my pictures have been taken with iPhones and selfie sticks. Last year I upgraded to an iPhone 13 and am a member in a few Facebook iPhone groups to learn more about phone photography.
In front of me is a massive tree planter with two huge spot lights. I actually moved both lights to “bounce” off the trunk to enhance the eyes and complexion. You may note the rear “hair lights” are not perfect, but they do provide a decent amount of halo and subject separation. A better scenario would have been to put something in front of the bottom left rear-light to blank it from distracting the scene.

1.I love books – having them as well as reading them. I only read in English.
2.Making choices is not a talent of mine.
3.I think in this day and age, people can afford to be less selfish towards exploitation of animals.
4.My boyfriend lives a 2 hour drive away.
5.I like furniture and knick-knacks from before the 80’s.
6.I can’t sleep without earplugs.
7.My cats are my babies. I would jump in front of a bullet for them.
8.I can’t stand injustice.
9.In the past I have had many parttime jobs. Being a postman I enjoyed best.
10.I have always been a bit of a tomboy.
11.I think that people who say that there’s never anything interesting on TV just want to present themselves as an interesting character, Anyway, I disagree.
12.I love very dark chocolate.
13.I also love movies, though not the typical Hollywood ones. I watch them as often as possible and visually they inspire me a lot.
14.When I was little I had goldfish. One of them reached the age of 24, when I had to have him put to sleep because of a tumor.
15.People that insist on being politically correct in words bore me.
16.I think I was some kind of comic animated character in a previous life.

p.s. 2. Oh and I forgot one...for years I have wished I was in a band...but i can't play any instrument good enough nor can I sing so it's unlikely that will ever happen.

Part of yesterday’s risky morning included pushing a shopping cart through contractor-filled Home Depot. I was shopping for lighting decor and definitely experienced a healthy dose of fear. I’ll give myself a 75% grade with respect to fear conquering and a 100% for Trans-Girling.

Tomorrow marks 22 months on this slow transition journey. I am traveling next week and I’m not sure I’ll pack much beyond my standard ”andro-wear.” The paradox is our client is a woman owned company who may announce 2019 was their first billion dollar year. I’m looking forward to hugging and congratulating the owner and her daughter Saturday at their awards gala. #girlpower 💜☮️
