Rio Grande GP40-2 No. 3103 leads a quartet of big Southern Pacific EMDs through Sutro Cut near Spanish Fork, Utah on Oct. 23, 1983. The Union Pacific had recently merged with the Missouri Pacific and Western Pacific, giving the D&RGW and SP a renewed freight hauling partnership that lasted until the SP merged with the UP in 1996.

Recentemente una partnership fra CFI e Rail Cargo Italia ha permesso l'istituzione di due nuovi servizi commerciali per il trasporto di prodotti siderurgici fra gli stabilimenti Arvedi di Cava Tigozzi ed i porti di Marghera e La Spezia mediante casse intermodali speciali.
Il due convogli, coperti da una locomotiva dell'impresa laziale, si alternano quotidianamente sui due percorsi con una staffetta fra il personale delle due imprese.
In questo caso ecco la E189.408 mentre discende verso la bassa bresciana lungo la linea per Cremona al traino del convoglio RCI da Venenezia nei pressi di Pontevico. (18/1/13)
Recently the partnership between Compagnia Ferroviaria Italiana and Rail Cargo Italia allows the creation of two new regular services from the Arvedi foundry in Cava Tigozzi and the harbours of Venice Marghera and La Spezia.
The same train, generally led by a CFI lok, ensures a daily shuttle service using the personnel of the two companies.
Here the Br189.408 is running near Pontevico, on the Brescia-Cremona single track line, with the RCI train from Venice. (2013-1-18)

Continuum South Beach are two residential skyscrapers located in Miami Beach, Florida's South Beach. They are both located directly in the southern extremity of the city, overlooking Government Cut.
The South Tower, which opened in 2002, is 471 ft. tall and has 40 floors.
The North Tower, which opened in 2008, is 412 ft. tall has 37 floors.
Both towers were developed by Ian Bruce Eichner's, The Continuum Company, LLC. and designed by architects, Sieger Suarez Architectural Partnership, Inc. and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP.

Lime launches e-bike rental scheme in Nottingham. Leading ride-sharing firm Lime has launched a fleet of its latest Gen4 e-bikes in Nottingham as part of a new partnership with Nottingham City Council.
A fleet of up to 700 Gen4 e-bikes are now available to hire on a pay-as-you-go basis from virtual parking bays across the city.
The e-bikes can be rented through the Lime app, costing £1 to unlock and then 17p per minute. The e-bikes will only work within the Nottingham City Council boundary. All of the bikes in Nottingham will feature stickers on their baskets reminding users to park them in designated areas.
The e-bike and e-scooter rental firm says it will offer 50 per cent off the cost of e-bike rides for lower income residents via its Lime Access programme, which gives eligible riders unlimited discounts with Lime.

50 Biscayne is a fifty-seven story skyscraper condo located in the Central Business District of Downtown Miami, Florida, United States. As its name implies, the tower is located at the address of 50 Biscayne Boulevard in between Flagler and Northeast 1st Streets. The size and stature of 50 Biscayne conceives a significant part of the Biscayne Wall, which is a series of buildings and parks stretching along the picturesque Biscayne Bay.
The tower is 554 feet (169 m) tall and the main lobby consists of three stories, followed by the Park Suites, which are condos customly furnished by the Rockwell Group, on floors 4 through 9. The two story tenth and twelfth floors contain hotel-esque amenities available to the tower's residents. Ascending floors contain all condos.

Proyectada por el estudio de arquitectura Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, en colaboración con Caputo partnership y Sistema Duemila, ganadores del concurso internacional convocado en el 2004 por el gobierno regional de Lombardía. La nueva sede de la Región– “La Otra Sede” – se realiza en el barrio de Garibaldi-Repubblica. El proyecto atiende a tres objetivos: proporcionar espacios de oficina y de apoyo para los departamentos gubernamentales, flexibles y de fácil acceso para el público; en segundo lugar, aportar lugares de reunión al aire libre junto con instalaciones culturales auxiliares que mejoran la vida pública y estimulan la regeneración del barrio, y tercero, ejemplificar las prácticas de construcción verde más avanzadas tanto en el diseño como en la construcción. Se compone de una Torre de oficinas de 160 metros de altura, un conjunto de edificios de oficinas de 38 metros de altura, plaza central cubierta, auditorio de usos múltiples, espacio para exposiciones, restaurante, parque público lineal, además de equipamientos públicos y aparcamiento subterráneo
La trama generadora de los espacio destinados a oficina es lineal, con 14 metros de ancho y siete a nueve pisos de altura, para optimizar su eficiencia y flexibilidad. Su forma deriva de la intersección de 22 círculos y consta de 11 anillos circulares idénticas. Su pequeña escala propicia la relacionan con los barrios residenciales adyacentes, pero también permite la erección de una esbelta torre, formada por la intersección de dos fragmentos curvados, para destacar de manera icónica la nueva sede del gobierno en el horizonte de Milán. La matriz curvilínea permite espacios públicos abiertos interconectados, invitando al paseo y la reunión a nivel de calle. El mayor espacio, la Piazza Città di Lombardia, está protegido por un techo compuesto de placas transparentes de ETFE. A nivel del suelo, las hebras entretejidas están ocupadas por accesos, servicios, y diversas instalaciones culturales destinadas a animar los espacios públicos, y promover la interacción social.
El Conjunto está diseñado para el máximo aprovechamiento de la naturaleza: techos verdes y fachadas con clima activo, formadas por dos capas de vidrio, separadas un metro, con lamas verticales rotativas para dar sombra, al tiempo que maximiza la transparencia de la envolvente, reduciendo al mínimo el uso de la luz artificial en los espacios de trabajo. La energía necesaria para la calefacción en invierno y refrigeración en verano está suministrada por un sistema de bomba de calor geotérmica que aprovecha el potencial de intercambio de calor de un cercano río subterráneo. Por último, las células fotovoltaicas se laminan en los paneles de vidrio de las fachadas al sur de la torre.
