My last day at work before the Xmas break was sunny so I went to the park at lunchtime. As always there were plenty of squirrels searching for food.
The estate around the castle is about 130 hectares. The park of Groeneveld castle was built in the Dutch Baroque style, which is characterized by strict geometric shapes and impressive driveways.
When the English landscape style took off in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, the park was transformed. Water features, hills, winding paths and trees were created.
An ice cellar was also constructed. It still exists and is now inhabited by big-eared bats.

Te Awamutu War Memorial Park
The War Memorial Park is the largest and most popular park in town. Built around the Mangahoe Stream, the park includes a duck pond, fountain, playground, paved walks, open spaces for picnicking and events, and a "sunken cross" memorial feature
Wörlitzer Park (1740-1817)
Der Wörlitzer Park wurde von Fürst Leopold III. Friedrich Franz von Anhalt-Dessau (1740–1817) geschaffen wurde. Der Park wurde am Wörlitzer See, einem Seitenarm der Elbe, angelegt. Er erstreckt sich über eine Fläche von 112,5 Hektar. Der Park hat jährlich über eine Million Besucher.
Brook Park
Park in Te Kuiti, New Zealand
Brook Park is one of the most significant reserves within the district and provides a leisure reserve for resident and visitors as well as protects the community's heritage.
The Park is situated on the north western boundary of the Te Kuiti township. The many exotic trees form an umbrella over the hillside, creating an Autumn display of colour and an attractive entrance to Te Kuiti.
From the top, an impressive plateau, it is possible to contemplate the entire city of Rio and its surroundings – it is possible to see the Sugar Loaf, Christ the Redeemer, the beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema, São Conrado and Barra da Tijuca, and even the mountains of Serra of the Organs. It's an unforgettable sight!

The "Park Bridge" provides cyclists and pedestrians with a safe, quick crossing of one of Antwerp's busiest traffic arteries.
Located at the end of long, wide walkway lined by Spanish Moss-laden Oak trees, the fountain in Forsyth Park dates to 1858, and is one of the best known sights in Savannah, Georgia. And, it is surrounded by a circular fence. :-)

Went out on this lovely winter evening ... feeling more like Spring with temperatures near 60 degrees F. Of course they are calling for potential measurable snow again by Friday here ... we'll see.
Been wanting to take some captures at the relatively new park along Middle River, called Wilson Point Park. Nice boardwalk along the river, with some neat structures around too. Had some fun with them here in the blue hour.
