The stream follows the flow of water coming down from the alpine lakes and glaciers, the farm road accompanies the path of the shepherd and the herd of cows to the pastures and back to the valley, after the summer at high altitude in the fresh air.
Natural water paths alongside man-made paths, the cows will return to the barn with the shepherd, and we men will finish our happy days back to the cities .... two parallel journeys, with many similarities that make us think and reflect.

The Haight-Ashbury District is a popular destination for tourists when visiting San Francisco. Interestingly, they don't often like what they see. Here, the look on the faces of that family seem to be fraught with disapproval as they pass by a couple of locals enjoying a corner conversation on a lovely San Francisco morning. I remember watching how tightly dad clenched his daughter's hand as they hurried by almost walking in the street to avoid contact. Every picture tells a story.

Newport Beach and Pier taken from Balboa Pier. The high midday sun left almost every beach swimmer a silhouette. I meant to do that! Haha actually I'm still trying to figure out the physics of how this happened. The only thing I can think of is the angle from which I took the photo and the light (Sun) reflecting off the sand/water provided the backlight. HSS!

A plethora of parallel lines stretch to a common vanishing point, clearly visible to each other but never intersecting. Pure parallelism on display. A nice metaphor for our current human condition.

I've been drawn to a vantage point in our backyard mountain numerous times to watch this sun rays. Each time when ocean moisture engulfed an omnipresent redwood forest, as clouds parted, warm golden rays often skimmed across the mountainscape to delineate mountain ridges and trees with vivid colors of parallel rays. This shot was taken in an impromptu excursion to the vantage point and the scenery last only for a short moment.
