Parallel 3D pair taken by the Dual EOS 3D camera that I cobbled together. This shot was taken with twin 50mm f/1.8 lenses at around 180mm (7in) separation.

Today has been a lazy day. Much needed lazy day at that, after a manic week. The weather is horrendous today - gale force winds and rain, so the last thing we wanted to do was venture out. So a day catching up on TV and watching films it is!
These colourful candles were right at the back of my kitchen draw and were perfect for todays challenge :o)

Avec l'avènement des supports numériques de conservation des données, toujours plus périssables, notre mémoire se virtualise et devient elle aussi plus éphémère.
A parallèle, dans une société de la fabrication en série, l’apparition de lieux de production collaboratifs applés FabLab, équipés de d’outils de production nouvelle génération, démocratisent la fabrication d’objets. Dans ce contexte de grande évolution des pratiques quelles traces laisserons nous dans 2000 ans ? Quels messages enverrons aux archéologues et historiens du futur ? Que restera-t-il de nos objets quotidiens ?
Pour aborder ces questions, Design The Future Now propose un stage à destination d’un groupe d’adolescents (à partir de 11 ans), intitulé Archéologies du Futur ainsi que 2 ateliers "bac à sable" d'initiation aux pratiques fablab à destination du grand public.
Le projet Archéologies du Futur, pose la question des usages de nos objets quotidiens et de leur évolution au fil du temps. Il interroge notre lien aux objets, à leur consommation, aux évolutions au fil des modes. Il questionne également notre lien aux vestiges du passé et ce que ceux-ci disent de notre société, de notre rapport au monde et aux autres.
'cos the weird thing is I was able to in the pas - I have a Parallels Vista image using a pre-release (RC2) of Vista, but on the full version it's giving me this. Is there a difference in the hardware requirements between RC2 and Vista Business (the version I'm trying to upgrade from XP SP2 to)
This is my first test of parallels workstation on my laptop in Windows, running a liveCD of Ubuntu Dapper Drake 6.06 LTS for i386. PW is pretty awesome, I have to admit.
I could do with a bit more RAM though (I've only 512 mb in total on my laptop with 32-64 mb of it going to video). The configuration I'm currently using uses 220 mb for the virtual PC - which is fairly reasonable, considering all I'm really doing is splitting the memory between the two OSes.
