This was my first time to Pismo Beach in California and I came away pleasantly surprised on how much I really enjoyed it. It didn't hurt that I got this glorious sunset over the Pismo Pier. I must have shot a hundred frames from just about every angle here. This particular one was a long exposure just after the light poles came on. I wanted to get a nice blurring of the Pacific Ocean waves in contrast to the still sturdy pier. I will definitely have a few more to share as the light changed throughout the evening. It's crazy that I made it through the desert, over mountains, and down the coast and it wasn't till I got home that I dropped my 24-70 lens and not it won't focus correctly. I'm going to take it in to a repair shop at the end of the week in hopes that they can fix it. Wish me luck. Hope you enjoy this image.

Mount Rainier is a massive stratovolcano located 54 miles southeast of Seattle, United States. It is the most prominent mountain in the contiguous United States and the Cascade Volcanic Arc, with a summit elevation of 14,411 feet Mt. Rainier is considered one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world, and it is on the Decade Volcano list. Because of its large amount of glacial ice, Mt. Rainier could potentially produce massive lahars that would threaten the whole Puyallup River valley.

This lake is only available on the north side. On three sides it is surrounded by the Alps. It reaches a depth of 68 m and lies on the highest part of the canton.
The lake is encircled by rocky outcrops, meadows and pastures, which make for a peaceful paradise for outdoor enthusiasts.
