Macro Mondays - Paper.
Both the crane and the flower are from a lovely Origami bouquet that a good friend made for me.
Speedlight with reflector bowl and grid, front left - silver reflector below and right.
2.5 inches in greatest dimension.
It’s about time I uploaded one of my collages. I’ve been traveling after graduating university, and have not really had the energy to create a thought out montage. I’m coming back slowly, creating new scenes. This is one of my recent creations using 26 photographs from my images I used for my Dream Garden Project. Perhaps they will lead to another exhibition.
This is a symbolic visual representation of crossing one of many "life's bridges"
My thoughts and prayers for those who are affected.
Check this out if you have time: 1000 Cranes for Japan.
My paper crane arrived yesterday :-))
This is part of a project by Eshu ( the paper crane project) where she has made 1000 cranes and posted them around the world.

Jackie created several cranes for the 1000 Cranes for Japan group. This is the first one; our contribution to the virtual chain.
For Macro Mondays theme "Corner" ... origami has many corners, creases, and folds.
An alternative, more standard paper crane shot is in the comments. I liked the negative space in this one.
Todays my 18th birthday. And the day of my senior prom. =] i thought this photo sort of fit.
p.s. Courtney made the crane!
A scene from Fushimi Inari-taisha in Kyoto, Japan, a Shinto shrine dedicated to Inari (the god of rice), showing strings of paper cranes to bring good luck and long life, and wooden plaques (ema) with written wishes.

"There's a house we can build
Every room inside is filled
With things from far away
The special things I compile
Each one there to make you smile
On a rainy day"

Found an old origami crane hanging around the house today and figured it would make for a decent photo of the day.
Turns out I forgot to account for the wind and the cat and I ended up turning a very simple photo into hard mode.
Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Just a little fun with the puddles that the rain left behind, I had a different vision for how this would be shot, but none of the puddles were where I was hoping they'd be and as a result the background isn't quite up to standards, but that's okay just it just adds variety.
Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

I don't really like this one as much as the others in the series, but I just felt like posting it anyways.

ello everyone (: for today's 365 i don't think there's really a message,
it's more of an inspiration from spectacular people on Flickr.

but if you want it off, you can absolutely tell me and i'll take it off right away.

but all in all, it was a fun process (:
i realize today's 365 is a bit different from my usual kind of photos,
but i just wanted to try a different kind of style of editing today,
hope you guys like it !
im really bad at keeping photos up.
this was really, incredibly hard to do. i had my really heavy film camera up on my tripod - almost fully extended - which was stood up on my desk, bed, and little white drawer thing which were each several feet off the ground. the camera itself ended up being about a foot from the ceiling. if that camera had gotten off balance, well, i dont know. xP
