A northern mockingbird photographed in my front yard in a palm tree by my picture window. The bird sang for me for three consecutive days. The shot was taken in partial shade.
The northern mockingbird (Mimus polyglottos) is the only mockingbird commonly found in North America. This bird is mainly a permanent resident, but northern birds may move south during harsh weather.
The northern mockingbird is known for its mimicking ability, as reflected by the meaning of its scientific name, "many-tongued mimic".
The northern mockingbird is an omnivore. It eats both insects and fruits. It is often found in open areas and forest edges but forages in grassy land.
The northern mockingbird is listed as of Least Concern according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). – Wikipedia

This palm tree we bought in a vase 10 years ago and plant it in my father in laught farm and now is so big. Wish it to be in future like the palmtrees of Marroco.
Because I can't drive, I'm always on foot in Diano Marina on the Italian Riviera. Recently, I was looking for worthwhile motifs on my way home. This combination of nature and technology appeals to me.

My dearest friends on Flickr,
I'll be away for about a month...
I'll be travelling on the beautiful seas.
I'll visit your photo-streams when I'll return and I'll catch up then...
All the best,
Vicky
Well the weather people did say sand from the Sahara would give some splendid sunrises and sunsets and this one did not disappoint ! Knowing there was a palm tree at this point and looking into the sunset allowed some exotic silhouettes I was pleased to have got this shot .

Picturesque framing of a legendary Doum-Palm.
An African palm tree 'Hyphaene thebaica' also called 'gingerbread tree', one of the most important useful plants in the world well known for its therapeutic benefits.
Doum-palm was considered sacred by the ancient Egyptians, and the seed was found in some pharaoh's tombs.
A wild plant widespread in the south of Egypt and many African countries. In ancient Egypt, every Egyptian of standing would have had these trees growing in his garden.
