Somehow I don't think the surface of Mars looks quite like this? Booley Bay near Duncannon today. Fun playing with the Painteresque app on my iPhone HSS & HMMM!

HSS! An iPhone5 image I twiddled about with using Painteresque App

Wouldn't it be wonderful if wild Foxgloves came in a colour other than pink? HSS!

The view out of Quinlan's fish & chip shop window. It was raining hard & I was glad to be sat inside enjoying pan-fried Brill, chips & salad. Their fishmonger sells fresh locally caught fish & shellfish. You can see a net of Mussels in the cabinet.

Various textures and apps used to process this image, such as Stackables, Distressedfx, and Painteresque.

A reworking of a photo I took of a Honey bee on a Lupin flower using my Canon G11 (see below in comments). I coped the original image to my iPhone5 & tweaked it using the Painteresque App. HTT!

This unusual cloud formation caught my eye as I was shutting the hens away on Wednesday night. An iPhone5 image run through Painteresque & Distressed FX apps HSS & HTT! See comments below for the original image.

Today's image was taken in Abbey Fields park in Kenilworth. The picture is of a Barn. It is one the last remaining buildings of the medieval Abbey of St Mary. The Barn could have been used as either a grain store, a fish house of even a brew house.

The photo was taken using the app VividHDR on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Handy Photo to edit the picture. I cloned away the telephone pole to the left side of the Barn and the sign from the right front of the building. Next I used Painteresque to add the Painteresque 2 paint preset. After this I used DistressedFX to add the Stirred overlay and the Vanilla texture. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Tone Preset, the Drama FX, a medium dark vignette. I then added the Canvas texture and the Antique frame.

On my desk, taken with iPhone X Max and processed with Painteresque.

Today's image was taken in the Abbey Fields park in Kenilworth, just near to Kenilworth Castle. The view is looking out across the lake with the trees of the park reflecting in it.

The photo was taken using the app VividHDR on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Snapseed to edit the picture. I cropped and straightened the image, then applied the Tonal Contrast preset. I decreased the highlights and then boosted the saturation, contrast and ambiance. Next I used the app Painteresque to apply a custom version of the Painteresque 2 preset. After this I used the app Stackables to add the Twilight II formula. Finally I used PhotoToaster to apply the Backlit preset, the Vibrant FX and a medium dark vignette. I then added the Stucco texture and the Shadow II frame.

For the group ‘Looking Close.....On Friday”, the challenge was ‘Selfie In Reflection’.

I had my first camera over fifty years ago. I’ve found it very useful for hiding behind ever since. Despite loving photography, I don’t like having my photograph taken. So this photograph is a selfie that’s as good as it’s going to get on Flickr. I took this one in Bahrain when visiting my lovely sister and niece. I was wandering the grounds of a very posh hotel that had done its best to get ready for Christmas. Think baubles, tinsel and plastic red berries in the heat and humidity. Processed in Painteresque.

Pretty Ivy-leaved Toadflax growing on a shop wall. An iPhone5 image taken for Growing in the Gaps group, edited using the Painteresque app

California has some beautiful wineries that come into color around the holidays. I made this a little painterly.

Today's image was taken at the Abbey Fields park near to Kenilworth Castle. The view is looking across the lake to the trees that boarder the overflow stream. I liked the reflection of these trees in the rippling lake.

The photo was taken using the app ExposerGL on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Lightroom Mobile to edit the photo. I straightened the image, then I applied the Dynamic colour preset. I also changed the White balance and boosted the saturation, vibrance and clarity. Next I used the app Painteresque to add the Painteresque 2 painterly preset. Finally I used the app PhotoToaster to add the Contrast preset, the Vibrant FX, a small dark vignette and the Canvas texture. I then added the Leather frame.

Today's image was taken this afternoon. The view is of the Parish Church of St Swithin in the village of Barston, in the borough of Solihull. This Church was built in 1721, although there was a church on this site during the Middle Ages with parish records dating back to 1598.

The photo was taken using the app ExposerGL on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Snapseed to edit the photo. I cropped the image and applied the Tonal contrast filter. I then boosted the Warmth, Ambiance and saturation, then added a vignette. Next I used the app Painteresque to add the Painteresque 2 painterly preset. Finally I used the app PhotoToaster to add the Recover Highlights preset, the Cross Process FX and a Medium dark vignette. I then added the Canvas texture and the Parchment frame.

Today's image was taken in the Longford area of Coventry. The view is of a Narrow Boat moored up near the rear of the Longford Engine pub. I liked the reflection of both the boat and the pub in the Canal.

The photo was taken using the app Camera Awesome on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Snapseed to edit the image. I cropped the photo and applied the Tonal Contrast preset. I then added some extra Saturation, ambiance and warmth. Next I used the app Painteresque to apply a custom version of the Painteresque 2 preset. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Tone preset, the Vibrant FX, a small dark vignette. I then added the Stucco texture and the Charcoal frame.

Beautiful Beaulieu on a very cold end of April morning. Beaulieu Hampshire.

(90/366) This is the "straight off the iPhone" original of this photo I posted for Sliders Sunday (see first image in comments below). Edited with Painteresque "Mars" & Distressed FX apps. The view from the top of our garden as I put the chickens away the other night. Thanks Eileen for letting me know this is a cumulonimbus incus or Anvil cloud. Happy Telegraph Tuesday. Busy day so I'll catch up with comments tomorrow.
