One from our summer in the Alps, when the sun shone endlessly and every day held new discoveries. A reflection of the Pain de Sucre in Lac Foreant. I have a. new lens to try out today so I'll take it as part of my exercise lockdown allowance, perhaps a long beach walk as it's a. perfect tide. Liquid Sugar is by Maps. Even in the mountains I can't resist reflections.
For My Pain was pretty awesome Finnish heavy metal band, those who are familiar with Nightwish... should enjoy Tuomas' another project.

In the last couple of days white petals surrounded this thistle flower structure. Today they blew away leaving the ovary, stigma and anthers intact. The flower structure at left shows the next stage. As you will recognise, these flowers are not the gardener's friend.
To me, renaissance man is a tragic figure as there is no place within his interior world where he can deposit his pain (what he does instead is to project/carry this pain to others).

This is a photo of a computer screen showing an image I had published yesterday. This time, I used my old Fuji X-Pro1 and the even older Helios 44M-7, 2/58. I think it is the stronger image. It gives more space for understanding pain as a collaborative process between the actual source of pain and the preparedness to deal with it. This is even more relevant when pain is related to worry, trauma, guilt, exclusion, despair. This pain is not to get rid of, it can be be used as a medium for change.
