It's been a while since we've checked in at the Cherry Blossom Ranch.* Let's see how things are going...
Padmé Amidala: Caesar is getting hungry. Almost feeding time, big fellow.
If Paprihaven is a place that offers fresh starts, second chances, new directions, or improved old paths, the Cherry Blossom Ranch epitomizes it.
Padmé Amidala is the Queen of Naboo. Accepting the ticket and finding herself in Paprihaven, Padmé discovered that, though she has not left her old life behind, the Cherry Blossom Ranch has been a great place to forget royal edicts for a while and enjoy the quiet, focused, hard work of ranching and farming.
Edge: Yep, Fathorse is feeling it too. **
Since Paprihaven has a robust fighting league, Edge has found that he can continue to enjoy combat sports and unwind here at the ranch.
Terra: You know what I'm feeling? A sore back! Anyone going to help with this bale of hay??
Of all the unique individuals Sakura has offered a home to, Terra needed a reset more than any. Young, deceived, a betrayer and betrayed, she arrived in Paprihaven with plenty of anger and distrust, but the Cherry Blossom Ranch has calmed her soul.
Edge: You can lift mountains!
Terra: I can control earth. Bales of hay are not earth and they're very heavy.
Sakura continues to hug and stroke Dumplin, enjoying the cool of the evening with all the ranch hands on deck.
So, it would seem at our check-in that Cherry Blossom Ranch is doing just fine.

In Ladakh, spiritual practice isn't confined to the monastery; it waits on the roadside. For this woman, the Mala (prayer beads) is a constant companion. Tibetan Buddhists believe that saying the mantra (prayer), Om Mani Padme Hum, out loud or silently to oneself, invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings of Chenrezig, the embodiment of compassion. Her name means "Lotus" but it's also a part of one of the most important Tibetan mantra,i wanted a meaningful name for her'cause to me she has something special :-)

Patience pays off when I finally got to photograph Padme's cub in the viewing area. Glass reflections uncontrolled little subject were offset by first time mum, Padme's supremely relaxed attitude.
Cooler weather encouraged the three snow leopards to emerge at North Wales Mountain zoo and enjoy the occasional sunshine.

18 month old Quilian cuddles up to his now much smaller mum, Padme and rolls up his eyes as if appealing. Mum is probably wishing this annoying teenager moved on.
Padme ventured out into the enclosure and looked back at partner Sumbe who opted to stay inside. Note how well she blends with the natural stone background.
If there's one thing about Tibetan babies, it's that they're awfully cute. As for the grannies and grandads - they are perhaps, even cuter. Without being disrepectful, I find old Tibetan faces amazingly beautiful, with so much character and soul.
Here, a lovely old lady smiles at me, while she recites her Mani mantras, prayer wheel in one hand and 'mala' in the other. After this picture was taken, she directed me to the main temple, and urged me to make my own wishes. If I could make one wish - let me make it world peace, where all beings live with compassion, love, generosity and true happiness.

Oṃ maṇipadme hūṃ (Sanskrit: ओं मणिपद्मे हूं, IPA: [õːː məɳipəd̪meː ɦũː]) is a mantra particularly associated with the four-armed Shadakshari form of Avalokiteshvara. Mani means the jewel and Padma-the lotus. It is the six syllabled mantra of the bodhisattva of compassion, Avalokiteshvara (Tibetan Chenrezig, Chinese Guanyin).
The mantra is especially revered by the devotees of the Dalai Lama, as he is said to be an incarnation of Chenrezig or Avalokiteshvara.
It is commonly carved onto rocks and written on paper which is inserted into prayer wheels, said to increase the mantra's effects. Mantras may be interpreted by practitioners in many ways, or even as mere sequences of sound whose effects lie beyond strict meaning.
The middle part of the mantra, maṇipadme, is often interpreted as "jewel in the lotus," Sanskrit maṇí "jewel, gem, cintamani" and the locative of padma "lotus", but according to Donald Lopez it is much more likely that maṇipadme is in fact a vocative, not a locative, addressing a bodhisattva called maṇipadma, "Jewel-Lotus"- an alternate epithet of the bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. It is preceded by the oṃ syllable and followed by the hūṃ syllable, both interjections without linguistic meaning.
Lopez also notes that the majority of Tibetan Buddhist texts have regarded the translation of the mantra as secondary, focusing instead on the correspondence of the six syllables of the mantra to various other groupings of six in the Buddhist tradition. For example, in the Chenrezig Sadhana, Tsangsar Tulku Rinpoche expands upon the mantra's meaning, taking its six syllables to represent the purification of the six realms of existence.

I wanted to make Padmé for my Attack of the Clones series because the arena outfit is my favorite of hers for the trilogy.
For the figure, I used electrical tape for the belt and bands around the arms, procreate for the pouches, and painted the rest.
She's armed with a completely custom sculpted E-5 Droid blaster which was an absolute bitch to make but I'm really proud of it.

Hectorrail gibt ihren Loks gerne allerhand verschiedene Namen, so sind auch mehrere von Star-Wars Charakteren vertreten. Als "Amidala" wurde die 241.013 getauft, die erst 2022 als 185 564 von MRCE gekauft wurde. Zeitgeich wurde auch die 185 571 als 241.014 übernommen, sie trägt den Namen "Ackbar".
Am 14. Juni war die 241.013 mit einem Kesselwagenzug von Großkorbetha nach Basel unterwegs, wobei ich sie zwischen Weingarten und Karlsruhe-Durlach fotografierte.
This is pretty much unchanged from earlier pics. On the sides of the building, where the table drops down, you can see my 'oh-crap-I-forgot-to-build-walls' walls. There were about four of these that I attached to the sides with a single bracket.
Padme watching over her 10 month old son who is almost as big as her. However shortly after this shot she decided that his ears need cleaning.

Padme and Quilian play out on their rocks while eating their food. Quilian has got quite a distinctive triangle marking around his eye so that will help identify him.

Long before roads connected these mountains, long before the borders of modern India and Tibet existed, Buddhist teachers journeyed through the high passes carrying texts, prayer flags, and stories. Among the teachings they brought, this mantra became the heart of everyday spiritual life.
Its history stretches back over a thousand years. In the 10th and 11th centuries, when Buddhism was spreading through Tibet and the Himalayan belt, this mantra became a simple way for ordinary people — herders, farmers, monks, and pilgrims — to connect with the core Buddhist value of karuṇa: compassion.
The six syllables are simple, yet they hold an entire way of life: OM — a reminder to walk gently, without pride; MA — to let go of jealousy and small comparisons; NI — to soften desire and keep the heart content; PAD — to clear away confusion, like fog lifting from the hills; ME — to act with generosity; HUM — to root all actions in compassion.
Together they tell a story the people here have lived for centuries - that wisdom is not found in distant heavens, but in the human heart, in kindness offered without being asked, in the quiet strength of families who survive winter after winter, in the way villagers will share butter tea with a stranger before asking where he has come from.
Historically, communities across mountain regions of the Himalayas believed that the mantra doesn’t just benefit the reciter - it blesses the environment, the village, and even the traveller passing by. By reciting the mantra, villagers were not only praying for themselves but also for all sentient beings, reflecting the Himalayan understanding that humans, animals, forests, spirits, and natural forces all share the same moral space.
In a world that changes faster each year, the mantra remains a constant cultural anchor, linking present-day Himalayan communities to centuries of faith, resilience, and shared humanity.

Anakin, Padme, R2-D2 and C-3PO have infiltrated the Separatist droid foundry on Geonosis and are ambushed by the Geonosians! Pull the pins to shut the door and drop the heroes onto the conveyor belt. Turn the wheel to move the conveyor belts and help them escape through the assembly line! Watch out for swinging robot arms, stomping presses, and chopping blades! Use the swiveling robot arm to assemble the droids. C-3PO has lost his head! Attach R2-D2's rocket boosters and turn the knob on the tower to have him fly to the rescue! Rearrange the assembly modules to create your own foundry layout.
