Rue Championet | Rue de Poteau 15/07/2022 17h56
The corner of the Rue Championnet and Rue de Poteau in the 18ème arrondissement of Paris. On the spot I was capturing PA_656.
Rue Championnet
Rue Championnet opened in the year 1858 between rue des Poissonniers and rue Damrémont under the name Oudot (see rue du Colonel-Oudot). And in 1867 to the Avenue de Saint-Ouen. In 1877 the whole street was renamed in honor of Jean Etienne Championnet, major general during the Revolution.
Length: 1,870 meters
Width: 14 - 20 meters

Rue du Poteau
Rue du Poteau is a 750 meters long and 15 meters wide street in the 18ème arrondissement of Paris in the quartiers Grandes-Carrières and Clignancourt. This street starts at Rue Ordener and rue du Mont-Cenis and ends at Boulevard Ney.
The street takes its name from a locality, so named because of a post of justice high on the road to Saint-Ouen.
Rue du Poteau was originally a street in the town of Montmartre. It became Parisian when Montmartre was annexed by Paris in 1860. At that time, it only designated the road between Boulevard Ney and Rue du Ruisseau.

In and around the year 2006 Invader made quite a lot so called Space Targets like we see here. This one is the result of a re-activation because the original has been deleted more than a decade ago. Time flies in the universe of space invaders.
