my strenghts: * I LOVE editing, too bad that some people (who almost always are jealous or don't know how edit) like to criticize my work and say I overedit and some other shit. Whatever, its MY work and I love it exactly how it is.

I finally was able to get out and do a shoot. I feel so accomplished. My mom helped me a lot today, and that was nice. :)

We got attacked by a bunch of wasps, were stalked by ghetto gangster creepers, and were burning up from the heat. But all that excluded, it was a successful shoot!

I wanted this to have a vintage-like feel to it. I don't know how well I pulled that off, but I didn't want to overedit it.

If my mouth isn't too swollen, or my cheeks arent bruised after my wisdom teeth surgery, I am going to try to do a shoot again next weekend with my friend Ashley! So hopefully that will work out. :)

This a re-edit of a bobcat I got last winter. I zoomed and cropped and softened the face. Totally feline. I was careful not to oversaturate or overedit it this time around. It's good to save those raw originals with dates on the folders for future reference. As our editing skills increase we can always go back and get a different result.

I didn't do much post-processing on this save for the flower, reason being I feel like I often overedit.

I spent ages going through photos today, and edited at least 7. However, (though not particularly over the moon with this) I went with this one, because I thought when else would I actually use a photo with a new years eve noise maker? Gah! So I don't know, maybe I'll post the others in the week or something. I suppose it took me so long to decide which to post because I'm not in a regular habit of taking self portraits, nor even posting on flickr anymore. So due to this sort of awkward feeling I had while going through images, deciding which to post... I thought "Hrrmmm, at least this photo project will get me back into the habit of relearning things, editing, and the like". Does that make sense? Well whatevs, here ya go. First week, of 52. I've been saying it for too long that "I'll be around more often".. and then I fall off for a couple of months, only to come back and post something random. Yet this project is going to be just that.. random. I currently don't have any themes thought up, but maybe some will pop up along the way. But hey, already for this week, I had the option of posting photos of our new kitty, and also various portraits of myself. So already, I'm picking up my camera more, and capturing life.

At the end of this.. I hope to have met more fellow photographers... I want to add to my portrait series... and well... I still have loads of learning to do with editing, and to be quite honest, I don't think I've learned much more since my last project. I could make all sorts of excuses (working, interning, graduate school, social/recreational life) but I'll try not to dwell on excuses to much! Womp.

This is the year of DOING many of my friends are saying.

Oh yeah... I doubt I'll be writing much like this in upcoming photos. I just felt the need to waffle a bit, as I haven't done so in ages on here.

Took this shot in Cape May/NJ in August 2024. I don't like to overedit and like to be as true to the original shot as possible. Hence the sky and the ocean are rather bland (shot around 7pm?), but I do love the boat and the texture of sand. Your thoughts?

SPRING HAS FINALLY SPRUNG! no edit to the photo, besides the obvious.

three - school is over in a month, and then comes my final year.

Hey, everyone !

I'd like to meet my cat, Undina. If you have browsed through and stumbled upon old photos from my stream, you would have seen several earlier shots of her. Of course, never was she so at rest. This is so simple, guys, but I decided I didn't want to overedit such a candid moment, her expression was just so wonderful. It's SOOC except for the curves adjustment, by the way. I'm not very good at cropping, so I decided to leave it as is. If you guys have a suggestion for an alternate crop, you can add a note on top of covering the area of the desired one. That would be much appreciated.

In gym class today, I took the beep test and was very satisfied with my results. In case you aren't fimiliar with that term, the beep test is a physical assessment involving running continuously back and forth between two points at increasing speeds determined by the beeps that get shorter every "stage". I got to a stage higher than the other girls in my class. I was recommended by the coach for the track and field, and soccer team, how great! Maybe I should really begin trying out for sport teams. If you never challenge yourself, you'll never know what you missed out on.

Your streams are so amazing, I can associate every beautiful photo with a melody or song. Which reminds me... I feel like I accidentally overedit my photos sometimes, so here's a nice simple photo representing our desert winters which consist of overcast, cold, and wind.

And I've always enjoyed photos with text on them, but never really got the hang of the placement, so I'm trying again.
