The Milky Way core rising over the tall sand dunes at Sturgeon Bay, Wilderness State Park, Northern Michigan

Most wondrous and spectacular cloud formation I have ever seen! The pink tones were vibrant and intense.

The cloud looked like it was from outer space. It hovered above the mountain range from mid-afternoon to late evening and it was visible from miles away.

A cumulonimbus incus also known as an anvil cloud is a mature thunderstorm cloud generating many dangerous elements. This storm cloud is capable of producing bursts of cloud to ground lightning, heavy rain and strong winds.

had some fun experimenting with different editing ...again! This is the same flower in the image I uploaded yesterday, midnight star, this time from side on.

So I downloaded a trial version of Photoshop.

Holy crap.

Do I ever have a lot to learn.

This here's my first shot at editing in PS. I was tempted to give it a go in my regular (Canon) editing program but... that would be almost like cheating.

Now I just need 30 days of uninterrupted time and space to learn PS. (Ha ha ha. As IF. But hey, a gal can dream.)

ETA: Oil on water. The texture comes from the glass dish because the water was shallow, and the background is a greeting card with a metallic strip on it that lit up when lit with the LED macro light. This is pretty much as shot other than the usual adjustments, and a ton of cloning out the stuff that ended up on the surface of the water, lol.
