I am so addicted to these stunning animals!! They are such a joy to spend time with and photograph.
Quality 'me' time spent at British Wildlife Centre. I cannot recommend it enough for your mental health and wellbeing.
I waited patiently for a couple of hours in poor light and pouring rain watching this beautiful otter hunting close to the shore and was eventually rewarded with just a couple of photo opportunities. Worth getting very wet for!
Taken with a long telephoto lens + extender and then cropped so as not to disturb its natural behaviour.

Mother flanked by her two cubs. Although the cubs are almost full grown mum was definitely in charge here - any hint of danger and she would call her cubs back to her side and they instantly obeyed.

As part of my sabbatical Scotland tour I'm now on Mull. I was lucky enough to encounter this fine dog Otter on 2 occasions - he really did look to be in his prime and I'll be posting more of him from time to time.
