Another #osh18 highlight was the formation flight of these two F7F Tigercats. What an amazing sight!
UPS departing Oshkosh. The aircraft was empty and only needed enough fuel for the short hop to MKE. The mains lifted off shortly after this shot before the rotation was complete, and the plane had a takeoff roll less than 4000 feet.

The aircraft has been painted in the markings of a typical B-17G assigned to the 534th Bombardment Squadron ("GD"), 381st Bombardment Group (Triangle L), 8th Air Force flying out of RAF Ridgewell in England in late 1944.

Looking back on one of the highlights of #osh17. There’s a lot going on in this image besides the obvious center of attention. ——————————
Some of the aircraft that can be seen from left to right in the background are Scaled Composites Proteus, the B-29 FiFi, the C-47 That’s All Brother, and another of the Air Force’s heavy bomber fleet, the B-52 60-0015. —————————-
There’s nothing quite like Oshkosh, and it is even more amazing at night! Looking forward to #osh18!
