To connect, and make sense of it all

Realize, through the chaos within

We measure what is everything but real

On a crooked scale

Happy Sliders Sunday!

Back in Norway for a few days... and we're greeted like old friends!

It's getting hard to know which side is the dream

When I can't tell if I am dreaming anymore

For a fine New Year.

And for Sliders Sunday.

HSS!

According to one tradition, the Callanish Stones were petrified giants who would not convert to Christianity.

Lucky them.

This was the second time we paid a nightly visit to the Abbey of the Blessed Mary of Waverley...

It was the second time we tried to catch some Perseids...

Well, at least we brought home some brilliant moon-lit shots of the wonderful ruins!

...didn't have the right lenses with me for moon close-ups, so here's the best thing one could do: try and capture the mood of the blood moon...

The principal defensive function of the barrage was to enable, in the event of an attack, the raising the level of the River Ill and thus the flooding of all the lands south of the city, making them impassable to the enemy.

We set out to try and find some picturesque ruins as our back drop for the Perseids meteor shower - which we did: Waverley Abbey didn't let us down in terms of its serenity and ruinedness - but then we did not manage to catch any of the meteors on "film", and to make it worse it started to overcloud quite rapidly...

Maybe we're a bit more lucky next time...

Off of 81st and Lewis, the iconic ORU Prayer Tower the center of the ORU campus in Tulsa.

I think I'm going north and now's the time to leave

The people there they say are good to strangers

And if I do my best and try to settle in

I'm sure I can be just like someone's neighbour

La domus de janas (3300-2500 a.C.) si trova in un'area adibita a pascolo, a cui si accede da una strada asfaltata disseminata di cartelli che segnalano la presenza di un'area militare.

It always amazes me of what was built on the campus of ORU in the early 60s. Such futuristic architecture was used, The fence at the fountain for Fenced Friday.
