We visited

"Saraswati Anath Shikshan Ashram" on Friday 4th Feb.

it was a great experience to see 50+ children taken care of by a dedicated guy, who at one point of time was abandoned on Pune Railway Station when he was a child! Currently he works as a laborer and still has no complaints to take care of 50+ kids.

It was very humbling experience to visit this small place in really poor area in Dapodi.

two small room shared by 40 kids on bunker beds and still being "happy" was very humbling experience!

very humbling experience.

I don't want to make it a sales pitch.. but if any of you can help.. please extend the help (to these guys or anyone like them).

Regarding this guy in the photo.. he was so affectionate that that he hugged almost everyone of us.. and boy.. the warmth of his hug is still with me.. and will remain.

Countdown to Uganda| Give the Gift of Water

We are counting the days until I leave for Uganda on Dec 15th 2013 and now more than ever we need your support to make it happen. Although my flight is booked, plans made and teams assembled, sadly we are still short of our goal to make this project a complete success. You may remember we are scheduled to complete the following over 8 weeks in Uganda:

· #1 We need to build a gravity-fed tap system (Phase 3) at St. Bonaventure School (in Mulajji Village) so children have all the safe water they need to stay hydrated, healthy, safe and alive

· #2 We need to build a gravity-fed irrigation system for children at Family Spirit AIDS Orphanage (Masindi, Uganda) so children can have food and learn farming skills

· #3 We need to build a shallow borehole for Family Spirit AIDS Orphanage (Masindi, Uganda) so children have safe water on site at school where they also live

Your support has been so crucial in the past and together we have accomplished so much. We are reaching out to you now because we need your help to finish what we started last year and bring hope to the of children and families in Mulajji. We are ready, they are waiting for us and we can’t get there without you. Every dollar, every penny in our wishing well makes a huge difference. Visit us here to find out more about our projects and contribute to our project in December. We’ll keep you apprised of our progress leading up to my departure Dec 15th.
