Well despite still being somewhat angry, and bitter, I've painted something... Something Orky!

First things first, painting Orks is fun... There is something really, really absorbing about painting green flesh. It has a highly different feel than flat armor surfaces, and I'm a little disappointed that it's taken me so long to actually paint one! If you've never had the pleasure, I suggest you do so! And Boss Snikrot is a blast of a figure. Plenty of character in the design! I know that the GW version has gone quite pale, but I wanted to push the green ^_^

Day one:

The Green:

1) 1:1 mix of Snot and Goblin green as a base coat.

2) Glazed the green with a 1:2 of Thraka green and Water

3) Highlight one with Goblin green. Highlight two with 1:1 mix of Goblin green and Golden yellow

4) Watered down Dark Angel Green and painted into the recesses.

The Leather:

1) Snakebite leather as base

2) Wash with Devlan Mud. That's it so far! Needs lots more.

The Silver:

1) 1:1 of Bolt Gun and Black.

2) One layer of Bolt Gun on the blade side. Still lots more to do.

Lots more to do everywhere, but I'm just glad to be painting

Concepto: Feral Ork / Orko Salvaje

Los Orkos salvajes pertenecen a una especie “alienígena” que conquista planetas y busca el conflicto bélico contra otras razas inteligentes que sean dignos de una batalla a escala galáctica. 🚀

Cuando los Orks están encarnizados por la sed de sangre de una batalla suelen olvidar a sus hermanos rezagados y sus naves abandonan el planeta para nunca regresar y continuar la batalla en otro punto galáctico; El Orko que es abandonado por su caudillo (líder de guerra) quedan a merced del enemigo o la fauna salvaje, en estas circunstancias se activa su mecanismo de supervivencia y comienza a reproducirse asexualmente por medio de micro-esporas que brotan de su piel que se desarrollaran rápidamente en una nueva generación de jóvenes Orkos Salvajes. (Por lo general el orko progenitor ya debió morir luego esparcir las esporas.) 😢

Al completar su desarrollo y sobrevivir los jóvenes orkos se reúnen en tribus primitivas y atrofian sus recuerdos tecnológicos para centrar su energía en seguir luchando con los medios disponibles como piedras, hierro y huesos por lo tanto el exilio borra su comprensión de la tecnología avanzada en espera que la siguiente generación de esporas pueda progresivamente desbloquear nuevos avances tecnológicos que están ocultos en su memoria genética hereditaria para obtener la ingeniería suficiente que los impulse a abandonar el planeta o vencer los desafíos. (Queda aclarar que si las condiciones de la batalla o el planeta son muy extremas la siguiente generación será más fuerte y un poco más inteligente.) 😨 👹

Como dato curioso en el lenguaje Orko se remplaza la “C” por una “K” en todas las palabras y pronunciaciones. 😆
